The ONLY Big Man Shaq Respects...

  • Shaq has been critical of other big men for years, but it seems Giannis Antetokounmpo is the first one he's truly embraced in his time on Inside The NBA. Shaq has actually been high on Giannis for a few years now, and seems to see him as the player who plays most similar to himself, as he decided to give Giannis his Superman nickname that Shaq has long refused to give to anybody else.

    People say Shaq's salty & sensitive, but weirdly, when it comes to talking about how good he was and taking a roasting, he's super humble.
    But... disagree with him about a random play in a highlight? "THAT WAS NOT A PICK! STOP IT!" or say a team won't win until their stars get along "YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WINNING, CHUCK!" lol
    He literally takes jokes about his kids and looks and about how he was a player, but when Chuck said LeBron doesn't wanna compete he jumped on Chuck. Relly weird, if you ask me

    • @AndresGomez-ct7qb
      @AndresGomez-ct7qb 2 년 전 +20

      @Watch Video But he's only sensitive about the weirdest things... The fact Barkley made fun of him being overrated and he laughed, but got upset when people hyped Luka's game winner...
      When Barkley said Shaq wouldn't get in the game 'cause they shoot 3s, he was okay with it. But when he said Harden's the best playing today he said "You say the dumbest things sometimes."
      When Barkley broke down how much he sucked after his prime, he laughed with him. But when reviewing a random highlight and Barkley calling a pick Shaq screamed "That's not a pick. Shut yo ass up.."
      Like wtf?

    Giannis has something called mental grit. Never gives up, continues to work on his game, and never runs from the grind. That itself is a skill. I'd say a more refined role for a traditional big man in the NBA should be this; be present on defense, get to the rim, set screens, be active in the interior, get the boards, and hustle hustle hustle.
      Giannis has all of that in spades. He's what I call a "competitive traditional big." A man who's style and tenacity forces old school ball to still hang with today's NBA.
