She has an insane perception for pronunciation, even though she's still working on her grammar, she always keeps her accent in check, it's crazy

The best duo
Yuqi's english is insane. Combined with her already deep voice, it just goes EVEN deeper. Not to mention the fluency--she's not afraid to touch upon some deeper topics. And she normally doesn't do the english speaking for the group, so to hear her do so for 30+ minutes is really nice.
Minnie, normally the designated English speaker--super nice to hear her speak outside of the normal idol prepped speeches. Demonstrates her fluency, but also goes into her more normal, daily thoughts.

God I was sooo impressed by YUQI's confidence about having great English. "Just by studying, me and Minnie never been abroad. never attend to any international school. But we're doing good job".
Yeah right? I also admire her attitude and her way of thinking. Sheโs super positive and confident in whatever she does. She never shied away from learning new things, especially things like languages where you shouldnโt be afraid to speak because thatโs how you improve the most. Thatโs some real healthy mindset right there.

this was so fun!!!!! us international fans wanna avoid asking idols to speak in english because we dont wanna make them uncomfortable but watching them without needing subtitles is so refreshing. i hope the rest of the group could come some time too!!! eric gives the most interesting questions that bring out the member's personality more.
So true! I really appreciate Eric and Dive Studios for all the English interviews. There are so many great shows in Korean as well but it's really comfortable listening to some of your favorite artists without needing subtitles. I don't mind reading subtitles but sometimes it can be draining. Just chilling on the couch and listening while being able to do other stuff is really a luxury. ๐

Even though minnie sounds cleaner when she speaks English, she speaks carefully like sheโs thinking it through in her head, but she never says anything wrong. Yuqi still has a bit of Chinese accent, and sometimes something comes out a bit wrong but she never says the wrong thing and it sounds so natural

Their English is crazy good. A lot better than most, if not all, of the idols who have no prior time abroad in English-speaking countries. They have no problem understanding the questions and replying with relevant answers. Even groups like Itzy and Blackpink have fluent or native members to help with immersion. I'm honestly floored by their comprehension and ease. Apparently English really is about confidence lol.
I am impressed too, not being in an English speaking school/ collage, not living abroad but still learning English so quickly and being able to speak so well in casual conversation is incredibly impressive.
It is probably a bit easier that they both began learning English at the same time and can practice with each other.

THEY'RE THE BEST GIRL GROUP SO UNIQUE
All K-pops need to learn English because itโs a major language now so that all of us can speak and understand each other very well.
I've seen them live last year in Frankfurt, Germany for the first time. I remember being impressed by the power their performances had and the unique singing and rapping styles by each member. I didn"t know anything about them except their songs Lost and Dahlia and now, one year later they are my number one female K-Pop group alongside with another musical powerhouse called Mamamoo. I wish the very best to (G)-Idle and hope they'll continue to make awesome music for a very long time.

This might sound rare but Iโve been following I-DLE since debut and this is the first time I see Yuqi as a person.
In general I feel idols as alternative persons who are not in touch with real life, like they live on a bubble apart from world. But idk if its how the โinterviewโsโ format or hearing Yuqi talking in English so I understand her, but feels like sheโs really a normal girl. It is probably bc this is not like these korean stereotyped shows that make them do silly things and stupid games to please korean public, and with this format I see Yuqi as how she really is.
Thank you for loving Yuqi and understanding her. Did you know that a foreign idol who debuted in Korea is often despised by K-netizens, especially the China-line. As recently, the China and Taiwan issue has nothing to do with K-netizens, they still try to make it difficult for Yuqi. You should see her in Keep Running. That show made me like Yuqi as a person. She's more comfortable in speaking in her own language and it makes her more interesting.

I understand Korean and whenever I come across Korean comments, they're always gushing about her (and I watch pretty much every video I can find on them on YT and always check the comments). They're just generally sensitive to China for multiple political and cultural reasons so things are tense whenever these issues are brought up but they don't hate her as a person.
