Does anyone remember a few years ago the Colorado woman who brought a suit regarding making a cake for a gay wedding and the SCOTUS ruled in favor of that woman when just like this case there was no actual legal proceeding.

In particular, if they're in a loving relationship, and yes, it happens often to women in their late teens or early 20s, they should be able to enjoy a healthy sex life with their boyfriend, and not be forced into this medieval chastity BS you're trying to force upon them. And if the condom breaks, or their pill fails, which actually happens fairly often, then they shouldn't have their lives ruined by a child they don't want to have.

That the challenge to mifepristone reached the Supreme Court in such a short amount of time was no accident - a result of the “judge-shopping” phenomenon seen most recently on major political issues including health care, firearms and abortion.
The case challenging the FDA’s approval of mifepristone and subsequent access changes was filed in the Amarillo Division of US District Court of the Northern District of Texas, where US District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk - an appointee of Trump who had previously worked for a religious liberty legal organization - is assigned to hear all cases under local rules.
The 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals threw out part of the ruling - saying Kacsmaryk was incorrect in blocking the drug’s approval in 2000 - but left in the injunction against FDA’s actions on access, a ruling that could have a major impact on how the agency and US drug companies operate.
The high court essentially was left with no choice but to take up the case.
The US Judicial Conference this month instituted process changes that would limit the guaranteed impact of judge shopping, but that doesn’t mean social and political lawsuits won’t continue.
I had a missed miscarriage in 2020 babies had no heart beat at my next appointment I had no idea I still felt pregnant, I was able to take this medication with no problems, they really need to stay out of women’s heath.
Then restrict the medication and have it available from doctors for miscarriage management only. Easy solution.

Abortion medication is used until about 10 weeks in pregnancy. There’s no “child” unless a woman brings that embryo to term, gestates it willingly for 9 months. You can disagree until you’re blue in the face, but really, it’s always been that way. If they banned mifepristone, women would just buy through Europe more or take the second drug, misoprostol without mife. We will never go back to coat hanger days or septic hospital wards, but abortion should be legal and accessible in all states. Until then, abortion medication can be sent TO ALL STATES.

Gov't should focus on regulating prices of medicines
A majority of Supreme Court justices appeared skeptical Tuesday of the idea of a nationwide ban or new limits on mifepristone, the primary drug used for medication abortions.
The case was the first abortion-related hearing since the court reversed Roe v. Wade and the proceedings at time went into detail of the process and any complications of the use of medication abortion.
At issue in the case are lower-court rulings that would have rolled back recent Food and Drug Administration decisions to ease access to the mifepristone. A district court had instituted a nationwide ban as well.
the case may simply be determined on whether the doctors who brought the original lawsuit had the ability to bring the case in the first place.
Conservative and liberal justices demanded to know why access to mifepristone needed to be limited if the small number of doctors involved could simply exercise their own religious and conscientious objections individually.

There is no medication on the market that does not have a mile long list of side effects. Are they advocating to have them ALL removed.
If the side effect is DEATH of a human being over 99% of the time when taken by a pregnant woman then that's a bad side effect - the only time that medicine should be used by a pregnant woman is if it's the only way to save her life.
There are restrictions on the generic form of Accutane (an acne drug) where it cannot be given to pregnant women but it can be given to others... Why those restrictions? Because the drug can cause severe birth defects (to the woman's body? NOPE - i.e. #NotHerBody). We can have the same restrictions for Mifepristone - i.e. only use it for miscarriage management or if it happens to be the only way to save the life of a pregnant woman.

Abortion is termination of a pregnancy. I had one when my embryo was not viable at 9 weeks and had no heartbeat and no growth for over a week. My body would not terminate the pregnancy on its own so i had to seek healthcare to avoid septicemia.

@@loiskingsbury8048 I had one when my embryo was 5 weeks because my husband and I had just gotten married and were not ready for parenthood. When you're not ready for a baby, you might do stuff like drinking and taking potentially teratogenic medications. It was a huge relief. But it wasn't until our first child was born that I fully realized how lucky we were to have abortion as an option. Thankfully, the children we planned to have are healthy and loved--something we might not have had if we'd had to go through a forced pregnancy and birth beforehand.
Laziness should never be an excuse for abortion. I'm healthy doctor I'm just to lazy to raise a child and to selfish to let someone else do it and way too ignorant to let the Dad do it.
