I’m a triplet and have some IMPORTANT advice. TREAT THEM AS INDIVIDUALS! Just because they’re twins doesn’t mean they will enjoy the same things. ALWAYS get them their own birthday cake and sing separately for each baby as you would a singleton. My sisters and I loved my parents did this. They’re beautiful and congratulations 🎉

We agreed to no middle names but I was still trying to convince him of the name JoAnn for a middle name because that too is the name of my grandmother who sadly passed from cancer. My name is literally Maisy Joan Holmes. HOW WEIRD. No one ever spells it with a Y and the fact that my middle name is from my Grandma is just so coincidental! Such beautiful names and to hear you talk about 'maisy' as a name was so lovely to hear!!!

I'm a twin and the shot of them holding hands made me so emotional! My brother wasn't expected to survive after birth - his cord collapsed and he was doing poorly in the NICU. The nurses decided to put me in his incubator with him, and within 3 days he was doing 100% better. Off oxygen, no IVs, literally thriving. We're still close to this day

My son was born at 34w3d and spent 25 days in the NICU - just to eat, sleep, and grow. He was 3 lbs 15 oz and luckily never needed any respiratory intervention; he just had the feeding tube until I got him to take his bottles. Then I pumped for 13 months (exclusively breastmilk fed for 6 months and breastmilk/formula for 6-13 months). None of it went how we planned but he was here and ready.

It’s an adorable book about a girl with a daisy literally growing from the top of her head and how everyone thought she was weird and tried to cut her daisy or cover it up and by the end she learns to love herself, daisy and all. I was a NICU nurse when I was pregnant. One night, when I was Charge Nurse, a woman gave birth to 5 babies. They came into the NICU on their warmers with both a first and last name! I got them all settled and then went to go see the parents. I asked about the names and they both laughed. They came up with 5 girl names and 5 boy names-this was 28 years ago, so determining the sex of 29 week little ones was difficult.At delivery, they had a blue hat and a pink hat. As the babies were born and the doctor would announce the sex, the dad would reach into the appropriate hat and pull out a name. I still remember the first names of those babies! I’m sure your nurses will remember your little ones too.

Both Flynn and Wesley are technically pirate names and I'm now just imagining Flynn and Wesley growing up and playing pirates together 🥺 🥰
