One of the best things that the korean englishman channel did was bringing Ollie in front of the camera. I remembered when I initially subscribed, Ollie was always the one behind the cameras filming and don't get me wrong, Josh was great on his own but having Ollie also hosting just breathes a new life into the channel. Not only is Ollie always hilarious, he just has this empathy and sincerity to him and watching the dynamic between Josh and Ollie always makes me believe a bit more in the experience of human connections.

ahhhh so many emotions in one video!!! Love you boys! So grateful for brotherhood like this, and also.. lolling so so hard at some of those stories 😂

This video is so raw you can see what a pure soul ollie actually is. He's not just some dorky guy, or "an idiot" like Josh's catchphrase. He's done his master's degree, wrote his dissertation on a road trip on the other side of the world from home, daggumit. All while juggling with other significant job. This is just so beautiful. Ollie you're such a precious gift to this world

This video is so raw, you never see content like this anymore. 2 guy's eating, joking and sharing genuine life experiences the most beautiful and the most ugly. Honestly it takes a lot for people to truly be themselves and especially in today's society where mostly men are just assumed to be okay, you guys sharing your struggles is inspirational and the fact you are still friends and on the better side of it all just shows to people to push on. Honestly one of the best video's I've seen in a long long time!

진지한 올리라니.. 그동안 영국남자에서 보지 못해왔던 새로운 모습이라 신기하기도 하고 영국남자 채널에서 보이는 모습이 역시 전부가 아니구나 하는 것을 다시 깨닫게 됩니다. 25분이라는 긴 영상 시간에도 불구하고 시간 가는 줄 모르고 봤습니다. 한 편의 다큐멘터리 같은 이러한 영상들이야말로 영국남자 채널과는 다른 단앤조엘 채널만의 차별점이죠. 앞으로도 이런 좋은 영상 꾸준히 만들어주셨으면 좋겠습니다. 개인적으로 조쉬 인터뷰도 올라왔으면 하네요! 단앤조엘 채널 역시 영국남자 채널 만큼이나 크게 알려지고 성공하기를 항상 기원합니다.

엄청 신기한게...
보통 별 감흥 없는 평범한 곳곳의 골목이 단엔조엘 영상만 보면 굉장히 아담하면서 소박하고 이뻐보인다는 것..
물론, 화질보정의 기타사항이 있겠지만 영상 속 분위기는 정말 가보고 싶은 동네로 느껴진다는 것...
열심히 살아가시는 자영업자분들의 순간순간 행동과 그들의 삶을 간간히 비춰주는 것 또한 정말 자연스럽고 꼭 다큐멘터리 한 편을 보는 듯 하는 착각에 빠지게 합니다.
영상도 따듯하고 나아가고자 하는 방향도 정말 의미가 가득하고...
한국을 넘어 더욱 더 전 세계로 뻗어나가는 단엔조엘이 되었으면 하네요.

I'm grateful that he and Josh pushed on despite the anxiety and hardship because 영국남자 is by far my favourite channel on KRplus. Also, amazing editing and shots, guys! The video was tastefully shot.

개인적으로 이번편 정말 마음에 와닿네요. 올리의 심층적인 인터뷰도 처음봤고, 조엘과의 에피소드를 진짜 친구랑 치킨집에서 이야기하는 분위기 여서 여러생각도 들고 따뜻해지는 영상이였습니다.

너무나 좋은 영상이었습니다. 4명 모두를 너무 오랫동안 봐왔던 저로서는 약간 슬픈 영상이었습니다. 거의 보지 못한 영상이 없을 만큼 매냐 구독자가 되어 버렸는데, 요즘은 조쉬와 올리 채널을 보고 있지는 않지만, 또 다른 채널을 시작한 단앤 조엘의 성공된 채널이 됐으면 하는 바램이 저는 너무나 원하고 있는 것 같습니다. 모두 나의 큰아들보다 어리고 자식들 같지만 먼 나라 영국에서 조쉬가 영상을 시작하고 이렇게까지 많이 달라져 가는 모습과 생활을 보면서 저도 느낀 바가 많다고 말하고 싶고 배운 점도 많았습니다. 항상 4명이 가는 길에 항상 하나님이 함께하길 빌겠습니다. 날씨가 매우 춥습니다. 4명 모두 항상 건강하시길.. 건강이 없다면 돈도 잘하는 일도 못 하게 됩니다. 아무리 바빠도 항상 자신의 건강을 돌보시길 부탁드립니다. 항상 감사합니다.

I have really watched this 5 times already, and this is one of my most favorite of the videos here in Dan and Joel.. Ollie's been one of the best guests they have in this channel. I admire everything he went through in his life as he told here, and likewise how deep and sincere he is. And I think that is what makes me watch Jolly and Korean Englishman, because I can see Ollie's personality. Thanks Dan and Joel for making this video...

저의 부모님은 제가 어렸을때 이혼 하시고 저는 어머니와 같이 살게 되었어요.
부모님의 이혼 후에 아버지가 저에게 편지 한통을 우편으로 보내셨는데
아마 편지를 적으시다 버리려고 했던걸 저에게 보내신 것 같아요 접은 자국이 그대로 있는 구겨진 편지지에
"너를 처음 만났을 때 세상을 다 가진듯 기뻤다" 이렇게 적힌것을 보고 그 어린 나이에도 얼마나 울었는지 몰라요 아버지와는 이제 연락을 하지 않지만 그 편지는 아직 가지고 있습니다.
올리의 인터뷰를 보니 저의 아버지도 저런 감정이였겠구나 싶어 눈물이 나네요

I felt a little lost myself as well, after my graduation. When I was at uni I was very certain of my identity as a “student”, I had a schedule to keep to, different friends group to meet up with and a secure status.
When I graduated I didn’t know what to do with myself, I felt confident in my degree but didn’t know if it was the right thing to do. So I tried out on different things to see if it was “the way” my life should be. I have only managed to find something that I feel sure of after 4-5 years of getting lost and struggling in life. There has been a lot of let downs and life induced challenges on the way but I’ve got there eventually. Anyone feeling lost and overwhelmed by your current life, persevere! Don’t lose hope. You will find yourself somewhere that you are happy in one day like I have. Big love x

어린 시절에 친구를 사귈때는 나에게 좋은 사람만 만나면 되지만 , 나이가 들어 가면서 나에게 좋은것을 주는 사람하고만 지낼 수는 없게 되고 그것이 사회다라는 것을 배우게 되는데 혼란을 겪는 순간이 생기죠. 나이가 들어 뒤를 돌아 보았을때 나에 대해서 다이해 해줄 수 있는 친구라고 생각 했었던 사람도 어느 순간엔가 그때의 나와 친구가 맞는가 싶은 생각도 듭니다. 사회에서 어떻게 살아야 나를 지킬 수 있고 내가 살아 남을 수 있는지를 알게 되면서 부터 어릴적에 느꼈던 그 감점들은 모두 지금은 아니다라고 느끼는거죠. 하지만 아닌것이 아니라 상황이 다른곳에 내가 놓여져 있기 때문에 달라진걸 지금에서야 느낍니다. 살아가는데 힘겨움을 가장 많이 느끼는 30대의 어느 한 순간에 이 영상을 보면서 다시 한번 느끼네요. 많은 사람들과 함께 웃으며술 한잔 기울이며 한바탕 재미있게 놀고 있는 와중에도 혼자인것만 같은 생각이 들때가 아주 많은데 , 혼자야... 혼자이구나... 싶을때 조쉬 올리 영국남자 , 졸리 영상 , 단앤조엘을 보면서 힘을 받으며 다시 일어서서 걸어 나가야지... 일어서네요 항상 고맙습니다 ^^

I keep coming back to this video. Ollie is such an amazing person. He’s such a goofball and he downplays his good looks all the freaking time but when there are serious talks like this or the topic is about Juno, you can really see how humble, kind, compassionate and full of wisdom he is. Thanks for featuring Ollie. I'm so glad I got to learn more about him. I cried, laughed, and laughed until I cried (sorry it was at your expense Joel). Hearing Ollie talk about that 6 month period of his life and the anxiety and panic attacks...it really made me hurt for him and everyone who goes through or has gone through that. I'm living like that right now and trying so hard to work through it. I'm really encouraged that I can change how I handle things and live a full and exciting life even though right now I'm in my 50's and scared to leave the apartment. You guys all have such a brotherhood that I live vicariously through and it really is my lifeline to the outside world, so thanks again Joel.

미국 영상도 봤었는데 그떄 조엘이 있었구나.. 다 기억은 안나지만 모두 힘든 시절에 갔던거군요.. 어쩜 저렇게...허심탄회하게(솔직하고 편하게) 얘기할까... 내가 저 안에 앉아서 같이 얘기를 듣는거 같네요. 그만큼 저도 조쉬를 통해 친구들 모두를 내 친구처럼 궁금하고.. 보고싶고 그렇게 느끼고 있었나보네요. 그냥 너무 좋네요.. 담엔 좀더 길 안쪽에서 만나길 바라구요.ㅎ (차가 너무 왔다갔다하네요. 이런건 더 아래쪽 아시아에서는흔할지 몰라도.. 한국에서는 길 테이블에서 차양없이 먹고 마시는건 사실 그렇게 흔하진 않으니까..)

its so cool that we see ollie being so serious here and with his honesty in sharing him and joel's mental struggles - i mean i watch them to get away from my struggles, and it just hit me how normally, ollie is super funny and enthusiastic and happy, he's gotten to such a good place in his life with the channel and his family and everything, but in actual fact he's gone through darkness to get here, and this gives me hope too :") i hope that one day i can have such meaningful friendships and have deep talks with friends over food

Yes!!! Josh is priceless in what he has accomplished by educating people all around the world into the beautiful life of Korea. He and Ollie did this with such respect and yet made it very entertaining. All of you men, grab my heart in your genuine love for not only Korea, but the love and respect you have for each other. Dan and Joel are doing a wonderful job as well. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart! ❤️👍🏻💯

These guys are smart to create concepts that are ordinary nothing special but easy to relate with. They must be good actors or being so natural in front of cameras.. their conversation is as if I am sitting with them & listen. Olli is such a good talker. 🙂
