I can’t believe I am saying this, because I have never been a fan, but Larry is right. I would like to disagree with one small point, Trump is a psychopath not a sociopath. The difference is that Trump is unable to feel positive emotion unless he is inflicting suffering and a power differential on someone else. Think about the constant public denigrating comments, the overt aggressive sexuality, what we know about his dealings with Michael Forbes’ family in Scotland, and the widow he forced out of her home in Atlantic City, recall his promise to prosecute Liz Cheney, Cassidy Hutchinson, Gen. Mark Milley, and Mike Pence. We must not allow this psychopathic misanthrope into our White House again.
A sociopath is someone for whom emotions in others do not evoke emotions in themselves. In other words, a lack of empathy. A normal person, heck...most mammals have empathy, and it is involuntary. Then others around them evoke/express emptions, they can not help but feel those emotions. It is literally how we are wired. Even our favorite pets...dogs have empathy. That is why when you are down and sad, your dog feels sad to. He can't help it. The part of the brain that makes this happen is the limbic region. In sociopaths, this region of their brain does not function. From what I have seen, Trump is a sociopath to a T. Sociopaths are actually more common than we know. About 1 person in 40-50 has a low or non-functioning limbic region.

I can’t believe I am saying this, because I have never been a fan, but Larry is right. I would like to disagree with one small point, Trump is a psychopath not a sociopath. The difference is that Trump is unable to feel positive emotion unless he is inflicting suffering and a power differential on someone else. Think about the constant public denigrating comments, the overt aggressive sexuality, what we know about his dealings with Michael Forbes’ family in Scotland, and the widow he forced out of her home in Atlantic City, recall his promise to prosecute Liz Cheney, Cassidy Hutchinson, Gen. Mark Milley, and Mike Pence.
We must not allow this psychopathic misanthrope into our White House again.
A sociopath is someone for whom emotions in others do not evoke emotions in themselves. In other words, a lack of empathy. A normal person, heck...most mammals have empathy, and it is involuntary. Then others around them evoke/express emptions, they can not help but feel those emotions. It is literally how we are wired. Even our favorite pets...dogs have empathy. That is why when you are down and sad, your dog feels sad to. He can't help it. The part of the brain that makes this happen is the limbic region. In sociopaths, this region of their brain does not function.
From what I have seen, Trump is a sociopath to a T. Sociopaths are actually more common than we know. About 1 person in 40-50 has a low or non-functioning limbic region.
