Me coming back to this trilogy, honestly I don’t know why but it actually makes me shed a tear because these songs, Scream, Boca, and Odd Eye age like wine. Especially the latter two. Every single one deserved at least one win. These girls put out such a masterpiece. I don’t know if underrated is the correct word, maybe under appreciated, the trilogy as a whole is, in my opinion.

I think this song is about toxic positivity. They're saying that Utopia doesn't exist and to try to invent one just ignores the reality of hardship. It's important to look closer and see the problems so you can face them instead of pretending that everything can be perfect. They also said in the showcase that Utopia is something that you have to find within yourself. So maybe they mean that you can find happiness within and still recognize that sadness is part of life.

Remember that winning on shows isn't the only thing. I think Happyface / Dreamcatcher Co. are more interested in the growth of the group over the last couple years than they are in awards. Sure, awards would be nice, but I think their growth and success would be a much larger factor in their longevity.
Like Op said, their album sales has gone from 30k in 2019 to 100k in 2021. Their MV's have gone from getting 7 to 8 million views over a couple year span to getting more than 16 million in less than a week. They're finally getting invited to variety shows and, according to management, this is going to be a very busy year for them.
Their at the top of their game and their popularity has grown immensely over the last year or two, and it looks like it's just going to keep growing.
Win or no win, there's absolutely no reason for their company to give up on them and there are a ton of reasons to keep them going.
I'm just happy they're making enough money now to live well and don't have to get money from their parents. Yes, when Piri came out their parents were still helping them. Sua promised to buy her dad a car if this comeback goes well. Being a Kpop idol is no road to riches unless you're at the very top like Twice or BTS.

This MV is about how the media (represented by the TV, phone, & computer) is showing us fake comfort (represented by a mask chair). It tells us how a new world of hope but is an altered reality of despair.
Media shows us a lot of good things in life that makes us believe that there is a Utopia and this gives us hope. Even when we open our eyes, we see it as something good. According to the lyrics, it is a sorrow covered by light. It is a perfect illusion covering reality.
They sing about using our Odd Eye, a secretly hidden eye that sees beyond illusion. Because with how sophisticated this world is right now, anything can be deceiving. A smile can be a plausible lie overshadowed by sweetness. Even hope itself may may lead us to despair in the end.
We see Yoohyeon drink the cup of what she thought was wine but was actually poision. We see Gahyeon reach into the computer but ended up in flames. They give us fake hope but get hurt in the end when faced with the brutal reality of this cruel world. We are literally hurting ourselves like how Handong has her neck in her own hands. Let go of the remote (Siyeon) and stop looking for this fake Utopia (Sua/Jiu running away).
In the last chorus it tells us to close our eyes. So that we can't be fooled by the world's fake light. So that at least we choose to be in darkness than to chase something that doesn't exist.
Jiu has her eyes blindfolded with a bouquet in her hands for us to realize this. A Utopia is not something we must search for but is something we must make ourselves.

This song is perfect and the message of the song is very powerful. The music video's so cool and the acting is perfect. They're singing voices are insane and the dance coreography's incredible. The energy's amazing and they absoulutly killed it with the dance coreography. Best girlgroup ever
The visusals are stunning and i love the outfits they look absoulutly gorgerous. Love the girlpower vibe of Dreamcatcher's songs and the positive energy they have. Dreamcatcher's love for eachother, fans and music shows in everything they do they're real sunshines and super talented love these girls. Handong, Jiu, Dami and Gahyeon are my favourites here but they're all truly perfect.
For me odd eye means simply being different. Think of it as a coloboma or heterochromia. Something that makes you unique and beautiful yet people will treat you different for it. Scream was a (modern) witch hunt, Boca was about how bullying affects us, Odd Eye is about why these things happen to us. Look deeper, don't believe what others tell you. You aren't ugly, nasty, unworthy of love. You are beautiful and unique. Turn your individuality not only into a distinguishing feature but also into a strength. DC is different from other girl groups, they aren't cute or sexy, they are horror. Neither is wrong but people keep on telling them as long as they have the horror concept they'll never be successful. People say it's their fault for standing out. They should blend in and hide their originality. I disagree. If you are what society wants you to be that's fine. If you are different that's also fine. What's not fine is hurting people for being either. Your hurtful words from your BOCA can bully people and create a witch hunt which will make them SCREAM on the inside because they are an ODD EYE.
