It’s adorable that Danny cries everytime the little girl gets adopted and is so mad about crying about it, but not because he thinks it makes him look weak, but because he thinks the movie isn’t worth crying over
Crying is for strong people who aren’t afraid to be vulnerable 💪💪💪💪💯
@@notaspacecow 👏💯
I am the same way with My Girl. I cry so hard and it’s infuriating.
Love that! No toxic masculinity on Dannys channel
Danny is unironically more strong than any “alpha male” KRplus channel… because he doesn’t even have to try. He doesn’t have to put on a front of strength and confidence, he just naturally is confident and unafraid to be goofy or cry or care if people think he’s not masculine for it. He’s just himself and chill and it speaks volumes about his confidence, unlike alphas who are obsessed with how they’re being perceived.
Stan is THE writing mood tho. Typing two words and saying “screw it, I’m outta here?” That is the most relatable thing about writing I’ve ever seen in a movie tbh
Every time I sit down to write and then give up without getting much done I can hear Danny say “Stan’s not writing shit today”. Stan is a little too relatable at times 😅

Dark, but... what a great plot idea
That would actually make a really good movie

@Wicked Program why not just edit the word wtf
Stan’s an abusive douche and I feel really bad for Lisa but there’s one moment in the movie that really gets under my skin. Why didn’t Lisa tell Stan she was giving away their sons stuff? Like I totally get why she would want to do that on her own, she wants to heal, but there is no way she was thinking in her head “You know what would make my grieving and unstable husband get better? Giving away the last outlets he has to his son. Surely this will fix our marriage and he’ll say ‘you’re right Lisa. I’ve been too attached to my dead son and you giving away his stuff without consulting me really changed me for the better.”
Obviously not on Stans side, but Lisa should’ve thought that decision through a little more
exactly. i think she was inconsiderate… but yeah not worse than stan.
Yeah, I felt a little bad but I feel bad for both of em.
bro she was literally checking out some dude at work, they're both shit
tbh she didn't have to get rid of all of his shirts like his special jersey. i mean yeah move on but man that was his jersey you can still remember him some what
Yeah like he died one day ago let him have some memorabilia sheesh
The rest of the movie absolutely should have been Stan’s ever-increasing rage at his continued failed attempts to destroy the lamp. It should have been like a Warner bros cartoon and he gets bigger tools each time like a jackhammer and then a steamroller and industrial shredders, like he has to literally drive to these locations, and each time the wife just slaps her forehead, riding along with him in the car, saying “Stan no stop it”
I'm pretty sure it's the plot of one of the episodes of Amazing World Of Gumball
Spoiler
It ends with them trying to destroy the thing with whatever machinery is used to destroy cars
And it fails
tearfully begging him "Stan no, Stan wait, stop it, Stan-" and like, just kind of half-heartedly jogging behind his car as he's driving (in my head, he is driving so slowly that she is actually kind of keeping pace with him, if not just like, 15 feet behind the car)
“See? It’s just a lamp! Nothing magical about it!” Stan says as he chucks the lamp into an active volcano, only to walk back to his car and see it buckled up in the backseat.
Stanley is literally the worst protagonist
Or is he?

I feel like this movie was originally a Christian movie but something happened in production that made then cut everything religious from it. Charles is clearly supposed to be a "messenger of God" and I bet Sam was also originally some holy being as well, a guardian angel or God himself perhaps. I bet there was just a ton of religious stuff cut from the movie in editing for an odd reason. I wonder if there was 2 releases, one religious and one not. It feels weird that someone would make a religious movie and then just cut it all out so far into development
EDIT: IT IS! the movie is based on a book under the same name and the book is listed under Christian tags on Amazon. The writer had also previous made Christian movies. Why they cut all of that out is beyond me

Grief is so difficult to process. When my boyfriend died… me, his mother and father, and brothers all handled it very differently. It’s been a year and half, and while I see his father occasionally he’s told me it hurts to be around me because it reminds me to much of his son. His mother and I grab coffee and catch up at least once a month. There were times in the first few months after he died that there was short tempers and lashing out, especially from his dad.
I know the dad in this movie was an asshole, but having gone through a death myself I can understand it. He knows deep down how cruel he’s being but I know how it feels to be imprisoned in your own grief.

I have a theory that Sam and Charles are the same type of “Messenger” and it was initially Sam’s job to coach Stan and Charles’ job to coach Lisa (the lamp is actually not relevant at all to his appearing), which is why Charles disappeared when Stan came into the room initially. But Sam failed so hard at trying to convince Stan to move on that Charles decided he needed to appear to Stan and help him as well as Lisa
i actually think this is a pretty interesting exploration of grief when you compare Stan's reaction to Lisa's. the abuse was messed up and i kind of wished they had gotten divorced to show that grief and trauma can really really change people
There is one good thing about this movie. Stan has good character consistency. You know something will happen, and he will get angry, throw something and storm away.

red flag- indeed. Throwing something is the first step to abuse. Her flinching means he’s done it before or that she feels at risk of being harmed, absolutely abuse. It’s not okay and it makes me hate this movie.
@@jostewart3192 it's a terrible movie with bad actors I highly doubt they've added a domestic abuse undercurrent.

Charles ain’t no messenger. Charles is a therapist for people with ptsd and schizophrenia 💀💀💀
my personal headcanon abt charles is that he can only exist as a being within the physical realm while someone is like. wishing for something or whatever, so more or less he is summoned by the lamp and is only able to exist while someone needs him there, and that doesn’t happen often, so he doesn’t get too many opportunities to eat food because he doesn’t technically need to eat and where he resides between realities there’s no food or whatever. so he treats himself to a little snack while in the physical realm, it doesn’t have to be extravagant, it’s just a little treat for him. that or it’s just good toast have you ever had a good tasty slice of toasted bread with butter? heavenly.
imagine the dead child in the beginning just hated baseball and his dad forced him to play, and when he told his had he didnt want to play anymore his dad took off his training wheels and shoved him directly into oncoming traffic

Personally I don't think that the movie was THAT bad. Also as someone who witnessed a few times how families or a couple can get shattered after the loss of a child, I can say that the dad's attitude was pretty realistic. Especially if he blamed himself for his son's passing.
Some people deal with events like this differently from others. And as someone pointed out in the comments, what he really needed was just some therapy to go over all this

Victoria Hartson sorry but I did say spoiler alert so it’s your fault
Bro you spoiled the ending 😡
You can't do that, my zebra was watching and got sad cuz u spoiled it 😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿
I've only watched 5 minutes but I guess there's a car involved
Compared to many other “low budget” movies I have seen, this one seems relatively decent. It obviously has its weaknesses, however the ending, and the overall moral of this film seem pretty alright.
What moral

They always ask who is Sam. But never How is Sam.

Am I the only one that thinks that the relationship this woman has with her husband is, like, extremely abusive? I mean, sure. Couples fight, but this guy literally comes home from spying on children, and after claiming he doesn't want to fight... He picks a fight with his wife, and throws away her property for the second time. And I'm only halfway through the movie.
Okay, I'm almost done with the video, and I think someone might need to call the cops on this guy soon. I mean, he's asking children to come into his garage, he's abusing his wife, and he's sleeping in his dead son's bed.
Oh, 100%. The husband is super abusive and I wish they had split up.
Not to mention he lashes out at a young girl just for finding his son's glove when she's doing what he asked her to..which is clean out his garage. She could barely get "Can I use it?" out of her mouth before he comes thundering over and shouting about how you can't just take things when she wasn't even trying to take it.

Danny after Lisa introduces Charles: You can't just introduce someone like that! Stan doesn't know who he is.
Also Danny: (introduces Ms. Esther out of the blue as though we've met her before)

Sam was 100% written to be a guardian angel but it just ?? went unexplained
Guys like Sam are common for some reason, but they're usually very significant to the plot if not at the very center. A guy, usually either a janitor or just someone random, inexplicably shows up in places and says things that sounds profound. Often he introduces supernatural elements or serves as some kind of mentor. Then her just disappears suddenly until next time. None of this ever makes sense.
Sam is OBVIOUSLY the previous santa that fell off the roof and died
Piotr Styliński when Santas die they become invisible ghost janitors that give advice to assholes who like to watch little girls play baseballs

I miss my one red cowboy boot.

@TearDrop Cipher

I bet he cries every night because he uh... doesn’t have his three shirts 👕 ⚾️
Exactly, he probably missed his pants too wait... he doesn’t have any pants
MrPiggy9020

Eddie has only ridden a baseball before so bikes were just very new to him, so cut him some slack Danny.
Anybody worried that (since 2 years passed) Stan
1. Slept in his son's bed for 2 years
2. Didn't pay his credit card bill for 2 years
3. hasn't done the devil's tango in 2 years so the wife is probably having an affair

with the way Stan was acting, you'd think the son had died *last week*. I get that it's traumatic to see your young child die and that pain doesn't just go away, but I can't imagine how you get by for 2 years without paying your bills or getting any work done, not to mention he's still sleeping in his son's bed
