God, I've wanted to say that for a while!
And that applies to both Courage and Scooby.
Which is what sets Courage apart from Scooby. Scooby always runs away and almost always either falls into success or relies on the Gang to help save him. Courage meanwhile is terrified but still stands his ground and fights inspite of being scared, which is the main reason he will win this fight.
Scooby is just a Coward.
Courage is the definition of Brave.

Scoob is obviously a good boy, but is generally in a grounded series where his standard villain is a middle aged guy in a mask.
Courage is constantly facing down horror movie monsters, psychopaths, aliens and eldritch monsters on his own and winning.

I feel like Courage got this, from being more intelligent, having an endless supply of weapons, and especially if the God Bone comes into play. Not to mention, the vast majority of Scooby's threats are just normal people in costumes pretending to be supernatural. Courage's universe is the opposite where the majority of Courage's threats are supernatural creatures. But, just got to wait and see. Looking forward to this Death Battle!
God bone arguments has like four counter arguments on the top of my head and the evil entity is far beyond anything in courage verse

As for the evil entity, while it definitely is a force to be reckoned with at full power, it was no near full power when they defeated it otherwise it would have destroyed earth already which was part of its main goal.

The major difference between the two dogs is that Scooby deals with mostly fake monsters while Courage deals with real monsters...On a daily basis!
And monsters that tries to eat you or kill you while 90% of Scooby Bad guys would never commit murder and only frightens people.

The fact that courage is a Toon is the biggest factor for him here. He’s like SpongeBob or Popeye, able to survive and do anything however it’s not via enjoyment it’s more through sheer motivation cause courage 100% doesn’t enjoy his adventures at all. I remember the time courage became a kung Fu master in just a day and survived being on the surface of the sun and somehow even destroyed it by screaming.

I'm totally rooting for Courage in this death battle! Because despite his cowardly nature he always managed to beat every threat that he came across in his respective show, And if he can do all of that then I'm sure he can beat Scooby Doo.
That and he has way more experience than Scooby in dealing with actual threats. Plus, guy is insanely durable and has taken beatings and torments that would normally kill the average person/dog. Anything that Scooby can throw at him, Courage has probably survived.
Honestly, I love both dogs, so I feel a little sad that they have to fight.

Courage is a fitting name for this beagle. It's not about never being afraid of anything. It's about facing scary things despite your fear and that fits the dog perfectly! Some of these monsters scarred my childhood!

Courage has this. Even if we don't count their strenghts and weaknesses we can count what they face on the daily. Scooby's threats are usually people in disguise bar the few and between real supernatural menaces that appear in only a few episodes/movies/series but Courage literally faces creatures or problems of almost any supernatural or sci-fi corner of the writers imaginations ever 24/7 which are actually very real in his universe.
Courage HAS to win! In Cartoon Beatbox Battles, Courage didn’t get that many votes because people thought Scooby’s was better. Courage, don’t let me down. It’s my favorite Cartoon Network show.
The only reason why Scooby won the Cartoon Beatbox Battle audition was because he was more iconic than Courage. Sure his beat was amazing, but Courage had the better roasts!

I think that not that much. Scooby is enormous glutton and notoriously consum ungodly amount of food. He will symply eat god bone in 5 second and problem solved.

@@wojciechwerner8787 scooby isnt eating something that large. Especially since the passive effects of the bone wont allow him to in the first place. The Bone's effect is to make all dogs want to gnaw or lick at it forever. Simply eating it bypasses the Bones entire gimmick. Scooby and the gang get mind controlled on several occasions so he wouldnt be able to just eat it.

@kevinmiles9037 You could try to argue that that was simply a gag and wasn't meant to be taken seriously, but then you also have the time in which not only did he stand on the surface of the sun, surviving it's intense heat and gravity, but went to it's core to replace it's light bulb. Sure you could say that the space suit he was wearing is what protected him from the harsh conditions of the sun, but as far as I'm aware there's nothing in canon, either in the show or other canon media, that says or shows that the suits themselves were anything more than standard space suits.

Scooby can do some minor super natural things but Courage is straight up Bugs Bunny as a scared dog. The level of toon force Courage has beats anything Scooby can do.
But Scooby has a LOT of media to pull from, and some of it has blatant toon physics. Sure, you might be used to Scooby from his more grounded shows and movies, but Death Battle is most likely using a composite Scooby full of feats from really wacky side material you've never heard of (and it really wouldn't be fair any other way let's be honest).

Man, Courage was one of my childhood nostalgias. I even named my first ever dog after him. Anytime I look back at the show, it always for creepy it was. Only death battle could change that into how strong he was.
Courage survived being beheaded, blown up, disingreated, beaten within an inch of his life, being eaten, and even the surface of the sun! Can Scooby even put down someone like that I don't believe so unless I'm missing something. Courage's durability and versatile arsenal is just insane lol

I love the theory that Courage doesn't actually encounter aliens or robots or demons or monsters, but it's just his terrified canine perception of everyday events as terrifying encounters.

I remember a cartoon with this dog that kept running away from some evil super flea. Was that Courage or am I thinking of something else?
I spent most of my childhood and adolescence watching and re-watching Courage and am only now learning he was a beagle this whole time.
To be fair he looks absolutely nothing like a beagle, or really any discernible breed of dog.
I hope for Scooby’s death they have Courage Scream so Loud the area starts to get destroyed similar to how he did in the episode where Eustance and all of his enemies teamed up

I feel like a huge advantage for Courage is that everything he’s seen is completely real, from Gods to aliens while Scooby Doo has only ever gone up against people pretending to be monsters
Not only that, but Courage was actually willing to fight them while Scooby Doo has always opted to running away

He has faced some legit threats before, like the tar monster, the skeleton bros, zombie captain, and the diver guy.
But even then, none of them are as dangerous as 99% of Courage's foes.

That right there shows you know VERY little about Scooby Doo. Even in his more grounded shows and movies, there are consistent examples of him having to deal with REAL supernatural threats. Season finales and hyped-up movies have always introduced the Scooby Doo gang to real supernatural entities, not to mention the shows where they live in a straight up toon world with toon physics.
If this dog starts to lose, he will have to summon the COURAGE to win this fight.

I’ve only ever watched 1 episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog, but I always hated looking at that one tooth with the hole in it, it made my teeth ache in sympathy

I'm rooting for Courage, but I would not be surprised if Scooby's long history and many, *MANY* shows, since he has a lot of experience fighting supernatural monsters and individuals just like Courage, would provide him the right feats and tools needed to counter Courage's durability and take him down for good.
Finally someone took that Factor, Scooby-Doo is around for almost 50 years and had adventures with all kind of creatures and heroes, Courage most recent content is a Crossover with Scooby-Doo
But does Scooby fight real monsters consistently, and without any help from outside sources?
I haven't seen any of the newest shows with Scooby in it, but I'm very certain he hasn't gone toe to toe with godly beings on a daily basis.
@@panicwolf8586 Consistently? Of course not, he's been in far too many shows to even count, let alone have him be the one solving all the problems all the time. But is there Scooby Doo media where he deals with things on the same level as Courage and wins? Yes, absolutely. Sometimes he has straight up toonforce and lives in a toon world, depending on where you decide to look. You should be much less certain about yourself over a character you clearly haven't kept good track of over the years.
Not to mention that Courage has access to Toon Force. It's weaker compared to what we have seen on Death Battle, but he can move things like underground water sources, and can insta-grow moat creatures in under a minute.(both which are impossible to do in the Real World) Also, Courage has survived getting stung by some kind of hornets in one episode, which lived in this one hornets nest that was huge.(don't know if they were normal hornets in a giant nest, or if they were giant hornets in an appropriately-size nest for them. We didn't get to see Courage get stung, just the aftermath when he was covered from head-to-toe in blisters)

Ok so what i got from this is that the fight will most likely end with Scooby licking the God Bone until he becomes a sack of bones. Then again, most people thought FriezaTron would end in the panic bubble and it didn't since it was used less than a minute in, plus Scooby does have that positive whatever thing so maybe it doesn't work on him
As someone who once owned a beagle, I can attest to the separation anxiety and those pipes.

Could this be another battle where everyone is saying "This combatant wins easily, it is a stomp" but it ends up being the total opposite and in favor of the other?
But given Courage's cartoon survivability, Scooby has no way to put him down at all for good, because no matter how destructive of a feat you have physically, if your opponent can regenerate from NOTHING, there is nothing you can do. Obviously if you have some power to erase people spiritually and what-not, that could end up overcoming that, but Scooby doesn't seem to have such a power or item to use that would negate Courage's healing or destroy his soul.
While I grew up watching Scooby, I see this as either a tie if neither can put the other down, or Courage wins through his cartoon powers being able to harm Scooby.
Edit: Also, Scooby often relies on his friends for help, while Courage does everything himself. There may be an episode or two where he does ask for help from someone, but that still is much less often than Scooby needs help.
