The most brutal part of the fight was when Storm killed Korra in the Avatar state. Which means, the Avatar cycle had ended and Raava is dead.
I think Korra basically ended the cycle herself anyways in season 2 of her show.
@@Flarisif I recall right, it wasn't ended as much as restarted. Just as Wan was before, she's the new first in the cycle once she rejoined with the spirit.
If I remember right, Raava would just reincarnate as long her opposite lives. So basically it's just no more Avatar cycle.

I love that this whole thing started because Korra destroyed an iceberg.😂 This was a pretty intense fight, actually. The choreography was incredible too. Definitely one of my favorites. And it's another reason why Storm will always be my favorite X-man.

Everyone says this episode is bad, no, the matchup is bad, the episode is good.
Exactly. Korra never stood a chance. Storm is even stronger in the comics now. But the animation was great, especially with the little nods to the cartoons.

1. This matchup had zero debate, that was like Spiderman vs Godzilla.
2. Storm's thighs save lives.
A wish it was like homelander vs omniman or gojo vs makima, one sided stomps are much better when they are actually shown as one sided.

Haven't watched korra in awhile does she not know blood bending? Couldnt she just stop her heart or control her body with that or am i missing something? Blood bending plus avatar state i think you could kill any human like being instantly.

Also storm doesn't need to move to use her powers so blood bending wouldn't really help.. if Korra tried she would just get hit by lightning or something so even with blood bending Korra would have no chance

Kind of an odd pick for one of these "fight only" videos.
It's visually a treat and got some cool moments, sure (Storm's monologue in the Spirit World is one of my favorite character moments in the show), but this is definitely one of those ones where the stellar character rundowns make the episode.

Death Battle, you're great. But I gotta say, it's wild how you clearly love the Avatar franchise to bits and yet manage to make every single episode involving it mid at best (strictly on entertainment value).

I know storm is Omega level mutant but it's just hilarious to think that she can defeat Korra easily especially when they have similarities in powers the Only difference is storm is Mutant and Korra is human.
@@handey1being human and mutant is far from the only difference between them. Storm has beaten far more powerful and deadly enemies than Korra, sbe would beat her easily because she has no counters.

Now imagine if Korra and Storm just hung out and became friends with each other. Storm can definitely relate to the struggles Korra has to deal with being a protector of world peace like the Avatar.
It’s the other side of the Death Battle coin. Goku and Superman would spar, but be friends. Wonder Woman and Thor would have a healthy punchy rivalry friendship. Storm, as an educator, would do everything in her power to nurture Korra while telling her like it is. But it’s Death Battle. So they kill. 😓
And then sometimes Frieza kills Megatron while Sweet Tooth and Joker explode.
Ah yes, that time Death Battle didn't want to do Korra vs Rey because it was toxic or whatever, so they just slaughtered Korra with Storm because that's...better somehow?

In terms of elemental usage this is a more sensible matchup.
Because Death Battle wants to see worlds burn.
Honestly even if you take the elemental super woman of color concept, there is just no way this isn't a stomp when one is a comic book character. Basically is an automatic win against anything with a single stpryline, like how toon based gag characters trump all of reality as long as it is funny

i don't think it would have delsin is kind of nuts and out speeds korra by a massive amounts combine that with his ability to turn in elements he kind of stomps

This fight is SERIOUSLY underrated. I really like it! Also, Korra awakening Raava is the highlight for me.
While far from one of the standouts of Season 8, this is still a pretty well done fight. The visuals look stunning, the characterization (for the most part) is done well, and the track is one of the most underrated instrumental tracks in the show. Though it isn’t without its problems. Such as how, to make it seem like Korra stands even the slightest chance, they make Storm only hit her three times or how from what I’ve heard, Korra acts more like her season 1 throughout the fight. Though aside from those complaints, this battle is still a pretty solid entry from one of the best seasons of the show.
I wonder if they'll do Korra vs Delsin now that InFamous has finally entered DB.

That was utterly satisfying. Korra was a victim of bad writing, but still nice to see a much better character just wreck her.

@@Keith_Norman Looking it over she gets about 4 hits in and spends the rest of the time trying not to die. Storm doesn't get that many hits in, because the animation makes sure to show how massive the divide in outright power is when Storm actually tries.

A master of elements vs a Goddess could only have one outcome. Storm helped terraform Mars, and has, but rarely uses, magic. Ororo is just on a completely different level.
I remember this one extremely well like show of hands, who went into this one with the knowledge that Korra was screwed from the start like the moment that this got announced after Akuma VS Shao Khan? I am going to guess everyone as that also includes myself.
