- After a recent visit to Sanicole air show in Belgium and witnessing Kristin “BEO" Wolfe's incredible F35A display it was on right to catch up again as soon as I could. After spending a few days filming low level jets in California we headed up to Las Vegas for Aviation 2022. I’ve filmed not only the display but Beo carrying out her final checks around her aircraft along with her own pre flight preparations.
Major Kristin Wolfe is the Commander, F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team, 388th Fighter Wing, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The mission of the F-35A Lightning II Demonstration team is to showcase the unique aerial capabilities of the Air Force’s most advanced 5th generation multi-role stealth fighter, the F-35A Lightning II, as well as highlight the history of the Air Force’s service through heritage formation flights.
Major Wolfe entered the Air Force in 2011 after receiving her commission from the U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Program at the University of Alabama. She is an experienced fighter pilot with more than 800 flying hours in the F-22A Raptor and F-35A Lightning II. Her flying assignments include Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin AFB, Texas, and fighter training in the F-22A at Langley AFB, Va., and operational assignments at Langley AFB, Va., and Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

I am 81 years old and so so proud of her. She is amazing young woman.
We had the privilege of seeing her final flight as the commander of the F-35 demo team at the Sanford Orlando Air Show at the end of October, 2023. Amazing performance. As she taxied in to show center at the conclusion of her flight, the airport fire department had 2 trucks positioned to provide a water arch in tribute as she taxied underneath. They also bought her family out to meet her as she climbed down from the cockpit, but not before her ground crew chased her around the aircraft, dousing her with water, or maybe “sparkling water” of some sort. My understanding is that this is a tradition in the USAF when a commander takes his or her last flight with the team. Godspeed Major Wolfe!

Thank you Kristin for your service! My father was a Navy pilot during the Korean war. He flew the F4U Corsairs off the USS Saipan. He was shot down twice but luckily for me and me brothers and sisters, he survived. We all served and were proud to do so. I wanted to be a pilot like my dad but my eyesight was just too bad and I was too short. This is what our great country is all about. Great people and patriots who are willing to sacrifice everything to defend our people and our country. I live in the greatest country on the face of the Earth and could not be more grateful.
