The PROBLEM with Video Game Theme Parks...

I’d love to see a Super Nintendo World Theme Park that covers multiple Nintendo IPs including Super Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Pokémon, Splatoon, and other franchises! It’s not just Super Mario and Donkey Kong that deserve their own theme park lands! A massive full-blown Super Nintendo World theme park with lots of Nintendo IPs in their own dedicated themed lands!

Disney does have Kingdom Hearts and Epic Mickey though. Kingdom Hearts would be kinda hard to turn into a whole land, especially with Square owning the Final Fantasy side of it. But I could see some smaller scale attractions working. Epic Mickey though could possibly have a mini-land based on Wasteland. A lot of what's in the game wouldn't make sense because Wasteland is supposed to be based on Disneyland, but they could still have it filled with "forgotten" IP like Oswald, Ortensia, the Bunny children, Clarabelle and Horace, even the Mad Doctor. There could be a Mickeyjunk Mountain rollercoaster. Maybe something based on the Gremlins?

I honestly could see Universal doing something Minecraft related. In Super Smash Bros Ultimate Minecraft Steve also made an appearance, so there's already some kind of connection. But i wouldn't know how you wanna put a ride attraction into the minecraft blocky style.

you come at the Zelda idea from a Universal standpoint, however if they have a deal with Nintendo I feel like it would behoove nintendo to push for more cultural relevance for their title of Zelda (as pokemon doesn't need any more press tbh) especially as they are talking about movies coming out. I think a forward thinking perspective would still have a good possibility of Zelda theming. However the obvious counter to this is that pokemon is way easier to merchandise to they'd probably see more financial viability there, unless they want to work to make Zelda on par with the other 2 using this as a stepping stone.
Also here's a list of icons that immediately point to zelda; Pieces of Heart, Rupees, Sling Shot, Boomerang, Hookshot, Bow and Arrow, Master Sword, Shieka Slate, bombschus, Twinrova, Ganon (beast form) and Ganondorf (human form), Hyrule Castle, The Deku Tree, Gorons, Zora's, Gerudo, Magic Fairies both big and small, lon lon milk, Epona, Skultulas, octorocks, koroks, big blocks, winglofts, potion shops, poe swaps.
I mean there genuinely is no shortage of iconic symbols, enemies, items, and weapons no different from mario. And I get that historically mario has had more relevance, but I mean when you look at the last time they both had main title entries release in the same year (odyssey and botw) Zelda sold almost 5 million copies more so I don't think it's as large of a disparity as you might suggest.
And while I fundamentally disagree with your prediction of what will happen, as I know dirty capitalists will be dirty capitalists and feed off whatever low hanging nostalgia bate they can turn into cash, I do absolutely agree that I would much rather see theme parks open back up to new fresh ideas and storytelling in those ideas. But I'm afraid that IParks are likely here to stay as we know just how creative the people controlling the money are.
So I guess the best we can hope for then is that Starfox coaster!

USJ is already building Pokémon which is replacing their Spider-Man ride.
Alleged US lands include Luigi's Mansion for one of the two SNW Epic Universe expansion pads, Pokémon to replace Simpsons at USF, and Zelda to replace Lost Continent at IoA.
US Pokémon is to be a similar dark ride to Web Slingers at DCA from current rumors, tying into the bands and app to collect and battle Pokémon on the ride.
Luigi's Mansion AR dark ride with the Poltergust as the game mechanic is all anyone has heard of so far.
Zelda boat ride that turns into a suspended dark ride may be brought back to life.
No coasters that I'm aware of, all dark rides.

I feel it should be noted, Sony has already licensed 2 game properties into theme parks recently.
One is the Uncharted Coaster in Port Adventura, and the 2nd is the last of Us house at Halloween Horror Nights.

Everyone forgetting the real best video game land: angry birds land

At the upcoming Universal Vegas theme park there may be an attraction based on Five nights at Freddy's, and I'm pretty sure that's gonna be our next video game to be turned into a theme park attraction.

Some people have brought up the possibility of a Minecraft land and honestly, though it doesn't make me too excited, I could totally see that happen. That would be the perfect thematic experience for kids, and probably not too expensive to build.

I think calling the stuff with the band at Super Nintendo World just "interactive elements" does it a bit of a disservice. Its not like the wands at Wizarding World that just activate small show scenes, Super Nintendo World is an actual game with a final boss at the end. It is 100% possible to "lose" these minigames and you have to beat a certain number of them to even gain access to the final boss. Heck, I'm pretty sure you can even lose the Mario Kart ride. So I do disagree that video game lands don't work as well as theme park lands, since these elements can still be retained if you're creative enough.

Bayonetta is actually a Sega franchise, Nintendo only happens to publish the newer games.

For Disney, I could imagine them doing a Kingdom Hearts ride or land. But given Square Enix and Nomura, it would probably only happen in Tokyo Disney and they’re probably not going to be able to use the Final Fantasy characters that appear in KH
Also, as far as non Nintendo video game IPs go at Universal, I can see them using some if they do a Smash Bros ride or even land. But the only one that I know they most certainly won’t be able to get the theme park rights to is Sora due to Disney

Can only dream, but A Splatoon land would go so hard ngl. There is so much world building and iconic elements in that series that they could easily make an entire fleshed out area if the series ever got popular enough.

Singapore definently does not have enough space to house and entire new pokemon land with the already upcoming mario and minion land coming. Not sure if they will have any expansion plots within their version of the mario land but we will eventually find out.

If they do make a Pokemon gym ride, the Gym leader should be none other than Micheal Vick.

Aside from Starfox, Zelda is by far my favorite Video Game Series. They have tons of cool stuff and Lore in their History to make for a cool Land for sure, and with Zelda being Nintendos next Movie Project after the Mario Movie, I’m sure they will also try to expand the Brand to Theme Parks. That being said, I agree that it will attract fewer people than Mario or Pokémon.

Technically Pokemon already had a bunch of theme parks, or rather rides, in Japan before. Usually they're virtual rides or thrill rides/coasters with the mons being the ride (like the commonly seen Rayquaza coaster)

Starfox.... I hope they do something with smash Brothers. A show that entails a "real life" Smash bros match would be awesome. Watching any of the Nintendo icons in a battle using special effects, animatronics, pyrotechnics, and screens would be amazing to witness.

For Pokemon, Singapore would work really well. However, I think we got to wait for a while for even a rumour of this to happen. USS are currently building Minions and supposedly Nintendo (not really) so yeah wait 3 years and maybe.

I love this idea and thinking and theorizing about this. And I think a pokemon would be cool. The only issue is that I think the world looks way too close to our world. For an IP to work, I believe it needs to stand out from everyday life in the world, and pokemon just doesn’t have that super styleized look in their landscapes and buildings. This isn't hate against the IP, just my thoughts. Also, as you mentioned in this video, you need to interact with the world as you would in the video game. Which is why I think minecraft would be a super difficult one to do. As much as I'd love to step into a minecraft world pixilated and everything. I can't build my wizard tower wherever I want, which is the allure to minecraft and would be missing a lot of the magic of that world. An IP that I believe would do this (I don't think it would be built because of its dark story basis just using it as an example) is an IP like Fallout. It has the instantly recondiseable world, and you can have all sorts of things to explore, which is the main allure of that world. And again, I'm not trying to show any hate to any of these IPs or this video. You just sent me down the rabbit hole of thinking about this. I absolutely love your content and keep up the great work!

With the rise of Sonic's popularity mostly striving from works outside of gaming like his movie franchise and many TV shows his IP definitely has a shot of being a full fledge land but like you mentioned I don't think Disney or Universal would be open to working with sega on this front. However, a major point I feel you missed is how Disney already has a great relationship with Epic Games and even invests in their company I do see a possibility where Fortnite could be a videogame land that Disney develops but it would depend on how long they think Fortnite would last. I do like the wreck it ralph idea but I do feel like the possibility of Fortnite is much higher than that happening. Saw another comment that brings up minecraft and that franchise definetly has the potential to be as immersive as nintendo land currently is.

I'm hoping for better sizing on the rides. Both me and my brother are 6ft and up, so neither of us are likely to fit on the notoriously small Nintendo rides as far as I can tell.

Idk, I was talking with my friends in line for Mario Kart and was thinking that if Nintendo expanded a ride per franchise the would be amazing. Just imagine a Star Fox Ride going through Corneria or an F-Zero high speed thrill ride. I think gaming, if not Nintendo can expand upon the theme park idea. Along with that, the merchandise sells like crazy. Both the Super Star and Kart popcorn buckets alone must make Universal insane profit.

I imagine a Pokémon themed amusement park as a half a mile - mile stretch of one specific region, most likely Kanto. Kinda like Cedar Point but with routes where you use Pokémon Go to catch tons of Pokémon and Gyms where you either go through simulator rides or defeat the gym leader with Pokémon caught in previous routes to progress to other areas. The Pokémon Center could be half PokéStop half restaurant and maybe something else? Idk but I believe that whoever makes the amusement park could do something amazing with it.

The Witcher if you count it as a gaming Frenchaise (it was based on books but well eveyone knows it really coz of games), and i would not be suprised if CD Project would work with Centerbridge Partners after they took overship of Global Park of Poland. Just deppends if they have a kind of money to put this threw. They have around 1000 acers near Warsaw with easy connections all across Europe.

A final fantasy land would be huge, probably the only franchise that rivals Mario.

It's just a leak but a photo of Eiji Aonuma the creator of most Zelda games where he was seen wearing builders clothing in the theme park was leaked where he gave instructions to Construction builders. So I think they are making a Zelda park after all

Nah I think the problem is aging. Mario fits because it’s timeless by now. But think about the new Tron ride in magic kingdom. Most people don’t even know that was a movie or movie remake…let alone remember the remake. So it’s a lot of dough to invest in an IP that has no sequels or lasting power
