I miss the cafe i go to almost every morning. That was my means of escape. Life at home isn't always pleasing for everyone, and that's where I felt peace. With jazz music, the sound of people talking, baristas shouting their names, as I do my work with a good coffee in hand. 😔❤

My favourite days were the ones where I would meet up with my friends at the local cafe at 4pm on a sunda. A gloomy sunday. You wouldn't call it a day for enjojement, really. But those moments when it was slowly raining and the warm breeze would bring all kinds of summer scents and me spending time with my pals, drinking warm and creemy coffee, those were my favourite days. I long those days.
Hope I get to experience them soon again.

Samuel's coffee shop was getting more and more costumers. He was happy of what he created: a cozy and warm place where people could chat and have a good time.
But in this cold temperature, people were rapidly going home, and no one stopped at his coffee shop. Samuel sat down on one of his comfortable chair to listen to the rain falling down. The music playing on the speakers was making him feel happier than ever. He finally achieved his dreams: he opened a restaurant in this big city he lived in.
Two coffee cups, still really hot, were cooling down on the table at the center.
Samuel looked at his watch, all happy. Samuel was waiting for someone. Someone special.
And he never thought they would finally meet during such a rainy evening.
(Okay now it's your turn! What happens next? Who is that person he finally meets to take a coffee with? Does the person even come? It is for you to decide!)
His long life crush from his younger years!!!
The door jangled open and Samuel's heart leapt.
Julia was wearing a loose red blouse, dotted with raindrops, tucked into black jeans. She locked eyes with Samuel in greeting as she tugged her long wet hair out of a low ponytail. Warmth spilled inside Samuel's chest like warm coffee. Julia. After all these years.
She seemed to float across the room and sat in the chair opposite him and crossed her legs and tucked her hair behind her ear all in one graceful, liquid movement. The corners of her lips softly turned up into a playful half-smile, amused at Samuel's silence.
"It's been a while." Her voice sounded like a gentle hum, the words delicate and distinct, plucked out of a comfortable silence.
Samuel let out an alarmingly abrupt chuckle. "It has."
"How are you, Sam?"
Samuel was worried he was staring at her for too long, so he focused on the soft dimple of her cheek, then her left collarbone, as if he would be swallowed into the curious light in her eyes, as if he had to avert his eyes from a star. He gestured awkwardly to his shop. "Really great!" A pause; he tried not to panic. "And you?"
She thought, letting the silence impregnate the room. Opened her mouth in a perfect pink O, paused, and whispered, "Good. Really good. This is - this is always what you dreamed of." She laughed lightly. "You finally did it, didn't you?"
"I guess I have." Samuel sprawled out slightly in his chair, more confident with her words. Drank this in. Julia, here, after all these years. Julia.
They reclined in a newly comfortable silence, as if they had signed a wordless agreement to simply gaze silently at each other in awe for a moment or two, letting the breathless magic of the quiet blanket the space like a first snowfall. Samuel focused on the dimple again, then found the bravery to watch her expression. A gentle warmth radiated from her delicate features. Then, amusement, a playful glint in her eyes. Then, half a second later, confusion. Her eyebrows knit. Worry. A frown? Why was she frowning?
"Sam?"
He leaned forward and answered too quickly. "Yes, Julia?" His heart raced. She was here. What did she want to know, after all these years? Anything - he would tell her anything. He'd been waiting to tell her everything. Whatever she had to ask, he had an answer ready - too ready.
"Sam, who's the man behind you?"
Thunder clapped, and suddenly, the cafe went dark.

Desperately crawling from the table he realized she was perfectly sound. She had jumped and perched behind the counter after the shot went off. She was going to be ok. She was going to be fine.
His exhaled breath of relief was short lived, as the figure in the shadows leapt forward and pinned Samuels hand to the oak floor. Pain electrified his mind and soul. He desperately jerked about, writhing like a helpless snake, the metal sole of the boot scratching his skin with tremendous brutality.
“Sam!”, Julia’s concerned voice called out, “Let him go! Leave him you idiot! Help! Someone! ”
It was like talking to the void - at this hour there was not a single person in the cafe, nor on the sidewalk. They were truly helpless.
“Samuel my old colleague... !”, sounded a crisp, sharp voice from above his ears, “We had unfinished business, no ?”

There was a time during the pandemic when indoor seating wasn't allowed at coffee shops near me. It's incredible to think how much comfort videos like this one can provide when our options become limited. Working from home with Cozy Rain playing in the background has made the isolation of the pandemic more bearable. Even though Starbucks and Saxbys have opened up again, there are still some days where I prefer staying home, listening to these videos while working.

I remember one time I we pulled an all nighter in San Francisco and it was a rainy day just like this in the morning we went to a peets for coffee the smell the music the rain I was a perfect scene that I will never be able to recreate but I remember what I was feeling that day it wasn’t that great but the mood from the coffee shop changed everything for me that day I often think of going back and trying to recreate that day but some things are meant to happen once in a lifetime I’m koo with that

You know, this was the video that determined my dream job. The aesthetic, the atmosphere, the calm, it all told me “Hey. You need to run a cafe when you’re older, no matter how long it takes you.” And I have held onto that dream for 3 years. I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. I have a layout planned, I have places on where stuff would go, how much it would cost, everything. And I’m only 14 now. I was 11 when this job came to me. I will gladly run a beautiful cafe in order to live my best life, no matter how little I get paid or how badly a customer treats me.
Make sure you never let go of that dream. I wish I had a dream similar to yours, otherwise I wouldn't be stuck doing a degree I don't like just so I can have the option to do something decent.

We really don't need that kind of reminder nor detail. Masks separate people from one another. If society wants coffee shops and unity again, they have to open their eyes and realize what's really going on around them, scratch beneath the surface. This music is indeed beautiful and very calming which is what matters, as I listen to it often. However be aware that subliminal messaging is all around, notice the coffee shop has no one in it, and there are mask wearers outside. This is what's passing the new normal, a coffee shop on the internet? Not trying to trip on people, but if this is a true escape, why are they pushing this into our sacred space?

When I see this pic, I feel like when you see the coffee shop from outside, it's an old building, abandoned but when you get the courage to go inside, it's a small coffee shop, jazz playing in the background as people, ghosts from the 80's, talk about their day while sipping their coffee, not paying attention to you as you sit near the entry, watching the rain pour outside and watching strangers walk by, not knowing that there's a coffee shop hidden behind the walls of that old building.

This is my favourite thing, being locked in coffee shop with my friend on rainy night, talking and watching outside.

I remember back before COVID. one little bean could bring us all together (with some sugar or milk added of course!) I always enjoy video games more when I have a cup of coffee with me while voice chatting with friends too. I never really had and IRL friends growing up, But I'm hoping to meet some people someday and visit a coffee shop with them. But I suppose VC and Discord will do for now. Not that I'm complaining! Just started listening to this. I love all the details and sound effects. The Jazz is my favorite. Thank you for this piece of work. This is really relaxing to listen to.

Idk why but I just want to tell this story! When I started middle school my parents and I moved into a little town in Texas. The kinda nice small towns you see in movies. Everyone knew each other which could be good or bad lol. Everything you needed in the town was on a very short main road. You could tell it was an old town but kept very beautiful. Had a nice aesthetic to it. As soon as as we got comfortable with living there. We started going to town more I fell in love with the town more and more. Everyone was so nice and would say Hi. People would stop talk to other people in the town. Help other people. A lot of the businesses were owned by family of friends that I made that have been living in the town for a long time. Anyway in the town there was little coffee shop. And it was like the hang out spot for young adults. Mostly around night time. The shop would close at 11 at night everyday besides Friday. All the business would close early so people could watch the High School Football game. But the way the coffee shop was just made me feel something. Cant quite explain it. The mood, the vibe, and the way everybody was sitting with there group having a good time. That day I told myself that I couldn't wait to be a senior and hang out with my friends in here and just chill. Unfortunately the town ended up becoming one of the fastest growing towns and it ended up becoming a city before I got the chance to do what I wanted and the coffee shop ended up closing down. The little town i fell in love with is no longer there and I don't recognize it anymore. For me it lost its appeal. Till this day my friends and I talk about how cool and little our town was back then. Wish I could live in a town like that again.
