Honestly that is such a weird decision on your parents part. They could have just given you the same middle name, it would have had the same effect without all the confusion...
Or similar names. I have three nieces which where named Emily, Elena, and Elisa (in spanish the pronunciation is very similar) and I call them the wrong names a lot of times. I just resort to call them the first, the second, and the third (they are not triplets) I can't imagine them having the same name lol
I don’t think it have the same effect as a middle name. It’s usually the least important of the 3 names, some people don’t even have a middle name, because it’s just not required.
Might as well have given them the same last name too

I have 3 younger sisters and we all have the same initials. The pattern was partially copied after my dad and his siblings' naming pattern in which they have two first names with the second name exclusively starting with J. Eventually each of my aunts/uncles named my cousins with their own set of initials but different names respectively. I can relate to the Filipino nicknaming system because the nickname doesn't really correlate with the actual name... name your kid Anica and people in the house call her Chai.
