The toxic people who scream at you on how the 11 is better in every way, are wrong because the se 3 actually performed better than the 11 in the battery drain test, despite having a 1/3 bigger battery and being a bigger phone.
@@revengeoveraero9366 tried the se and yeah its great, but the screen is just not good enough for my daily use. Too small, lcd and i can see the pixels in some situations and not bright enough

I traded my 12pro for a 13mini. I love how compact it is. Battery life blew me away, in that I didnโt get a drop off from my 12pro and I have not had a issue in first 4 mos owning it. It just hit 99% capacity, where my 12 pro after 4-5 months was down to 95%.
My father has his iphone 12 Pro for 10 months now and the battery is 95%...
I have iPhone XR 5 months, and still I have 100% battery cap
I have an iPhone se 2020 for 1.5 years and battery health is still 100%. It depends on how you use the phone really. I donโt let mine die to lower than 30 percent and I charge it. Maybe that helps.
I've also switched to an iPhone 13 Mini. I wanted a compact iOS device that won't keep me hooked on my phone all day. Lovin' it ๐ฏ

very good video & matches my 13 mini vs 12 regular test. However could you re-run this with dark mode, which I believe would give a significant 20% edge for the oled models?

I love your side-by-side comparison of all the models....very nice! I bought a 'Midnight'-colored iPhone SE 3 in early June 2022 and couldn't be happier with it. Granted, I'm not a power user....but I'm not your typical senior citizen either. I'm somewhere in the middle, so I've had no issues with battery life whatsoever. It's like having a Ferrari for the price of a Chevy Geo! *Excellent* value for money with the SE 3!!!
And now I'm seeing the SE 3 for just $99.99 if you get a pre-paid line with T-Mobile's Metro PCS!

Agreed. I bought the iPhone se2022 two weeks ago, and I've been impressed with the battery life as well. It's amazing how so many "techies" have been trashing this phone, and in particular the battery even before it came out. And now, in test after test, the battery has been holding up very well - even beating out the iPhone 11. It just seems that so many people want to see this phone fail because it wasn't made for the tech folks.

What surprised me was that there's very little difference between the 12 and the 12 mini. Thought it would be a much larger gap.

I loved my 2020 SE 2 and it worked well for me while I needed it. I used it mostly at home where I was constantly near a charger.
But man, once the world opened up again and I started to get out and travel a lot more, the battery become a major problem for me. Just using it for gps and web browsing and it feels like it starts dying on me in under 3 hours. Gaming? haha forget it. Maybe 1.5 hours.
Like I said though, I loved my SE when it worked for my lifestyle. It looks and feels amazing to me, even with those bezels, the screen looks great and it's fast and super powerful. I had a lot of fun with the little thing.
Yeah I also got an SE 2 in the middle of the pandemic and I didn't even notice any issue with the battery life until recently, now that I'm going out and doing things again the battery is something I'm thinking about all the time lmao
I have the iPhone 12 and the se 2020. Although the battery life on my 12 is much better, I actually prefer the compact form factor on my se 2020. I use it while working listening to podcasts and music all morning. It usually has about 30-40% battery left after about 6-7 hours of usage by the time I get home. I donโt game, watch videos or do any social media on my phones which is a huge factor. Thatโs what my iPad is for. The best part of my se 2020 is that itโs less addicting
They have roughly the same size, considering the chunky bezels. I could NEVER switch my own regular 12 with a shitty SE, 8 or my old 7. Everything is just on the next level. And even considering I also have an iPad, when being on the go, having a 6.1" screen is much more convenient for messaging and mails than a lousy 4.7" LCD.

why didnt u get the 12 mini? i liked the compactedness as formfactor so I got it and it does everything my iPhone 6s (same size as se)did but better and same as u i use iPad for movies but social media is still great on the mini

Right from the beginning 100% brightness doesn't mean the same luminence for all phones. You should probably buy a brightness meter to calibrate all phones to the same level and THEN test the battery.
Switching from SE2020 to 13 Mini, I found that this battery test is rather accurate.
Fairly impressed with the results. As you mentioned typically people don't run bench mark tests or record a ton of video on a daily basis (especially customers that are considering the 2022 SE) so pretty much all these phones with the exception of the SE 2020 should get you through the day without a problem.
Yes, I have seen 6-7Hrs SoT with the SE3 doing usual stuff. No one should be buying an SE3 for gaming.

The iPhone Se 2022 is just for a show-off for the A15. It literally shows how unimaginably efficient A15 is. Not only that but A15 actually has one of the most powerful single cores not just on phone where it is by far the best but also in a device as a whole. Only the latest gen AMD and Intel processors can match the power of A15 for the core.
I can only dream of Apple putting an A17 inside my XR's body

The onscreen GPU performance of the SE 2022 is Twice that of the 13 due to its sub 750p screen
But that meh battery and tiny screen is a no go for me

FINALL I have been waiting for this โฆ.
the 13 iPhones did shockingly well. but video recording at 4k killed the 13 mini battery way too quickly in comparison to the base variant. if someone cares to elaborate why that happened. iโd appreciate it

I'm not too sure but here's my guess. both phones have the exact same soc and camera system. But the 13 has a battery that's about one third bigger than that of the mini. So assuming the cameras draw an equal amount of power from the phone, then the mini would be affected more due to its smaller capacity.
Also there's another factor with the 4k. It causes the phones to heat up a lot, and the mini will get hotter than standard varients ( I know this from other reviews ect). When phones are hot, then the battery dies faster because it becomes less efficient, so as a result the mini gets hit way harder.
Hopefully that helps a bit?
It's because of small size of the phone ..there is not big collent in mini for the processor which becomes hot at 4k and kills the battery fast

These tests are misleading, you get much more screen on time on 11 than 13 mini in real life. Watch rather real day experiences than these battery tests.

I guess it is never the same test. I use an iPhone SE 2020 private and an iPhone 12 mini as a job device. And the iPhone SEโs battery lives so much longer than the battery of my 12 mini.

5 hour SOT on Wifi means 3 hour SOT on 5G in day to day usage. Facts!
Iโm surprised that the iPhone 12 with a much higher res screen and a smaller battery that is on 95% battery health had a quarter of its battery left when the iPhone 11 (with 100% battery health) died.
Itโs definitely a massively better choice as a cheaper iPhone when sold at discount/bought used compared to the 11 when considering the high res OLED screen, 5G, better battery, cameras and performance. The gap between the 12 and 13 isnโt as big.
iOS 15.4 had battery issues and Apple has updated quickly to iOS 15.4.1 to resolve these and in their notes they say that this is mainly a battery update. So I would probably not take the above test as gospel as the update will improve some of these devices.

I was about to get the new SE3 from old SE2, but then I realize that for that amount of money, I can get a 12 mini with better battery and more features.

12 mini is a fantastic phone. I briefly tried the SE as I came from a 2016 SE but got the 12 mini used and donโt regret it. Hopefully it lasts as long as my old phone.
@@Haymaker72 alot of ppl complained bad batt health within a year in 12 mini. Common pattern was fast charger and wireless charging methods. Better to use 5W slow charger to prolong batt life.

Mine is almost 2 years old, only had for a year as I bought used and mine is at 92%. I think it stems from people who abuse screen on time and charge multiple times a day. I only charge mine every other day.
