I think itβ€˜s also because he never says someone isnβ€˜t good looking. Heβ€˜s focusing completely on β€žmarketabilityβ€œ which makes it a lot less personal to the people hearing they wouldnβ€˜t find work in the industry. And as he says, his personal opinion is very different from his job, and he refrains from sharing personal opinions. Well, connotatively we take "attractiveness" as just appearance, but being attractive is quite literally 'do you attract people' which makes it pretty much synonymous with "marketability" in this context, 'do you attract people, but in a business way'

@@manuelp7472 you're correct. It's the unfortunate truth of the modeling industry as it stands. Are people beautiful in their own way? Sure. Do we, as individuals, find certain people more or less attractive, sometimes outside the expectations? Yes, of course. He is unafraid to tell the truth and his thoughts directly but says it with such grace and frames it in a way that everyone can walk out with at least one thing to be confident about themselves in and IF they wanted to get into the fashion industry, at least one thing to work on as well.
