Ah, the good old days of Minecraft, Netherrack actually looked like some type of spiky rock from hell rather than a block of rotten flesh, and zombie pigmen existed :) the nostalgia is great

Arch illager: Rhymes pretty good

Rewatching these now that I am older I realize how good these words are and how the rapping matches what I mean is I can comprehend the song not just listen to some words and the rhythm

love how each of these songs gives the mob a personality.
The Creeper has a gangster personality that enjoys spreading dread across the Overworld.
The Enderman is ominous and kinda psychotic. He enjoys tormenting anyone who looks him in the eye.
The Skeleton has a rather crazy trickster personality mixed with a serious bloodlust. He's eccentric too.
The Zombie is the nicest of them all though. He just wants to be your friend but he needs to eat your brains first.
EDIT: Turns out, the zombie is not so nice afterall. I needed to find a way to connect the horde to this guy and realized he's trying to get Steve to join the cult. So in other words, he's a nice guy but also a not-so-nice guy. He's acting nice to lure you in so he can eat your brains and make you one of them.
The Spider and the Skeletons are best friends but while Skelly is a crazed lunatic that wants to kill the human for fun, the Spider is the straight man who's all about hunting. They also only hunt humans for food, and are not really as malicious as the other mobs.
EDIT 2: Zombie Pigmen are your tour guide to the horrors and dangers of the Nether. They're basically party animals who have seen all there is to see in the Nether. They're a little unhinged so don't spend too much time with them because they might just kill ya.

Creeper and Enderman raps are my personal fave, but hearing the villager child scream "read the book damnit!" had me in stitches.

I love how they all kinda transition into eachother.

Not just the music is great, but i also love how much the animation compliments the song.
Zamination animates energeticly and is so Expensive, which it fits with how fun and cartoony the Skeleton is, along with the Pigmen.
Element Animation is known to be very goofy and funny, which fits so well with the Enderman, Zombie and Snow Golem Rap (and i got to say that the voice for the enderman sounds so much like Elements Villagers)
Ekrocouster has a much more dark and more detailed animations, so it matches The spider rap and the Warden Rap alot.(I know that the Warden rap is not in this compilation, i just have to mention it)

Creepers: They're tyrants. They want to make sure everything, including you, fears them and will all blow up to make sure that they get their point across.
Endermen: They want you to look at them so they can attack you.
Pigmen: They're your tour guide in exploring the dangers and horrors of the Nether.
Skeletons: They're pissed that you get to be in the daylight while they can't so they're taking it out on you.
Arch-Illager: After being neglected, rejected, exiled, bullied and abused his whole life, he finally finds a powerful artifact that would convince him to embrace the darkness and rule the world with an iron fist.
Zombies: They want to be your friend, but in order to make it work, they need to remove and eat your brains first.
Snow Golem: They're supposed to be protectors of the villagers but because they kept firing snowballs and leaving snow trails, they were rejected.

Finally, I can vibe to all these freely. And I still remember the days they were uploaded. Man, I feel so old.

I'm been listening to these songs endless going on for a loop and can't get enough! Both Skeleton and Zombie's songs we're my personal favourites though out of the main 5.

Not sure what we did to get this but I'm in favor of it continuing. Just went thru some gaming history- any plans to do anniversary raps for some of the longer running game series? Can't say that I've ever hear a Street Fighter rap from Dan.

My youngest son adores these songs, he has them on the TV all the time.
And as a parent, I don't mind. The production quality of these is outstanding, and Dan is a lyrical genuis.

These are still good, even with new CGI and detail. One that I’ve waited for a remake/remix since it was made was the Enderman rap, but either way this made it easy to see all the old songs.

seeing "dan" die at the end of the pigman rap puts a whooole new perspective on the skeleton's rap tbh. Feels like the skeleton is mad at him for going into the nether and dying, thus creating the skeleton. Not the case, but *wow* does it hit different when you think of it like that

After the pigman rap it showed the person being chained up and dipped in lava, when he came back up he was a skeleton. The skeleton rap is, I feel like, the skeleton saying “ the worlds too small for the both of us” or “ there can’t be two of us”.
