This is the opposite of the Rapidly decaying world that you've seen other big channels make videos on. We custom coded this so that it would be amazing.

It’s crazy seeing how here, he gave up on the nether because he ran out of food, yet now, he got all of his blaze rods on half a heart with no food WHILE being hunted by 4 players

Imagine starving to death in a firey hell, surrounded by unbreakable material, unable to enter the one thing that can save you as you sit next to it. You thirst for the exit, though you aren't abided by law to enter. The bedrock won't allow you to, and you sit there as you slowly starve, dying away in a hot, dry, hellish place, surrounded by extremely dense rock.

I feel like the bedrock generation is a bit too fast for this to be feasible. Might just be because I'm bad, but I feel like it's a bit too fast.
Cryo i agree. it would be cooler if it was slower. or if it was EXTREMELY slow but got exponentially quicker, it would be a cool multi-part series

Too slow would be too easy, and too fast is impossible they have to find the perfect balance

This is the first challenge that legit seems impossible but dream and George could probably beat it if they thought everything through. It’s basically a race against time lmao
It is impossible tho by the time they make it to the stronghold and portol room there's no way it'll be untouched atleast one block that they need to get in the end would be covered and they can't win

You're forced to live a nomadic life style and constantly move, you'll have to stockpile ender eyess, find a stronghol and hope that the portal doesn't get completely covered
Since it only fill air, the best way to stop yourself getting trapped is to have a bubble underground which you backfill as you dig

Player 3 is R.N.G, You have to be lucky and hope the next bedrock placement is not stopping you from moving.
@@Sinchu9 Notice how quickly the nether got filled up once they got there though, looks like the plugin plays catch up with unloaded chunks once they get loaded. So doesn't really look like there'd be enough time between loading the chunk and finding the portal room for things to be much better

idk, i guess it just irritates me sometimes when Dream does all these amazing Minecraft tricks, and when you watch them for the first time you think "Wow, thats amazing!", but its been a thing inside the game for a long time and nobody notices it until they see Dream mentioning this topic.

I think the only way Dream could've conceivably saved that is if he threw his items (blaze powder specifically) into the lit portal, died, respawned in the overworld, and came back to the portal in the overworld to get the blaze powder. Would've still been hell to find enough ender pearls, but it works on paper.
Based on what George did after he died, I think they had to do it without dying

I laughed when I heard George scream when he was on fire XD
This shows perfectly how things like herd immunity work. If already 40% of the space is unusable, it's basically game over because it gets prohibitively difficult to actually progress anywhere. If there were none of those straight lines that are clear, the video would have ended even sooner haha.
But this would be interesting to see again now that the team size has grown and there is new experience... but the progression of the bedrock needs to be slower as well... like at least 2x slower if not more, because yeah... at 35%+ it's game over basically.
This is giving me an intense feeling of anxiety and hopelessness

This was a really interesting challenge! I'd be interested to see it again with a couple of rule changes:
1) as others have said, decrease the spawn rate
2) bedrock can replace air or _any_ destructible block, not _just_ air
no it should only replace blocks, not air
Thta would be horrible, it would be able to break nether portal and end portal
@@soupchewer9213 -- End portals (both the frame blocks or actual portal) aren't destructible, so that wouldn't be a problem. The obsidian around nether portals is destructible, but that might make it more interesting, I think. They'd have to weigh the risk of their portal breaking against the time it would take to stockpile extra obsidian for backup portals.
Alternatively, if they don't like that idea, then they can simply change my rules slightly so that obsidian was a special-case exception, or that only air blocks and blocks which can be destroyed by TNT can be replaced with bedrock.
I seen this video back when it first came out, I had no idea Dream would get this successful
