Going from Touch to this or vice versa is such a weird transition, but I love it. 😆

Homework is by far their best album 💪

I don't think said person will find it strange after hearing the end of "Contact"
Rollin' & Scratchin' evil brother.
Ik bro, I always though rollin & scratchin and this sound the same bro
this is far worse than rollin’ & scratchin
rollin & scratchin, rock & roll and burnin are brothers. change mi mind
Rollin' & Scratchin' is just Burnin' cousin
@@saturnz7029 yeah. but they’re a bit distant cousins.
"Here. Take this."
"What's in here?"

Sounds like 5:30
Just a few grams of coke.
"Zippers"
What's In here? Every phone in the US and Malaysia at the end of the world with full volume with their EAS alarm on.
I divide music in 2 groups:
-Neutral songs: you can show them to anyone and he/she will probably like them
-Specific songs: you need to like the type of music to like these songs.
hence the usage of the word "probably"
Simone Frongia all star by smash mouth and never gonna give you up
@@hharlington7156 nah i know a few people who dislike both songs
Mao Tse-Tung they are wrong then
This track was number One in Europe the year it was released
You can't just listen to this. You have to imagine yourself in some massively packed club with people dancing around like in the Matrix Zion dance scene. But with pulsing and throbbing strobe lights and colors blasting all around. You're welcome
Frankincensed awesome!
20 years ago i was kn french or belgian club and make big party with those sounds . It was great !
I listen to it just fine o_o
I was always imagine something similar to this When I listen to this song
"You can't just listen to this. You have to imagine yourself in some massively packed club with people dancing around like in the Matrix Zion dance scene. But with pulsing and throbbing strobe lights and colors blasting all around. "
..... and there you are... in the club... surrounded by sweating dancing people and flashing lights..... playing with your zipper for seven and a half minutes.

Yes?
Ahh, the 3 siblings in the Homework family. Burnin, Rollin and Scratchin, and Rock'n Roll
@Linda Helt Actually no, they don't. The Rollin' and Scratchin' lead is a Juno-106 + a Boss MT-2. Don't know about Burnin' or Rock'n Roll though but neither sound like a MS-20 to me.
But they all use printers.
burnin has nothing to do with those two songs
@@Pablo-zk6ug l o u d
Please god don't lump burnin in with those two...
It's weird how Daft Punk can make music that's basically nothing but still sounds great
I'm sure that developing these synths in 1997 was more than something
I know, I mean, in reality, their music should be terrible, but they have this charm, that makes it sound so good!
Try making a house song, or any electronic dance type song. The real hard part is finding the sample beats etc to go together, to find harmony. Then there’s programming in synth sounds, it’s not easy at all. It’s a grind, takes a ton of patience and just twisting knobs, pressing notes, trying to make that epic synth sound to go with your beats. You delete 90%+ of the synth stuff you create. Then you can even go with synths that you play very complex piano pieces on.... but that’s another story, not to do with this song.
The simplicity, the charms of predictability. Dance music is beautiful.
Cuz that's daft punk boi
@@Mr__Joe did you just say Daft Punk's music is supposed to be terrible?
the French are so ahead of the music game that they invented ear rape memes in the 90's. Legends
I know that i'm ahead of my time
Thanks for reminding me
Speaking of memes, when was the FIRST EVER MEME created?
Merci

This track is the perfect representation of that toothache I had years ago. Pain comes slowly but steadily, and becomes more and more intense until it drove me crazy.
Why are you so deep about a toothache

They had balls to release this and Rollin' and Scratchin' fully knowing it would alienate a lot of people. I'll admin I didn't like them when I first heard the album, but now they're among my favourites.
I love this and Rollin. These songs giving off the techno vibes.

i q-burned them within 3 months lol
they still destroy floors.. get them bak2bak & jus cut/chop/trick for days 😈

It progresses in such a satisfying way. The changes are so subtle and carefully measured, but they add up to a massive impact. It just gets better and better the more you listen.
So true
Rock and roll and rolling and scratching are pure techno. Thank you Daft Punk for being the inspiration for many other producers that came after you
Imagine if they mix both of the songs together
Put Rolling n scratching on rock n Roll ... that s crazy... i did it 20 years ago ... perfect mix
I really wanna blast this at a party just to see the reactions

lmao so true
Who would've guessed that 7 and a half minutes of guitar feedback could be one of the best songs Daft Punk has to offer. I'm not being sarcastic. This is legitimately one of my favourite songs from them.
this and Rollin and scratching are the most annoying tracks for other people, but i think they sound awesome
I can't believe I'm not alone!

Favorite Track too.
both are repetative but that's ok.

People wouldn't call this track weird if it was on Human After All album. This is actually a great song BTW!
nice pfp
This was just HAA beta edition
i love how the most minimal tracks on Homework are the longest
Rollin and scratchin are special. I think it is the level of energy and taste of avante garde to their approach, because you don't expect a crescendo toward absolutely ear piercing glory.
One of the worlds most underrated music of daft punk
it's just not a mass compatible song :) i love this too. just like rollin and scratchin.
to all the little wokers nowadays: eat this!!!
I unironically like this and I feel like I shouldn't.
This is one of my favourite tracks from them, but my opinion isn't valid, since I like actually their most recent album (Random Access Memories).
@@EireProductions RAM is a great album, people just hate it because it's "too mainstream"
@@ghostninja5035 - Yeah, seems like people have to feel special for liking Daft Punk or either it's their problem as a duo. As if Discovery hadn't helped them jump to the mainstream already.
Edit: Clarity
Edit 2: Also, RAM isn't all that mainstream-sounding anyways. It has a few pop songs (just like Discovery) but then you have things like Touch or Giorgio by Moroder that aren't pop AT ALL.
@@EireProductions you’re opinion IS valid, ram is a masterpiece, those who hate it are just assholes that hate everything that is mainstream
You definitely should
Still better than anything on the radio nowadays
This gave me the chills when i heard it for the first time and still does... 24 years later. 4:41 - 6:45.
That crescendo is so raw and full of emotion, as if the screeching sound was a scream
It goes up in intensity, like every good song should.
What makes this one different?
It goes WAYYYY up.
You can't like this track from outside, you have to immerse into it to feel the magic.
Death grips should use this and rollin and scratching as intrumentals
Omg I agree
Definitely that’d be cool
It already sounds like a distorted MC Ride
This song melts your brain because it's supposed to do that and I love it for that

it doesn't rock, but it roll
Can we just accept the fact that the steady hi-hat beat on this is simply awesome? Especially in the part the beat halts for a while and then that hi-hat builds up to the climax. That's the difference between ordinary "tum tss tum tss" electronic music and actually GOOD electronic music.
we used to get stone in front of our high school gymnasium listening to this smoking joints and passing it to one another ; ) good memories of my pre-rave youth !
Best track in the history of music

In my opinion the masterpiece of daft punk
Burnin, Rollin n Scratchin, and Rock n Roll

This song is fking beautiful and I’m now an addict to it.
Rock'n roll is the evil cousin of Rolling'n'scratchin

A Audio version of torture and I love it
This track stands out among Daft Punk songs, but it's actually really good. Heavy and dirty acid house.
One of the most coolest/beautiful synths to be made 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Imagine hearing some of their more melodic stuff and then having a listen to their older stuff, and having your poor little brain melt, instead of being exposed to this at the time and being disappointed with their more melodic stuff.

This sounds like the music in a boss stage in which the music gets more crazy when you or the boss’ health gets too low.
This & Rollin' and Scratchin' - Happy anniversary sweet couple
Ahhh.... 1997, the sound of the happy childhood
It's rare that a song can literally scare you.

This literally sounds like television rules and nation and this song so much!
This song is the definition of “It’s so bad, it’s good.”

One of the hardest tracks I’ve ever heard
weirdly enough this song goes by surprisingly quick
I find it so weird, but cool at 6:11 they switched the noise to a slightly catchier beat for like 15 seconds
Tellement improbable comme son. Suis je déjanté pour adorer ça.
