My roommate said literally 2 days ago, "What's stopping them from brewing splash potions of instant damage? They do 6 hearts of unavoidable damage." Man, he's gonna be so pleased to watch it when he wakes up.

as everyone knows, the best counter to a smart trap is spamming a potion attack that has been banned in PVP on most servers for years because it can instakill someone with full diamond.
@Jonas Grill I was just making a comment that that tactic should be banned from the manhunts, because it is SO ABUSABLE. It would make the PVP dull, boring, short, and just flat out unfair. Yes, it was very clever from the team, but they can’t use it again. I don’t think they will, because hopefully they recognize the level of power it has, but it is ridiculous.

Ngl Ant’s been carrying the last few games. Last game he mined them full iron at the start and then later full enchanted diamond. This time he had the winning potions.
Not really.... Antfrost contributed just as much as the rest of the group because they are given roles and they make plans on what everyone will do. The mining was just what Ant ended up doing, and the potions were given to him and that was the job he was assigned to.

This extreme amount of variety and detail in the game mechanics is what's so great about Minecraft. I heard there was going to be a movie, and I think, that it could be really great, if the screenwriters are invested and interested in the project.

you can just tell how much the hunters are improving. especially sapnap. he does not back down from fighting dream. he’s the one hunter who can for sure take dream down in 1v1. yeah ant may have gotten dream in the end but you gotta admit that the two pvp battles that dream and sapnap had were so intense.

@@trippymartian8847 yeah Dream talked about it in one of the extra scenes videos after a manhunt and said they banned a bunch of things to avoid stuff that kinda ruins it. Stuff like breaking the portal, damage pots, Dream’s fireworks, nether travel are cool the first time they use them but after that if they keep using them it just becomes dumb. It’d mean that Dream has to win before the hunters get Insta damage pots and find him, and if they break the portal so that Dream has to die to leave, it’s like an insta win for the hunters and it doesn’t make for interesting content.

Edit: I just re-read my comment from 2 months ago and I should clarify that thats all just me speculating. I dint know why I said fireworks tho, as it is possible to counter them. But the Insta damage pots there’s nothing in minecraft that can save you if it hits you.
@@JordynNexus you can counter fireworks? and you can counter 3 insta damage 2 pots with 3x prot 4 or 4x prot 3, or potion of turtle master but all of those are pretty hard to get so yea (and it leaves you with 1 or 2 hearts)
Tip to kill a witch and get a potion: Hit it first and it should start to drink a health potion and then finish killing it while it's drinking the health potion. It should drop the potion.

I love that Dream is able to acknoledge when his friends played well, praises them for good game plays/strategies, and isn't mean or mad when he loses after a good fight.
He's confident and believes in himself, but at the same time he's realistic. That makes a huge difference.

Instant damage can be mitigated in exactly three ways
-Armor with the Protection enchantment
-Potion of the Turtle Master
-Resistance from Gapples
(Technically resistance beacons would work but somehow I doubt that anyone will be able to get a beacon up during manhunt)

For those of you who didn't understand what "Mushrooming The Portal" was or why he couldn't go through it, if you grow a red mushroom using bonemeal, it grows a large red mushroom. Where the Mushroom Grows, it deletes the blocks the mushroom grows into. The mechanic is used to delete end portal frames (like they did in this manhunt to disable it) to make sand duplicators or dragon egg duplicator. It is also used to trap the wither in an end gateway by deleting the gateway

@@some_shitposting_idiot3023 I actually think they'd have to ban the use of damage potions for the series to go on, they can kill you way too quickly and there's no reliable countermeasure. Since Dream is at such a massive disadvantage to begin with, it's only a matter of time when the hunters become unstoppable. They've got more room for improvement, you know? More potential.

@@lred1383 I wouldn't say so. Dream hasn't yet mastered the necessary strategies to maximize his chance of victory. I think he can still evolve to the point of being capable of withstanding a 1v5, but that should indeed be his limit by this point...
Bruh did they seriously not mention the underlava fight with sapnap. They made it even more dramatic by trapping them with obsidian. One of my favorite moments in manhunt by far.

Fun fact: the instant damage potion does the same damage with a full Netherite set and without one, so Dream would die anyway...
protection is the only thing that stops damage from potions of harming, and even then they are good. Full prot 4 will make Insta DMG 2 deal 3(?) hearts of damage. Imagine that... Full P4 netherite can get down to 1 heart with 3 pots... Its insanity

@@mitchclark8848 Nonthey shouldnt, it took time and effort to make it happen, and they are pretty easy to dodge if you are expecting them and are not in a closed space... like a pyramid or something. But who would ever be stupid enough to follow a guy thats trying to murder you into a tight enclosed space like that...
