Charlie's lines are some of my favorite in the show, my absolute favorite being "I too am from a large, moneyful family"
They all have a gimmick that sends me over the edge, and you're right, Charlie's inconsistent vocabulary is what always gives me the unexpected laugh! Now, I'll take that advice into cooperation.
My favorite Charlie quote is in "when the gang solves the gas crisis". And they were trying to blackmail the gas station attendant. And Mac says they're gonna "hit him where it hurts" and Charlie blurts out "your Dick", to it Which mac says "no dude his wallet"

The lawyer is such a great character. The actor really executes his lines flawlessly. He just gets better as the show goes on but don’t challenge him to a duel.
I've noticed that absolutely normal people usually make it through interactions with the gang unphased, but the lawyer plays along the slightest bit with them and it just keeps their lives entangled.
"YOU CAN'T READ IT FROM THE OUTSIDE!" Gets me every time.
I always make sure to turn on the Coors sign..lmfao
The best thing is that the producers didn’t overdo the dyslexia or illiteracy so when it came into the story it was hilarious

the funniest (unintended fan theory) illiteracy joke in the entire show is the mailroom, where Charlie presumably thought that Pennsylvania or Philadelphia was a name, Pepe Silvia
Dunno how many times it needs to be said but that was never the intended joke for that scene. That's literally just a fan theory

Why do people insist on this being the case? It’s an amusing fan theory, but Mac literally confirms (seconds after Charlie’s rant) that “not only do *all* these people exist (Pepe Silvia, Carole, etc), but they have been asking for their mail on a daily basis”.

Dennis is a world-class straightman. That thing he does with his hairline when Charlie says something really stupid is insane.
Dealing with late onset dyslexia, I feel Charlie's pain on a different level. I used to be able to read really well until later on.
I never noticed Mac trying not to cover up laughing when Charlie argues with the lawyer..I don’t know how they work with Charlie Day without laughing all the time
Watch some of the blooper reels. Jimmy Simpson (Liam McPoyle) makes them laugh probably more than anyone else.
