A hummingbird would be cool! Like using a smaller doll build with the bright vibrant colors that would be so cool. Theres also so many types of hummingbirds with different accents like fancy tails like spatuletails or the like.. iridescent-ness of their feathers

I know it wasn’t the intention, but I love that you chose the tulle fabric not only because it was super cute, but it looks like she found fishnet, added shells and buried treasures and made it a cute outfit!!! This is an old video, so you probably won’t see this comment, but I really love this doll!!!

Maybe the weird arms can be part of her lore? Prostetics are usually made to look like the skin tone of the original limb right? I think an amputee doll would be cool (for another doll that comes missing a limb or two).

A gargoyle doll with larger wings would be absolutely adorable- As an added suggestion, maybe they could wear traditional Victorian clothing, corset and all!!!

Coming back to this gorgeous doll a year later, I have to admit to being somewhat sad that she never got a unique name like most of your customizations. She's so colorful and distinctive that it feels like she deserves one, you know? I keep wanting to call her Luminesa, because she's a bio-luminescent deep sea creature.

A harpy doll would be interesting! Especially if you took the approach where the arms are the wings instead of having the wings on the back

Watching the box progressively get smaller over the years. Idk it makes me happy and sad that one day the series will end but also look at how far it’s come. I wonder if one day she will customize he kids used toys

I think you got my old sirena von boo doll. I sadly had to abandon all my dolls when I moved houses five years ago. She looked exactly as mine did. If it's true thank you for giving her a better life. It makes me feel better to know that she didn't end up in a landfill. Hopefully everyone watches your videos has had a doll that you probably got and gave new life. You are amazing and I love your work! Hopefully you have a good day/night and hopefully you are getting enough rest cause of the baby.

I'd love to see Dollightful's spin on a parrot doll, I own a parrot and he's so fluffy and derpy that it'd be a cute doll no doubt, that and I noticed she doesn't often work with any kind of feather-like material so it'd be cool to see how she'd manage it if she decided to use feathers and not fake fur.

I agree with someone else, a gryphon would be really cool to see! And for “real” animals, a red fox would be super nice in your style.
But this doll is really stunning, I love the palette and vibe

I think a barn owl would be really cool to see. Or just an owl in general. I imagine an owl doll as either a keeper of books on the mystic arts, or perhaps a magic user herself. Covered in runes and delicacies 🤷‍♀️

Also, to quickly throw in my animal suggestion: how about a griffon? It would definitely be a doll that would require more modifications and extra sculpting, but I'd be curious to see how Katherine would pull it off if this idea was chose, especially since griffons are quadrupeds. Maybe it could be a masculine or androgynous doll? Idk, we'll just have to see :)

I like the idea of a kitsune (fox person with multiple tails) there are a lot of ways people can be really creative with the information given to us from different cultures

I love rewatching dollightful videos because I get all excited to the the finished doll all over again!!

Imagine a chimera doll! Two heads would be a hell of a project but i bet with Katherine’s skills it would be amazing!

As for the next animal, I'd love to see your take on:
-Siberian tiger! Fluffy and winter-themed, definitely seeing hand warmers and luxurious coats in my mind.
-Sphinx! The transition from lion to humanoid would be super interesting. Plus, some Sphinxes have wings!
-Kirin! There's a ton of different designs for them, the mix of scales, fur, horse-like, dragon-like, and deer-like traits would be a fun challenge.
-Any type of bird! I'd love to see your take on articulated wing-arms, making use of things like sculpted feathers? Like the wing-hands that people draw cartoon birds with.

The sequins definitely made the eyes, and I love the bubble braids!

I feel like this doll is a redemption Nova. They have very similar color schemes, you see? She's just gorgeous, and I love that you explore different styles through dolls just based on what you have on hand. As for the next stock box... how about a minotaur? Those big cow sweeties don't get enough love!

One of the things I love about Dollightfull is that she always cites her sources. Whether it's an inspiration from Instagram, the tutorial where she learned her solution or whatever else, it's just nice that she gives credit to the community and resources for us.

I love the texture the acryllics gave her! Made her feel like living coral, very cool!

You should totally make a bird character next! I've yet to see a doll custom with a beak or feather hair!
Not only that, but there are just as many different beak types as there are different shaped horns and just as many feather textures as there are hair textures!
It's like uncharted territory that definitely may pose a challenge, but will open up a whole new way to custom dolls!

I think a fox or kitsune character would be really cool and would fit the theme of more mythical animals as well(Idk if you've already done this before), though if you do decide to do this I would imagine getting all those tails into such a small area would be difficult.

The idea of a mermaid who goes to music festivals (and raves it feels like, with that hair) is such a great concept since mermaids are so traditionally associated with music. This is just a fantastic character idea and it's incredible to me that you went in without it fully concepted from the start and it still came out so strong. She's wonderful!

Sirens were known to have beautiful voices, so the idea of her dressing up for a music festival, specifically to perform, really works!

I think an axolotl-themed doll would be so unique!! They’re such funky little creatures too, like straight out of a folktale, and I think they’d fit the fantastical theme you’ve got going on so far! :D

A peacock, it can make a beautifully dramatic doll, and I’m pretty sure none of us will care if you give a girl the pretty feathers. There’s also the option of albino peacocks, and those are usually female and gorgeous!!
I think it’d be cool to make a gender less peacock though.

Personally, I'd love to see a spider based doll that isn't a spooky halloween-themed project. Spiders can be really pretty sometimes, and I feel like this art style would be perfect for showing that!

If I ever get my hands on a Sirena doll, I'm definitely taking inspiration from this video. Although maybe a more fiery colour palette would also work? I'm thinking the end of the tail can look like a crazy flame OvO

As a snake lover and owner I’d have to suggest a snake!! There’s ton of varieties of snakes out there all with interesting patterns and color schemes.
Snakes are also popular in mythological terms with countless snake based monsters like Medusa and Jörmungandr to name a couple.
It’d also be fun to experiment with a lack of limbs (even thought you could totally still make a snake character with limbs, like Medusa).

I think a Gargoyle would look pretty crazy!! Doesn’t have to be dull colors either!!

sirena von boo was always one of my favourites. she was definetly my favourite doll and i played with her all the time. i especially liked her wrist bracelets and how they had strings that drooped down all the way to the bottom of her tail

I think my favorite part is how complimentary the two female mermaid dolls you have are. This one is definitely a deep sea rave mermaid and the other is a coral reef type of gal. Its really awesome how much they lend to the imagination when paired together.

I think another fun idea that would really incorporate your love of adding trinkets to your projects would be making a doll with the theme of a crow behind it. That would really give you a chance to play with the different kinds of trinkets. You could add lots of different things and just have a lot of fun with it!

If you feel like leaning into Japanese mythology, I'd love to see you tackle a doll that features a mythological creature like Kitsune, Yokai, Oni, Tanuki, Kappa, etc! I think your take on any of them would be really neat!

An animal with distinct facial markings, such as a panda, raccoon, or cheetah, would make for a great stock box! It’d be interesting how you interpret those markings. Plus, for panda or cheetah at least, you can get influence from the cultures of people who live in their habitats

I think an extra pop of complimentary color would look good, like orange for the sash to make it pop. It could look like red kelp. Other wise, the eyes were ingenious, definitely my favorite that you’ve ever done! You’re great at making up new and fun ideas.

The animal that comes to mind for me is a fox, specifically a 'cross fox', which is a type of melanistic red fox that has a very striking color palette that I think you could have some fun with. Either that, or something like a pleco, because that would be amazing.

I'd love to see a snow leopard doll, I think that would be super rad!! Also LOVE how this doll turned out, the sequin eyes are absolutely gorgeous!!!

A possum doll would be really cool!!! They are underrated animals who do a lot of work for our ecosystem - also I think it’s super cute how they play dead if they get scared and they have a really unique look to them :)

It might just be me... but I want a Snail doll! It's something creative and unique, plus Snails are so fascinating (to me).
Also (just a suggestion) but I've been craving another Steampunk doll! Anything with the tiny gears, or a metallic palette! So, a factory-made animal could be cool!
P.S: The doll was so beautiful! Totally that creature that lurks down in the abyss that is the ocean, but also knows how to throw a killer party!!
