Yoohyeon’s part broke me especially since I put myself in Gahyeon’s shoes. I have a group of friends who I consider my brothers/sisters and I’m the youngest and always get babied by them. I still remember the time seeing one of the goofiest energetic person in our group cry and it broke me because that was something I’ve never seen and thought I’d never see. Also felt useless in that moment because I was always been the one to be helped but I was just frozen, shocked and crying too.

So we all know Dami rarely shows emotion and that’s not a bad thing. But when I saw the thumbnail and the look on her face, I knew SOMETHING was going down. I had no idea it was going to be as emotional as it was. A few observations: I’ve never seen Dami’s face react with so much emotion centered around pain. Yoohyeon’s crying for a parent was very real so no one, not a soul should be in this comment section calling this fake. And the hug Gahyeon was so ready to give was the sweetest thing, I love our Maknae she is so full of pure love. And I do have to laugh (because she is me) at Dongie immediately tearing up. Seriously though…that’s me. Just now and in most situations. I love these girls. Second video in a row from them that’s made me cry. Dami’s mv for her pup….😭😭😭 they’re freaking killing me.

Hypnosis can be bad for people with trauma. Certain images can trigger painful memories. I like that this hypnotist guy had her speak directly to her father in her mind, to help her calm and give her some peace and closure. He didn't try to force the past life regression, he let her process what she needed to.

I don't watch any other groups reality shows, so I might be wrong, but I think DCC really goes somewhere where no other company would dare to go to in regards to the contents of the series. At least from the snippets of something like Time to Twice or BlackPink House that I've seen, it always seemed to me that these shows are all about being funny and entertaining and making the idols look all cute - the usual stuff. Yet here, you enter DCM and it's like Handong shouting in complete fear, Yoohyeon bursting into tears and sobbing in grief (taking all the insomnias with her)... I really truly deeply appreciate DCC and DC members for producing such a raw show. Just makes me so proud for being a fan of a group that is real and is not afraid to show it.

Growing up is just a constant reminder that you wont have your parent like others do

I cried so hard for Yoohyeon. That would've been so hard for her to re-experience that traumatic memory, especially under hypnosis. The fact that she not only shared it with the other members, who are like a family to her, but to also all of us fans, even though she didn't have to allow that footage to be shared, just shows how strong and powerful she is as an idol, a woman and as a human being.
She trusted herself to share that information with all of us, showing how big her heart really is, and that she has a lot of love to give, and deserves all of the love, patience, understanding and care back that we InSomnias can give her. We all love you so much Yoohyeon. You are a truly incredible person, and thank you so much for being so strong. It can't have been easy for you at all. I know I cried my eyes out like a baby, and I'm sure every InSomnia did too.

I feel that we shouldn't make ourselves to comfortable here. Yoohyeon just shared some of her personal life with us. She is a singer that is beloved by everyone but while we do love her as a singer we should respect her as one. I hope she doesn't open weverse or even look on Twitter and add see people talking about her dad. She is not our friend, we do not know her outside of being a singer that is part of a group that has brought us Joy. She just shared something that is very personal, We must respect her and not bring up her dad at all. she does not need to be reminded of it.
We need to be respectful to the idols like Yoohyeon in a way. There are fans that try to get to close to an idol and I'm afraid people will overstep boundaries and keep bringing up her father. We love her yes, and she provides us with a cheerful demeanor and makes us feel welcome. However we don't really know her outside a few things including what was seen in the video, she is not our friend. She is an artist that we love and we should respect her as one and not constantly bring up her lost to sympathize with her and get close to her, that may hurt her if it happens too much. She can understand english so imagine opening weverse, opening V-app to do a live and see posts and live chats mentioning your father, that would be depressing for anyone. Idols are marketed that way, to be accessable to us and interact with us yes but at the end of the day they are human just as us and they have lives. We need to remember that we are fans not friends. She is a singer that is in another country from most of us, so we can not act like we know her. We can acknowledge her loss and we can feel sad for her because losing a loved one is terrible but we do not need to keep reminding yoohyeon of her loss. As someone who's been part of the hypnosis scenario, even if just passively, I can understand how deep and hard must be for Yoohyeon to deal with her pain. She grieves her father even after such long time, even after being successful in some way. This type of hypnosis brings you back to the more important place your subconscious must be, where you really need to be inside you mind. The wound in Yoohyeon may be one of the deepest, and it's obviously a very hard to heal one. The fact that she got pulled for that specific scenario in that specific way shows how much scared and wounded is her inner child. She'll need time to heal, and I hope she gets enough space to deal with this burst of information she just got.

I tried holding my tears but I just cried-

When I started getting treatment for my PTSD, I tried hypnosis as well and the exact same thing happened to me. Hypnosis basically means that you're switching off your conscious mind and are completely immersed in your subconscious. When you're in that state and the first thing that happens is you start crying, it essentially means you're in pain 24/7 and you never really got a chance to grieve and cope and that's how it got buried this deep. You never really dealt with your sorrow and sadness, you just somehow got used to it and started living with it like that. Poor Yoohyeon has been suffering every day for over a decade. In a way I think it's good that she had this hypnosis experience, even if it was painful for her. Knowing the problem is the first step to solving it. Knowing Dreamcatcher and their whole staff being like a family, it's good to know she won't be alone with this. I hope she'll feel better soon. 💗
