I love the fact that Machamp's extra arms (From a biological standpoint) are significantly better suited for fighting the Goro, despite it making Machamp look a bit goofy

The Shokan's secondary arms look like they are intended as help to the primary ones rather than be an equal addition, because it doesn't seem like Goro's bone structure would support as much stress on his lower arms as it could his upper ones, while a Machamp has two full sets of shoulders, and a torso twice as thick, in order to use all four arms in equal capacity.

There's a strong possibility the Machamp was trying to train with Goro and Goro was misunderstanding.

That’s honestly terrifying considering he literally deconstructed his entire body with 2 punches at once
you'd think in a DEATH battle, Prince Goro would have the advantage. But even if we ignore Pokedex and Trading Card "facts", in gameplay Machamp can perform the Seismic Toss on Celesteel and Cosmoem, both of which have an official weight of 2204.4 lbs. I don't think any Shokan can match that.
@Patient Devil here's something else to consider: Satoshi Taijiri has said that when battling, Pokemon actually pull their punches. To them it's just a friendly competition. If they were to actually use their full power, the fights would be extremely violent and even deadly.

If you watch the part around 13:24 were Machamp rips off Goros arm in slow motion, you’ll notice Machamp doesn’t just throw Goro and yank off his arm in one motion. He throws him first, lets go briefly, then grabs his arm again, causing it to tear off when he yanks it. Gotta love the little details.

honestly, considering i find machamp adorably sweet and kind, i wouldve probably cried if Goro would have won.
Machamp, about as powerful as a handhelp nuke, but also really enjoys helping people carry their luggage from town to town.

I checked the result for Machamp's mountain feat and then compared it to the 0.77 ton feat Goro can be scaled to. Using the absolute minimum number that was calculated for the mountain feat (8.27 kilotons of TNT), this makes Machamp no less than being 10,740X stronger than Goro.

I really like how Machamp, minus his regular punches and throws, only really uses four distinct moves throughout the fight: Knock Off, Seismic Toss, Rock Smash and Cross Chop. I know that the 4 move limit is more game balancing than anything, but I still thought that was cool. You could argue some more, like his finisher being a Dynamic Punch or some of his throws being Submission, but he only uses four that you could undeniably call distinct moves as opposed to regular old punching and the like.

So let me get this straight, ash's mom sent a 10 year old out on his own in a world full of monsters like this? And people want to say goku is a trash anime parent
Literally everyone in that world does though.
To be fair, most wild Pokemon are shockingly amicable and almost never attack people with their full power and under their own volition. That, and humans in the Pokemon world are FAR more durable than humans irl (Jesse and James routinely walk off blasts strong enough to launch them over the clouds, which would equal over 30 tons; that's MORE than enough force to reduce any irl human into a red smear in one go, yet humans in Pokemon just walk it off like it's nothing with only minor bruises).
I take it you've never looked at the lore of pokemon in detail. Just look at pokemon like Chadelure and Shedinja, both pokemon that will literally destroy your soul if you look at them wrong, or Banette, which is a pokemon that seeks its child that abandoned it to get some form of unspecified revenge on them.

This is one of the most hardcore crossovers I have ever seen! The commitment to the characters, the flawless animation and the remix of Pokemon VS Mortal Kombat music had me completely invested. The world needs more of this! Huge props to the team behind this masterpiece!

They lowballed Machamp. The Pokken tournament fights are likely slowed down, and the fact that it can outspeed beam attacks makes it very, very fast.
A battle, with connections literally being they have four arms, is one of the best imo. Good animation, fun fight, music that sounds like someone screamed Mortal Kombat before a Pokémon battle. It’s great.
Actually is:

-Masters of all kinds of martials arts in their respective verses
-honorable Fighters
-hailed as some of the most fearsome top-Class Brawlers there is.
I’d just like to point out how literally EVERY Pokemon in their universe can survive multiple punches from Machamps

Pokémon really is a wild game. Some of the legends like mewtwo or deoxys could fare with the heaviest hitters from manga or American comics.

Honestly, I agree, that was one of the better fights of death battles, and it had such a story as Machamp. I will say tho, I don't think machamp can move a mountain we saw them struggling to lift rocks at 8:11 its fine its a cool fight
Can we all just take a minute to appreciate that absolute All Might level of cheesiness at 13:43?
I think it’s so impressive that they even kept machamp in the range of 4 moves.
His main move was close combat (go figure)
He uses submission twice. 11:47 isn’t a seismic toss because he didn’t toss him
Then he does a beautiful cross chop to rock smash combo at 13:17
He used Knock Off to get rid of the weird bracelet blade things.
A Pokemon isn't bound by 4 moves FYI that's a gameplay mechanic, just like how a Digimon isn't bound to 1 like in Next Order and DB characters aren't only bound to 3 or 5 like in Budokai and somewhat of XV.
We literally saw in the anime they can go beyond that
"But the anime isn't can-!" There's a HUGE difference between a gameplay mechanic and how someone or something functions canonically which people fail to see. But if you wanna go deeper Masuda and Gamefreak are literally credited for making certain episodes and movies
Seismic Toss is shown in the anime and in Pokén tournament to grab the opponent then launch upwards to utilize gravity for the damage.
@@azure8935 Turns out they do the 4 move pool thing in the anime, as well. Look at Pikachu, for example. He always has Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail, and a fourth move which is dropped every other season (Thunder, Volt Tackle, Electro Ball, etc)

That would be absolute carnage with an Adamant nature, 31 IVs in Attack, and max EVs with the best moveset possible.

could've very well been both. i mean, guts itself is obvious but bulk up was a vague assumption on my part. it's why i put a 'maybe' there.
Before the dynamic punch is another close combat
After a couple years it’s still one of my favorite fights you guys have made. The animation is just top notch, the humor is good, and overall the choreography was unlike any other fight. Amazing!

The only things that actually damaged Machamp were the skull crack, the throw through walls, the fire breath and the arm ripping. I think that everything else just didnt even pinch Machamp tbh-

Hey I just realized the animation is basically a 3-round fight like in Mortal Kombat. First round ends after Machamp divebombs Goro. Second round ends after Goro throws Machamp through a wall. Third round ends in a fatality.

True, but TBH if I had to debunk one thing its the fact Seismic Toss isnt a planetary fall, if you use it in the Battle Tower in Pokemon Sword it shows that the Pokemon is only thrown a pretty long range, but not enough to be considered planetary. Its comparable to Noob Saibot's Teleport Slam move. But it still doesnt matter in the end cuz Machamp has alotta other moves to dispatch Goro.

Let me remind you all that both Machamp and Captain Falcon are both Nintendo characters played by the same voice actor here and they defeated both MK characters, Johnny Cage and Goro.

Time controlling Dialga, space controlling Palkia. Knowledge, emotions and will power lake trio. Continent and water creating Groudon and Kyogre. Regigigas, who apparently moved all continents. Raquaza, who created atmosphere and can fly throw space destroying everything on its path. Mewtwo, who has enough psychic power to be compared to some early dragon ball z characters. Machamp is like, neer the bottom of pokemon hierarchy.

And also, Machamp's power belt holds back his power level so removing his power belt would be him going all out! He didn't even remove his power belt when fighting against Goro.

I honestly just find funny the thought that a character from a E-rated (mild cartoon violence) series won a brutal battle against a character from an M-rated (Blood and Gore, Intense Violence) series.
And if you made his ability No Guard instead of Guts, he could have opened the battle with dynamic punch, which, along with the other powerful moves guaranteed to inflict status conditions, is notoriously inaccurate. No guard, at the cost that his opponent's moves can't miss either, solves that.
Tbf it's not like goro could hurt machamp much, so there was very little danger with no guard
