I’ll admit, I am sad that Ben Affleck won’t be Batman again. But I hope Robert Pattinson can be a good Batman.

Affleck was such a great Bruce Wayne/Batman. Really wish we could've gotten a Snyder-directed solo Bat-film about Affleck's version. Fanboys can whine all they want... because that's all their basement-dwelling asses know how to do... but it was absolutely brilliant.

After reading that article and seeing how healthier and happier Ben looks on his journey so far, I’m no longer hopeful that he’ll some day dawn the cowl again(even if it’s just a cameo). But instead I’m just optimistic and open to the possibility of it ONLY IF he is happy and wants to do it

Personally, I feel like Afflek could of been an incredible batman, but the writing choices for him were just pure garbage and wrong.
Totally agreed. Also, I feel like his recovery from alcoholism is the perfect baggage to okay Batman, so if anything, these experiences should make him an even better Batman. Granted, it's probably best that he stepped away from it long enough to recover, but I can't help but feel like he should come back to it now, lol 😅. Especially if he's the one in charge of the script and everything. I didn't have nearly as big of a problem with BvS or Justice League as most people (they had their problems--especially Justice League 🤦🏻♂️, but still), but aside from all that, he was spot on 👌🏻! Him and the BvS suit! They screwed it up a bit in Justice League, though 🙄.
the one thing that I regret the most in this universe is that we do not get a Ben Afflek Batman standalone movie! :( He is by far the best Batman yet on screen...he was my first choice even before they casted him, he just got the body the hight the face and the chin beside in real life the multiple persona character... being an actor, director, writer and troubled in rl... H looks 1to 1 like the Bruce Wayne of the Batman comics I red growing up in the 70s...

@@pilsatortube I think If Ben can get himself straight in the next couple of years, then why not consult on the next Battinson flick? This would appease most, and I dont blame a 50yr old Ben for wanting to guard his health. He has to stay healthy to take care of his family.

I loved Ben Affleck as Batman. He was the best batman in my opinion but it seemed like he wasnt really into it and seemed like it took a toll on him
Could you blame him with how DC treated those movies? Those movies where trash in my opinion. Bad dialogue, bad story, even visually they where a mess. Zack Snyder used to be a decent director until he came wth suckerpunch, he went downhill fast after that. Ben Affleck deserved far more. Ben exudes Batman.
thanks for that i had an idea it was the drink, i watched my brother go through it till he finally kicked it and you can see the struggle.....ben affleck was the best batman for me the heft and quality he added was outstanding. my next fav is micheal keeton a very different style altogether but those two are my favourites... del in the uk

Ben Afflecks Batman was the version that seriously just beat down criminals. Every movie claims he strikes fear into criminals but watching Affleck in the warehouse was like "hes a monster", the most badass batman I seen. I wanted to see that more. But I am excited to see the new batman. Let see what cool new figures come out and what you do to customize them.

I would love to see the white eyes, but the blue has never made sense to me as anything other than crappy old school coloring (even then 🙄). Blue has nothing to do with bats or darkness. Have you ever seen a blue ninja? No, because you can't blend into the shadows in blue, lol 😅.

@@ushjaba1067 lol, it wouldn't be all black; his bodysuit is gray 😆. And why does he need to have color, anyway? He's a creature of the night. He's everything dark and broody. Color suggests he's bright and happy and fun-loving. Which he is not, lol 😅. I don't mind him loosening up a bit when he's at home with his family as Bruce (or maybe in the Watchtower with fellow heroes), but Batman on the streets should be as dark and scary as possible.
@@SpiderboyN2Jesus A Dark Matte blue would work. 1 of the motorcycles in my gameroom has black saphire paint, and in bright light it has color. This or an ultra dark matte variation of the old color scheme would work. Im hoping for batman the animated series color layout as the final costume, but I wouldnt mind a 60s color scheme, if done right. I like to think Alfred tells Bruce "his suit might scare baddies, but (all black) doesnt seem like -the good guy". Bruce then colors it dark grey and black. Alfred bachs and says: "color Bruce" So bruce paints the emblem...yellow: "like a happy face" Bruce emphasizes.
The color is less important than the believability of the suits.....I think.
I'm more excited about how the fight scenes will go, like take for example the bvs warehouse scene BUT applying the no kill rule like the batman vs swat scene in the trilogy. I just hope they do this right this time.

There are lots of good pics of the suit taken from a motorbike scene in the Glasgow necropolis. Its not Patttison in the suit but a stuntman, but still see the suit in it totallity.

So IGN basically made this same video, talked about R-Bat and about Ben. Heres where they got it wrong and you got it right. They just splurged for two minutes with upbeat music and smiles about Affleck's drinking and depression then jumped into The Batman news. Felt like they didn't care at all. Chris, I gotta say how much respect I've got for you for doing your video this way, we can actually see that you give a damn about Affleck as a person and not just some guy who's not playing a superhero anymore. Lone your stuff!
From the looks of the shoulder pad, it looks like it could be for a stunt suit? Since the pad looks softer and the one I’m the test footage looks rigid. I don’t know, maybe.

@@Log-On-Line there are example of Batman killing people in the comics. It very rare and is usually excused somehow, but it has happened. Also, every movie version in Batman has killed someone (not including Batman & Robin, somehow 😳). In '89 he kills Joker by tying to a gargoyle and just staring at him for two or three minutes after the gargoyle breaks off the building and pulls him off the ladder--plus there was that factory full if Joker's goons that he blew up. In Returns he puts bomb in a big guys belt. In Forever he tricks Two-Face into falling to his death and lobotomizes Riddler. In Begins he "doesn't save" Ra's Al Ghul (both of them, lol--as well as a lit of the ninjas in the dojo he blew up). In The Dark Knight, he shoves Two-Face off a ledge and doesn't even check his pulse. I suppose Catwoman technically kills Bane in Rises, so two films where he doesn't kill anyone.
In BvS he's certainly careless (and was in the comics after Jason Todd was killed by the Joker--albeit with his own health rather than the health of others, but still; he has the suit of a dead Robin on display in his cave, so he's obviously still dealing with that), but there's no evidence that any of those people are actually dead. Those were all things that people can survive. It's unclear how many people survived their encounters with Batman in that movie (unlike the previous films).
As for branding people, it's ok for him to break most of the bones in people's bodies, but it's not ok to brand them? Lol, ok 🤣.

@David Hall Basically yes. An actor can only be as good as the script or the person that directs him or her. On paper Affleck was the right man.
When Ben Affleck was cast as Batman, I absolutely hated it. When they revealed the suit in that black and white shot, it shut me right up. When they showed the warehouse scene, I was bouncing with excitement.
Robert's casting had me praying it was fake. This outfit and casting just leaves me wanting more Batfleck. I hope they have a better suit lined up at least.

I really REALLY hope that it’s true and that disjointed suit get destroyed early on and he gets a decent suit. Hopefully a cowl that looks a bit less squashed face.

Don't think an upgrade can save that shitty batsuit. It's truly sad how much shit Ben has gone through and it's heartbreaking as a fan to lose him. Ben is the one true batman, without him there is no batman.
The Bat suit you see is not the Bat suit, it is meant to be destroyed. It's a prototype and is not meant to be the final suit. You should exhaust all avenues before being so quick to form a final opinion on things. Wait for the movie

The suit is an experimental prototype as part of the story that will be destroyed and a new one that you haven't seen being built. I think because you don't know what's going on, you judge everything based on your uninformed opinion. You need to approach this with a level of maturity which you are clearly not doing.

Thus new batman is reminding me to much of the Netflix Daredevil series, the bat suit reveal was very reminiscent of the DD intro and how the suit he wears is thrown together akin to DD series.

The ONLY reason I would ever watch Justice League again is simply to see Ben as Batman again. I grew up in the late 90s/early 2000s so I throughly enjoyed his outing as Daredevil even thought it’s pretty dated. I know it’ll never happen but I’d love for him to take up the mantle on more time

Actors live in a bubble. You think they run to see what the critics are saying about them? Hell no. They are a very insecure bunch that need constant reassuring and praise... just like the rest of the us. No one wants to go through life with people hating us and what we do... it's depressing. You can literally watch the interview where he learned that critics and fans were disappointed with BvS. He's a great director and doesn't need to be dragged down by a franchise that needs him far more than he needs it. Sure I'm disappointed that we didn't get to see his Batman movie but in this industry he had far more to lose than to gain. It was a smart decision on his part and I respect him for stepping down. I also thought he was an awesome Bruce Wayne/Batman. Very Miller inspired which was excellent.

I really liked Ben as batman, he was big and scary and a total badass, sad what happened with his personal life and why he left but its better for him leaving than losing himself cause of a role, he was great, I really want to see how Pattison will do now, he looks cool too, just hope he doesn't do the Bale voice, I like Bale but that voice became annoying fast.

Affleck could have been a GREAT Batman. Hell, he could have been a good Daredevil. Script, directing and editing ruined both of those film runs. I feel bad for the design team and the cast. Justice League should have been awesome

Ben was my faivorite Batman by far! Too bad we dont get a standalone with him... Wish they had done two superman and two Batman standalones with Henry and Ben before they moved over to Batman vs superman and some standalones of WW and Green Arrow and Flash and Aquaman before they put them all together on the bigscreen in a justice leage moovie! Biggest stupidity ever to rush everything so bad while Marvel took their time too build it up brilliantly... thanks to the stupid executives - you know who you are!

Following Zack Snyder's post of the Knightmare Batman pic, it's become more apparent that the new batsuit for Pattinson HAS to be a transitional one. It looks terrible compared to every other suit so far. Doing a 180 and presenting something more reminiscent of the comic book suits would be a real treat, hope the rumors are true!
Bale's is still the best. Not a fan of grey colour scheme.

That Iconic look was also an adaption of The Batman year 1 look and many other comic book looks, that costume looked straight out of a comic book and now we're getting this Arkem Asylum Ironman armored Batsuit look...
