Which one would you rather use? The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ or Apple’s iPad Pro?

I currently own the iPad pro 2018, but I would switch to the Tab S7+. Mostly because I'm more of an Android person: Android allows for moar customization, it's easier to move files in and out of the tablet (there's an actual proper file manager), MKV support, 5G support, and to me Samsung just feels more like home.

Samsung pretty much comes up with new features on their version of Android and Google then implements them a year or 2 later on stock Android, so they become a standard. No one else is doing android tablets well beside Samsung. No one else is innovating as much beside Samsung. When folder phones become more mainstream that's when Google will give a shit about tablets.

Samsung has Apple beat in just about everything with the exception of processing power and app optimization. Android as a whole will always be years ahead of Apple because there are so many features on Android that Apple will implement in the coming years
@@kratosrevivedtv1180 120Hz refresh rate was in Ipad since the 2018 pro model. It came to samsung tab s7 this time. Also, the LIDAR, which isn't in samsung "yet".The palm rejection is so efficient even in the ipad 10.2inch whereas if you use the tab s6 lite you would have to wear a glove since there are palm marks.And,the writing delay is totally unnoticeable since the 2018 pro model, which is now in the tab s7.
I'm not talking of the phones. I hate iphones. Apple has only made their iPads and Mac books great.The floating Magic Keyboard isn't in tab s7.
Also, App store has many useful apps which are specially optimised for ipad whereas play store is the same thing has the same apps for all devices be it Android phone or a tab. It may or not be optimised.

I agree, with the S7 you get way more screen, battery, speakers and it only comes with the superior snapdragon chipset (in my country we get exynos variant phones)

You can attach the spen to the side, it attaches to the back only to charge it. And you only need to charge it for the Bluetooth actions

And as opposed to the iPad, the S pen will work for drawing even with the battery run down. The charge is for Bluetooth features. So you can put the pen on the side, all day and and not worry about the charging.

am3ient Totally agree. No matter how much Samsung pushes tablets and watches, with the absolutely inferior apps, app quality, and software it makes all that great hardware fall way behind Apple. I only ever consider iPad or Windows Surface Pro for this reason.

1. You do NOT need to charge to s pan to draw, write or sketch with it. It is just for the bluetooth remote functions.
2. You can ALSO attach the s pen to the top of the Tab S7+, it just won’t charge there.
So the S pen wins when it comes to charging because when it is charged it has more functions than the Apple Pencil, amd when it is not charged it has the same functions as the Apple Pencil. And with the Apple Pencil you have to always charge it.
And it's at least another $100 for the Apple Pencil.

@@marioelburro1492 Surface Pro is not a tablet. It's a PC in tablet form factor so no real comparison, it is far better than either of these in most cases for productivity usage.

@@Battlevader your best bet is to buy it from some third party sellers online that take alot of time. There are some that are very good but you have to look. Wonda mobile is one of them, dont have the Note 20 Ultra yet, but since S20 Ultra was there after 2 months, it shouldnt take long. Obviously you need to pay in full.

Yoo I have changed my ipad pro 2018 to s7 +, this is my conclusion
S7 +: it's easier if you don't have another apple product, because android has more variety in its product (not stuck with 1 brand) and is cheaper, and I think Samsung is really pushing the features and users need, and I feel the s7 + This can give me convenience in any case (because you know... Android) but unfortunately for some professional apps, Android hasnt been well-optimized
Pros: Apple has more attention to its product ecosystem, so its applications and features are well maintained and professional, and I think the iPad Pro is a very balanced device in all aspects, but you need to buy lots of accessories if you have other needs such as adapters, pens, etc. . And because Apple really cares for its product ecosystem, they are very closed to other things that don't come from the product / company

Downloaded files stored in downloads folder, just open default file manager called “file”.
And you can open it with default PDF reader, or long press if you want to open it with another app

On the Tab S6, the pen could be magnetically attached to the left and right side when viewing in portrait mode. Im sure the Tab S7+ has the same feature.
Samsung is running a promotional trade-in for most of their previous products.
They gave me $300 for my Tab S4 towards the S7, which seems very generous considering that's what a mint one on eBay goes for (not to mention shipping costs, PayPal fees, eBay Fees, etc.)
So I'm looking forward to a new S7+ soon.

There's (perhaps) always one thing missing from reviews and that is the performance of the S Pen as compared to the Apple Pencil in greater detail, ie. writing and drawing. I am almost sold on the capabilities of the Samsung Tab S7 but I've always thought that no company has managed to design a pen that compares with Apple Pencil. I've always used Android smartphones but the only Apple gadget that I'd recommend (and use) is the iPad because of the Pencil... If you could also do a detailed review of the S Pen vs Apple Pencil (on grip, latency, etc.)

everyone knows the apple pencil is better. the s pen in the s6 was a weird shape, hard to grip, and now it looks tiny and it still has a button which can interfere with writing experience. this is coming from someone who has had both and prefers the ipad

Would love to see a direct comparison of performance between the Samsung and the ipad when using Clip Studio Paint. It is on both platforms now, so could be a great base to compare the relative performance of these devices.
Are you talking about processing speed? I don’t think anyone is expecting the Samsung to out-perform the iPad Pro, since it uses Snapdragon 865 chip which won’t come anywhere near the speed of the iPad Pro’s chip.
@@mklives2 I am talking about relative performance. CSP works very well on iPad Pro, despite only having 4GB Ram and a mobile processor. As it is a full blown desktop app, I did not expect this. Therefore I am very curious to see, how well CSP will work on the Samsung.

I’m debating leaving Apple. Things like DEX and being able to do dev work makes Samsung devices a bit more appealing. Though I’m curious was Apple with release with their Apple Silicon Mac device.

You need to research what apps you use because not all IOS apps will be available in Android and vice versa. Samsung Tablet is cheaper, but the screen definitely better with 120 Hz. The ratio for watching video is better too. And Samsung tablet has better support to wireless mouse, so you use it as a mouse, not a pointer. I'm using one and really love it.

You give a comparison title to the video and yet do not conclude it giving a solid verdict leaving everybody hanging and making the decision on their own. If we have to make a decision just by comparison, we can compare the specs ourselves and do it. We came here (and went to other channels as well) to see what you guys decide for yourselves and your personal take on it.
After owning an ipad and an android phone for a while now I'm excited to see Samsung make a good tablet that can combat the ipad pro. Ipad OS has been pretty mediocre for me with limited multitasking and a lack of a desktop like feel for work. Samsung dex is something great that I'm really interested in and it seems perfect for the tab7, I hope this tablet is a success!

Brian Hinton A few years back, Samsung tablets has this almost uniform bezels with a rectangular screen. Two years ago, Apple has uniform bezel with rounded edge display. Samsung now also moved to this round edge.
It used to be very easy in differentiating those tablets from each other, not it’s more difficult.

I have been waiting so long for a larger Android tablet. I read PDFs, e-textbooks, and the occasional digital comic book, for which sub-11" tablets are just a bit too small for my aging eyes. I was on the verge of biting the bullet and getting an iPad when the Tab S7+ was announced. I'm chomping at the bit for this one.
Given my specific uses, the lack of tablet-specific apps really isn't an issue for me.
As a long-time Samsung tablet user, I will *not* bother with the official case or keyboard. Those things are flimsy and provide zero drop protection.

Samsung has a great pre-order setup. They are giving me $349 for my S5e and they have taken around $2500 off the price as well. I just ordered mine for about $546 out the door. Not sure if this is still going on with the reduced price from pre-ordering.

These are both great tablets, I think that it all comes down to if you are an Apple person or an Android person.

That wireless Dex thing is absolutely a killer feature. If it works flawlessly, I can see many offices adopting to it over the years instead of giving out iPads.

I like the placement of the S Pen because my Apple Pencil always gets in the way when I try to hold the iPad in portrait mode. It's really annoying and I don't know where to put it.
@ohuhi 123 Most of the time I have to deal with this I'm outside and standing. I just put it in my pocket but it's still annoying. The 12.9" iPad with a keyboard is not a one-handed device and trust me trying to hold it while you can't put away your pencil is a pain.

I've been thinking about getting an iPad up until a few days ago when the news that they are not going to allow game streaming. So now I gotta go with the S7. Procreate is great and all, but I can't draw for sh*t. BUT I can play the heck out of Cyberpunk 2077 when it releases, and play it anywhere I want on the S7 5G on Stadia or Geforce, with xCloud as my netflix for gaming. Apple lost me at "No."

The good news is that the S7 will have Clip Studio Paint wich is an amazing desktop painting software that rivals and sometimes exceeded Photoshop, ported to Android exclusively for S7 for now. I'm more excited for that than anything else.
AxelFar94 Photoshop is a photo manipulation software first so of course something centered around drawing will beat it more easily

There's a lot of painting software who don't have the features photoshop have so they don't "beat it easily". My point anyway is that there's wasn't any software this powerful for Android yet. IOS have Procreate and also Clip Studio Paint too for quite some time now. But Android? Nothing this powerful until now

Samsung tablets got Airview with some amzing features i use for work ever day. So for Photo video work go for iPad (i use Macbook Pro for that) and for business in a windows like environment go for Samsung.
Hi Danny! Not sure if you're aware but you said that the iPencil magnetically attached to the side, but galaxy tab also has this feature! You can mount the pen on 2 edges of the device. Great video by the way. Tempted to upgrade from the S6 to S7 Plus.

Samsung did a really good job with the Tab S 7+
They tried to compete with the iPad Pro and I think they achieved this. Great display, great speakers, good battery, lot's of (cheap) storage, lot's of power and a really good software.

Watching reviews about Galaxy TabS7+ and I want to buy one now. Love all the features but I am worried about the software.
How long does Samsung support their older gen tablets? Hope to use this for up to 5 yrs. .
You get an additional 2 years worth of official Android OS (Android 11 and 12) updates in Samsung devices.
Samsung recently committed to providing 3 years of Android OS updates but I think it's only for the Note 20 series.
@@leonellthelion The 3 years of updates start with devices last year (Note10, S10, Tab S6, etc.)

I just ordered the 7+, my first tablet. Saved 150, not bad. The best display on the planet? Very excited to get it!

I have both and I love both 😅 I keep my iPad at home and my Samsung as my go around tablet.
Ckrrection: you can attach the spen to the 'top' of the tab s7. And of course, you can attach it to the back.
Can you do a video in which you compare the Tab S7 Plus with the iPad Pro in terms of note taking (it would be really helpful for students). Great video though.
I would say tab s7 plus since you get down for free while with iPad you have to buy apple pencil separately.
@@terencedsouza2885 Well, but if money wasn't a problem, then? I think there are specifically Apple pencil focused apps such as GoodNotes available on the App Store. I think that the Tab S7 Plus is lacking on the software side.
hello fellow student. you can use xodo android version for reading and highlighting..its IOS version sucks. for note taking i agree that goodnotes is still the best but noteshelf been good so far 👍🏻

5:45 you can actually also put the S-Pen on top. I dont know about charging, but it should be charged anyways because it doesnt fall off in the bag when it s at the back.

Wow very beautiful especially when watching videos the Landscape view gives a better viewing experience that that of the iPad Pro.
Summary, the Galaxy Tab S7+ is Clearly superior to the iPad Pro
I just got my tab s7 +and I couldn't be happier this replaced my laptop you can't be beat this lovely screen I can view 8k vids and 4k on this with zero lag it really is the best.
