The Saloon and Estate models of the new C-Class are starting to leave the production line at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen. The bestselling Mercedes-Benz model series over the past decade will start production in Bremen, the lead plant in the global C-Class production network. This will shortly be followed by start-ups at international locations in Beijing, China and East London, South Africa.
Hybrid models will follow in quick succession - as part of the "Electric first" strategy equipped with battery systems supplied from the Mercedes-Benz battery plant in Jawor, Poland.
Local production in China for the Chinese market is a decisive success factor for Mercedes-Benz. China has been the largest sales market for the C-Class Saloon since 2016. The plant in Beijing produces the long-wheelbase version of the C-Class for the Chinese market.
In East London, right and left-hand drive Saloon models are built for worldwide export.
Production follows the latest production methods and processes including a new body shop system, improved flexibility, efficiency and sustainability. Thanks to innovative technologies, the paintshop at the plant in East London reduces energy consumption per vehicle by 25 percent.

I've had two Mercedes... Granted both were built before 2000. Both are built like tanks. Beautiful in finish and solid reliablability... though I like the modern C class there is something missing.....? Anyway nice to see the modern C class getting built. Thanks for the vid.

Power of Engineering is mind blowing😍
My 9 year old C350 is still solid and tight as a drum in terms of build quality and how the materials held up. Hopefully these keep that going.
Cheap builds now my mates got a A class 2021 a35 amg got nice leather and seats in terms of quality but same can’t be said about the amount of tacky plastic that’s not even thick. Exterior design is nice but doesn’t look as solidly built as the old mercs

Работал на пежо, люди контролируют качество почти после каждого процесса, который делал робот. Тактильно легче ощутить шероховатости на пластике, или при покраске или полировке

Загибается давно мерседес, через 10 лет его уже не будет, по крайней мере в Германии. Перенесут скоро все производство в Китай, а там китайцам и продадут через лет 5. Качество автомобилей отвратное, IT и электроника давно отстала от конкурентов. Сам завод турецкий, 80% работников турки и подтягивают на работу только членов своих семей.

Being an owner of 2 New ordered Benz, I have to say this. The quality of my W204 was superior than my American built W205. My W204 was build in Germany with pride and you can tell it whereas my W205 was just put together because of the buck and no pride = Pegged with problem after problem taking years under warranty to sort out with the help of Mercedes Germany. It is no wonder, Mercedes Germany now gives American dealerships a direct contact to help solve problem with their cars.
Germany is outstanding and awesome.

Помню "Ягуар XF" с корешом юзали, оказывается Китай с потрохами компанию выкупил со всеми лицензиями и патентами 😎 Так что за Китаем будущее!

Golden era of quality cars anded around 2000. Today reliability was replaced by electronic features, which are cheaper than hardware.
Seem like more engineering efforts are directed towards planned obsolescence than towards relability.
Calculated cost of fixing 5% cars under warranty is lower then cost of upgrading design/material.
It is Ford Pinto case all over the place.
Add to it people who love buying "premium" to distinguish themselves, and company can sell you anything as long as one sees it as premium (even if premium car is re-brsnded Nissam Navarra, or has "premium" engine from Dacia manufacturer.

Tesla car are marketed like they are luxury car but from the one I have seen in stores, it's far from being that case. The plastic inside is cheap, just like a citroen, Renault would be, which is fine for those 2 because they have selling price fitting the quality tesla are expensive in comparison of the quality they offer. Even external part alignment is horrible, I've seen doors with 2 to 5 mm displacement on the alignment... For that price all the part of my Mercedes are impeccably aligned...

It was sort of Apple - neither too quality, nor really premium but you get into Tesla eco-system.
Lack of quality was acceptable while there was no competition of other decent-performance cars. Now, when other brands are catching-up, Tesla will have to do something - drop the price, or upgrade quality/performance.
We can see this happening - new Model S with improved batteries ....
What drives me crazy is German manufacturers selling "premium" with standard equipment onboard worse than non-premium cars, and putting even things like electric operated rear windows as paid option.
Really - premium Audi with man-o-matic?
Quality and reliability has been gone years ago - last best-or- nothing MB must have been R129, maybe W140.
Today you get Dacia Duster engines in some MB models.
