I've got chills right now. Once went to see Dave "Switch" Taylor DJ in Edinburgh, I guess it was about 15 years ago and he ended his set with this. We all went crazy, such a great memory
I saw Daft Punk three times back in '07 when they were touring. Best three shows of my life.

It's 5AM, the sun's going to rise soon and it's violently storming outside, but you only know because lightning is flashing in through your windows, the music is too loud to hear. You stand up to stretch, headphones still plugged in to your laptop. Finally a thunderbolt crashes with just enough volume to overcome the music just as your hands reach toward the ceiling. The room flashes violet, and the lights flicker. Just then the bass drops. You feel revitalized (Alive!) as if the energy of the music and the universe itself has just recharged you. Time to finish this assignment.
And it was done in a flash.

Man it's sad to hear the news of Daft Punk's split, so I'm gonna go on a Daft Punk discography run to celebrate one of the greatest discographies out there man. I wish them well for their creative endeavours in the future. I know Thomas is big into film stuff now, and Guy will probably do some artist collaborations down the line, it'll be interesting what the future holds for them

The official Daft Punk Albums are Homework, (Alive 1997 counts as a live record), Musique (it doesn't count since it's mostly a collection of remixes) Discovery, Human After All and Random access Memories. Tron Legacy are soundtracks, if you count that as a Daft Punk album you should count all the single collaboration that Thomas Bangalter did in his life for other cinema related projects, but they are not counted as official DF releases. The only 2 singles Daft Punk ever played live are Stardust 'Music Sounds Better With You' and 'Together' with DJ Falcon. Both of them are collaboration singles. Not albums. And I'm writing this just sourcing everything from personal knowledge since I own the most of their material on tapes, Vinyls, CDs and digital releases. No Wiki needed.

Both the og fans reminiscing and the newer fans who want to hear what Daft Punk's full sound was are coming together after this announcement.

"...fuck yeah" they reply, squirming back into a comfortable position to fall back to sleep. you drive on into the night, feeling nothing but the road and the music and the void outside your car. there is nothing more theraputic in the world.

This is one of my favorite songs and my favorite daft punk song.
I remember listening to this whole album from start to finish for the first time while doing my visa run from Malaysia back to Thailand on a night bus. It had neon blue lights inside and the music just fit the vibe so well. Will stay with me forever.

I've been a techno fan for years and have attended several techno music festivals with thousands of people... And this is still the hardest track I've ever seen to this day
This track underscores what made Daft Punk so special-they could have made songs that sound only like this and we would have been accepting and joyfully welcomed their creations into the world… but they didn’t stop here. They continued to sonically push the boundaries of the genre and by doing so transcended what was previously thought possible. My hat is forever off to this track and to Daft Punk.

I bought the album 2 days ago on iTunes.
It's 120₹ roughly 1.4 dollars.
For a family function I had to sift through hundreds of photos through dozens of folders across 3 laptops.
The entire playthrough of Homework really made it enjoyable.
I have listened to a handful of songs by Daft Punk for years, but not religiously. Recently, I had a good listen through their albums and finding this absolute GEM and also "Television Rules the Nation"... Just gobsmacked at these masterpieces ❤

This makes me think of a wartime jet taking off (picture a b17), and in the beginning the crew is readying themselves, and at around 1:14 the plane shoots off and a view from the wing is seen, and the plane flies through the sky as the clouds turn grey the farther it goes. (The camera is set as if it is on the wing looking straight against the tail of the plane) yellow bullet sprays are viewed farther in, and the camera switches to above the cockpit, viewing the wings, nose cone and underslung guns. After some fighting, the plane is shot down and falls toward the ground, nose pointed at the ground, and the song slowly ends.
I miss them.

Street party on the millennium was electric, good times with daft punk alive followed by The Bells by Jeff Mills for the bells. 1 of those moments in life so epic, it’s unforgettable.
