I live near an FDNY station and holy they are happy to control the siren and horn. Middle of the night or day they come outta their bays horns and sirens blazing.

Great compilation. When I saw the part with the Los Angeles 37's I couldn't believe how long it took to get traffic to stop in that intersection.
they didn't even stop, that godforsaken mercedes should've gotten taken out with how close it got to the ladder truck
It's nice to see them going out of the way and keeping the community safe it's also frustrating to see people take too long to pull over when they're responding lights and sirens to a call these people need to understand that they're in a hurry they don't want to be too late

I have massive respect for firefighters around the world simply because of their job which is to run towards danger knowing they might not see their friends and family again while us civilians run away and I'm thankful for that
I used to be a firefighter. I tell you, I can't watch this stuff without tearing up. I miss it.

Watching emergency services charging to a response with lights flashing and sirens blaring is an awesome sight. But the way some folks just wont get out of their way pisses me off.
FDNY needs to install an old school dozer blade on the front of their rigs to push those pricks out of the way.

The worst part is those people who will not yield an inch to an emergency vehicle are the same ones who will complain when it takes the FD 20 minutes to show up when they call.

All trucks should have dash cams and every car that fails to yield (when it is possible) should receive a heavy fine

In addition, at 4:04 someone dared jaywalk in front of the same vehicle. If I was its driver, I would be so annoyed! Therefore, if it was Rescue 2, I would have used the K5LA, as jaywalking pesters me very much. 😠😡

It's a wonderful sight seeing and hearing firetrucks driving in the streets, even though almost 100% of the times it's obviously because something is on fire.
I love firetrucks, I'm also a grandson of a firefighter.
Most of the times firefighters respond to medical emergencies, since they're usually required to have emt certification.
The house is that yet again today I have to go like last week if you don't have to go home and take your time off the phone number and I'll send it from the store y too late swf. I love American fire trucks, they are so big, long, wide, especially the ladder truck with the driver in the back, and the horn is so loud. in Switzerland we only have small trucks

I’ve been driving emergency vehicles for the past 9 years. If I were to work in nyc, I woul’ve busted a couple horns, cars rear bumpers and got a couple complains. Damn fdny driver are patient people !

Personal opinion: in convoy response the first rig should pull road guard then pick up at the tail end of the chain. Makes it smoother.

I love FDNY, they are an amazing fire dept, I like them because when they get to a building fire they don't just spray the windows, they get inside and put the fire out from the inside out. Cobra, are you a engine guy or a truckie?(Even if you are not in the fire dept. you have to be either a engine guy or a truck guy)
They are great! They do everything, they really get in there and go all over.

NYC especially. People have no where to go to make an open lane for emergency vehicles.
You mean only new york
California along with Georgia and Florida. Any city that is congested is a pain for these first responders. Worse part is some people just freeze up when they have sirens behind them. They have no clue what to do. They are not taught to move over. I drive otr and if i seem them coming i pull over before any turn off street. Not always easy to do if you have nowhere to do it but you can run red lights if you pay attention in order to find a pull off for them.

It has the equipment. It's a Heavy Rescue Crane.
What really drives me crazy are idiotic drivers who will not stop or pull over long enough to let fire and emergency apparatus get through! I was told by a firefighter that if you can't get out of the way just stop and let the apparatus go around you. I've had to to that numerous times. They have my total and complete admiration for what they do.
