βHello, nighthawks, its good to see you.β
Morning for me but hello
Fire up the rumaki-matic.
"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face- forever."
You could say I was βMeantβ to listen to meant. Now that is majestic jazz!
The opening two tracks are devastating. Truly, if God had a music collection...
Damn that sax solo put that one guy to shame like Boom. Love this channel so much and the music it gives out as well.
Writing a detective-ish story for one of my classes in university, and this is an absolutely perfect soundtrack! Makes the words come so much easier.
Which class is it? Also, which grade are ye in college?
Perfect rain music
I can do everything to this music.
Right now at the gym 05 in the morning, and i guarantee that om in a different realm than the others.
That said...back to focus.
Was just listening to Mount Shrine's last mix and was thinking I hope a new rainy day mix drops today. This is awesome! And the art is perfect!!
rest in peace
@@morgan9904 that is sad. Rest in peace
This sci-fi noir vibe is my jam right now. Love it
the atmosphere reminded one of Andrei Tarkovsky's films πΏ
Cryo I have an entire playlist to help me sleep with a majority of it filled with your content. Ive always enjoyed it and have always wished to make the things you do.
God bless from Texas, man
Now that spiderman is on PC, we have a plethora of mods to try. My favorite combo right now is Noir spiderman with Noir reshade and this Noir jazz
I love basically everything this channel puts out but this is on another level! Fucking phenomenal playlist, and kinda drunk and was zoned out and taken on a complete musical journey. Will definitely be one to revisit when writing poetry, "Underwater Sleep Orchestra" parts 1 and 2 basically got me through my Masters dissertation on Gothic fiction and Lovecraft.
I'm actually rather interested; what in particular were your focal points regarding gothic fiction?
Jesus.
@@stephenwood6555 I was discussing the role which mental health and changing attitudes and knowledge of it played in fiction of that era and genre. I had a chapter on Poe, one on "The yellow wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman and Jane Eyre (specifically the parts dealing with Bertha Mason, and although not strictly a gothic novel there are certainly heavy influences) and finally chapter discussing Lovecraft.
@@stevesmith5883 That sounds interesting. Can I read it?
@@stevesmith5883 Nice. Which Uni?
It's so inspiring that such music can be explored everyday. What a great time to live in. Thanks for Your mixes Cryo, helps a lot. :)
Oh man, this video is just what I needed for my story. The rain couples so nicely with the dark and dreary music that extends throughout this video, and it's really great for imagining scenes that I've written as well as generating new ideas! Great work on this!
I've said it before, you put out the best dark jazz I have ever come across.
Thank you!
Weighed upon us needs to be on his spotify.
All the tracks are in the video description (and those are up on spotify). Will look into recreating the playlists on spotify one of these days too
Wow, I took a break from some of the dark ambient stuff. Popped back into this channel for the first time in a few months and this is what was uploaded TODAY. Awesome mix. Thanks.
Soβ¦ veryβ¦. Fitting.
Iβm finished with a string of dark shows and anime,
including Cowboy Bebop. It really does end with a grinding sigh.
Some stories just canβt end on a good note. Itβs life.
But this shady jazz makes it better.
Always good when Cryo Chamber releases a new mix. I particularly like these jazz noir mixes.
I really needed this type of mix thx.
Δ° never thought i'd see jazz and ambient in the same sentence but apparently it exists and so far cro chamber's jazz and noir albums are my favorites. Δ°f you have anyof the fallout games try playlisting all jazz and/or noir albums of cryo and go to city areas and just explore its amazing. Especially with silver shroud costume or any clothing thats 30's 40's or 50's.
Try Dale Cooper & the Dictaphones or any Bohren and der Club of Gore :)
After the first Wordclock mix I went on a hunt for similar stuff straight away. Stetsons doing some good soundtracks but Wordclock definitely nails that vibe. Incredible stuff from an incredible label.
@@Nyctarath Astrild Astrild is my favourite.krplus.net/bidio/ls-imnhnZZ6Vf4o
SIN CITY
Have you ever looked up Doom Jazz?
Listening to this while reading Spider-Man Noir. Praying a movie for him gets made at some point
Love this channel I never thought of a mix like this before it's great.
This makes me want to play The Sinking City, again. Great feel Wordclock.
Wow. I love all the work you do on this channel, seriously :) That second track especially gives me strong Disco Elysium vibes. So grateful to hear so many talented artists in one mix!
Disco Elysium is so great!
Holy shit this first track is film quality production
Playing X4 to this is absolutely surreal
Which one?
@@cryochamberlabel the entire playlist. It all fits the game perfectly.
@@HughMansonMD I meant which x4 :D
AoW?
@cryochamberlabel oh, you had me confused for a second there. I didn't mean a 4x game, I meant literally X4: Foundations the game, which is a space sim, but now that I think about it, it is totally a 4x game too.
@@HughMansonMD My bad, I'll check it out!
once again an incredible mix! π₯
One of my all time favorite instruments is the saxophone, so this mix is just sublime, especially since it's a Cryo Chamber mix. That first song is *chef's kiss*
I absolutely love getting paperwork done to this mix π₯βπ»π₯
Thanks π€π€
This is incredible. Thank you.
Damn dude. I'm reading Remarque and that's as close to a soundtrack that I needed for the experience to be complete!
Bless you.
This is superb. Absolutely superb!
just what i needed tonight, thanks Cryo.
NIce!! Very original sounds. Jazzy but still ethereal.
It seemed like any other Tuesday to me; dark, stormy, the dim lights of the city glowing in the fog from the rain. I came to like nights like that, otherworldly yet familiar with a sense of calm. It was those kinds of nights where you could be alone with only your thoughts to keep you company. The rain pattered quietly against the window of my office, thunder in the distance. The small lamp illuminating the desk on which it sat, a haze in the room's air, and I, lounging back in the chair, hat lowered as I rested my eyes, listening to the quiet stillness. That certain kind of stillness where you don't know if you're feeling what you're feeling or hearing what you're hearing, or if you're even alone.
A knock on my door. Unexpected, but not out of the ordinary. Jarred out of the stillness, I rose from my chair and bid the source of the knock a moment. I lifted my hat from my brow to it's usual respective position, and that's when I saw the source of the knock. Through the glass of my door, the dim hallway behind a dark figure; tall, dressed, sharp hat as like mine. Many gentlemen come for my help, why should this be any different? As I approached the door to allow the guest entry, I could see the figure pull a pipe from its large coat but the figure's face was still darkened. Here, I opened the door for the guest as a lighted match was produced, illuminating everything in the vicinity, including the face of the guest. Male, pale complexion, clean, aged slightly, and wet, from the weather, wondered I. I bade the guest entrance, to which he slowly entered. Water slowly dripping from the guest's coat and hat, quite a rain storm. I offered the guest a seat in front of the dimly lit desk, to which he silently seated himself. To my chair behind the desk I went, business to be done, as always.
The guest sat upright as a board, straight and unmoving, calmly smoking his pipe as the smoke wafted into the air. I bid the guest to tell me his name, to which he responded quietly. For a time, the guest and I spoke, the guest's voice becoming more clear. Wanting my services, did he, many do, as a detective am I, a solver of things unsolved. The guest inquired if I would help to solve a disappearance that occurred some time ago. A strange case, it was; ruled as drowning, but no sign of the victim, only his clothes found near the shore. A bolt of lighting flashed, illuminating the entire office. Briefly, the guest's coat saw I, it was still dripping wet. Some time we had been talking, dry it would've been. I inquired about the guest's still wet clothes, to which he responded in a voice that defies description; as if sound itself was played through an old record player under a deep ocean. The guest rose slowly from his seat and began to remove his hat. Another flash of lighting, the guest's face now fully illuminated. Sunken in, eyes blackened, skin as dark and blue as the ocean itself; the drowned man!
Awoken. In my office. Alone. A dream. Voices and a record player down the hall. Yes, these kinds of nights one can be alone with only your thoughts to keep you company in the stillness. That certain kind of stillness where you don't know if you're feeling what you're feeling, hearing what you're hearing, or if you really are alone.
This is exactly what I needed. Subbed!
love this stuff
The first track and I'm completely speechless, what a magical mix! Thank you!
This makes me feel like I'm in a James Ellroy novel...
Brilliant! Dark but vibrant. Like it.
i just discovered this style from rusty lake games especially cube escape paradox
Thank you for this. I needed that.
This is f****n' gorgeous! Wish I'd discovered it sooner :D

Yes yes π₯
The night was a sultry one, streets wet from the rain. I sat there, thinking about the case that landed on my desk, cigarette in one hand, a glass of bourbon in the other.
She sat across from me, her gaze piercing. (Continue in replies below)

Damn... another case and another murder.... Every week is the same, someone dies, I stop the culprit. Then the next day I learn that it was all for naught. Every day another death, what has my work actually done for this city? Thirty years Iβve been this cityβs top detective, but in all those years it feels like Iβve done... nothing.
That paper folder sitting on my desk, in my smoke filled office I know has another dayβs work locked within. Another life, another death reduced to a case number and a few pieces of paper for me to sift through.
Well... itβs only morning. Maybe I should take a few moments to-
Well thatβs none of your business, sorry fellow I didnβt mean to blabber on. You, have a nice day.
Oh and donβt worry about that case, keep it between us but I wonβt let that killer get away. I never do. So long. ;)
