True they weren't able to capture the Soshi effect. Some were overly cute, sexual and just plain out of sync. The thing that separates Soshi from all others is their Synchronization, Harmony and overall Talent. Also they never overkill on the concept. Yes they have cute, sexy, fierce, girl crush, badass, etc but it was all served with a hint of SOSHI.

It's really really hard to replicate Taeyeon's solo part in Genie. In fact, it is really really hard to replicate SNSD's level of finesse. None of these covers did that. But these girl's still did good in their own rights even though the only one I think was good enough was RV's cover.
All the covers are impressive and I like how they each have a different atmosphere that is unique to the covering group. But no matter what... there's some kind of magic or CASUAL perfection missing that only SNSD can bring to these sings. Makes you really appreciate them.
I've been an SNSD fan for many years and love BVNDIT and I have no idea how I didn't know BVNDIT covered SNSD until I saw this video. It made me very happy
It is good that the girls are trying to cover SNSD’s songs. As a 13 years hard core Sone, I’m proud. However, there is something that makes SNSD stands out all of ever existed girl groups, then and now, which I believe is the EFFORT. They performed with all their hearts, it is like there is no tomorrow, it is now or never. When they covered other artists’ songs, they recreated the emotions, the energy, the styles of the songs perfectly, that reminded everyone of one specious time, reasons that the songs once on top. Look up for SNSD covered U Go Girl - Lee Hyori, Tell Me - Wonder Girls, ... They sang live, brought the energy and delivered the concept perfectly. As showed on the video, all I can see here are lip-sync, pre recorded and look pretty for themselves, and powerless. They forgot the original concept, the meaning of the songs, everything else. If they want to be the next SNSD, they have to try much harder, harder as if everytime they are on stage, it’s their only chance, take it or lose it, then you can think of becoming the next SNSD, otherwise, I am not sure.

Tiffany is right on this one. She said Girls Generation is not only for members but it means for Girls around the world get inspired to be an idol entertainer lik follow your dream cliche. Specially for Into The New World. Cuz really Girls Generation shifted the tide from Boy groups who are popular in the mid 2000s era and paved the way to 3rd and 4th gen that girl groups are a force to be recon with.
It's such a completely different feel, though naturally, than SNSD. No one can match Taeyeon's vocals in Genie. They're all lacking the power she has. And the simple precision of the leg movements in Oh! are sloppy. Even though a lot of the dance covers are executed cleanly, they lack the power and sharpness of SNSD during their debut era. Also notice how almost all the Gee covers, the groups were wearing shorts and skirts except for Red Velvet, Twice, and Brave Girls. I don't like how they tried to make some of the covers sexual when SNSD could do sexy without having to try. Like the Mr. Mr. Idol School cover, the girl is just rubbing all over her body. I remember AOA's cover having that feel too, and I actually love AOA and their sexy concepts, but I think it just feels too forced or unfitting to do for a cover of SNSD. I'd say the only notable and fantastic covers are Red Velvet's Gee because they kept the same feel but still had their own vibe, Wonder Girl's cover of Kissing You, and that one girl from Produce48 who actually sang Tiffany's high note better than she did. Oh and Twice and Gfriend's cover was pretty good, Yuju seems to be the only idol able to get near the power vocal that Taeyeon has out of any 3rd Gen idol though probably Wendy too.

However, there is something that makes SNSD stands out all of ever existed girl groups, then and now, which I believe is the EFFORT. They performed with all their hearts, it is like there is no tomorrow, it is now or never. When they covered other artists’ songs, they recreated the emotions, the energy, the styles of the songs perfectly, that reminded everyone of one specious time, reasons that the songs once on top. Look up for SNSD covered U Go Girl - Lee Hyori, Tell Me - Wonder Girls, ... They sang live, brought the energy and delivered the concept perfectly.
As showed on the video, all I can see here are lip-sync, pre recorded and look pretty for themselves, and powerless. They forgot the original concept, the meaning of the songs, everything else. If they want to be the next SNSD, they have to try much harder, harder as if everytime they are on stage, it’s their only chance, take it or lose it, then you can think of becoming the next SNSD, otherwise, I am
not sure.

Tiffany is right on this one. She said Girls Generation is not only for members but it means for Girls around the world get inspired to be an idol entertainer lik follow your dream cliche. Specially for Into The New World. Cuz really Girls Generation shifted the tide from Boy groups who are popular in the mid 2000s era and paved the way to 3rd and 4th gen that girl groups are a force to be recon with.
After watching this I just miss Girls' Generation and nobody can really keep up with them
it is now every rite of passage for girl groups post-SNSD to cover any of their songs 😅
So thankful for the adding of the Wonder Girls! May they never be forgotten!!
It's such a completely different feel, though naturally, than SNSD.
No one can match Taeyeon's vocals in Genie. They're all lacking the power she has.
And the simple precision of the leg movements in Oh! are sloppy.
Even though a lot of the dance covers are executed cleanly, they lack the power and sharpness of SNSD during their debut era.
Also notice how almost all the Gee covers, the groups were wearing shorts and skirts except for Red Velvet, Twice, and Brave Girls.
I don't like how they tried to make some of the covers sexual when SNSD could do sexy without having to try. Like the Mr. Mr. Idol School cover, the girl is just rubbing all over her body. I remember AOA's cover having that feel too, and I actually love AOA and their sexy concepts, but I think it just feels too forced or unfitting to do for a cover of SNSD.
I'd say the only notable and fantastic covers are Red Velvet's Gee because they kept the same feel but still had their own vibe, Wonder Girl's cover of Kissing You, and that one girl from Produce48 who actually sang Tiffany's high note better than she did. Oh and Twice and Gfriend's cover was pretty good, Yuju seems to be the only idol able to get near the power vocal that Taeyeon has out of any 3rd Gen idol though probably Wendy too.
The main vocal from BVNDIT did a very good job as well, her adlibs is very good
