In my opinion, the show would have been better off without the use of these silly sound effects. The writers seem to lack trust in their work as evident by the sheer number of sound effects that are used throughout the runtime. Maybe try an episode without these and see what the response is like.
Great to see creators trying out new stories but maybe we can get appropriately aged actors for these characters. The guy playing the father seems to be younger than the son.
