The hunters could’ve said something like “Cyan Wool” and Dream would’ve had like 421 thoughts in his mind to beat them.
he would probably think of something like they have one less slot in their inventory for something else if they tried to tower that one block of wool will take up more space then if they had dirt so if i tower and tell george that the wool is actually purple it will confuse him long enough for me to hit him off the tower and then ant will have to grab his things leaving himself wide open for attack sapnap or bad still trying to get george’s things will keep on picking up the wool and have less time and space for the armor and weapons and if i kill sapnap first then bad and ant will be forced to retreat and i can kill one of them and burn the rest of their things

I realized that in a lot of the manhunts, how Dream managed to clutch the game was because of George revealing important information unnecessarily or killing his own teammate to give Dream the ender pearl he needed to win.
Plot Twist : George is Dream"s undercover agent who works for him and sabotages the hunters

It's not that hard to think in less than a second, but your thoughts won't be very clear and concise, you won't be verbally thinking. It's more like a flurry of impressions, images, feelings and ideas.
He probably saw Sapnap dead, then quickly the image of the bed not having been properly defended from came to his head, which had the implication of them all having likely taken damage even if only one had died, he understood he could surprise them and had the best chance of getting out of that situation, and attacked.
I'm putting this into words, but try to imagine this as a sequence of feelings and impressions and images. Sees Sapnap dead, image of bad bed protection, therefore image of low health, image of himself attacking, feeling good about his chances. Boom, attack.

I feel like he is underrated,from the manhunts he was recently in,he seemed to play aggressive alot unlike the others,in the second temple i think,(i dont remember which one) when George and bbh was poling up,ant was going aggressive trying to hit dream even tho he was kinda low i think

Well, that is kinda true though. Since he can just restart when he got killed early, those weird decision doesn't matter to him at all, which is definitely an unfair advantage. I find it very funny that a good amount of Dream's plans and ideas stem from George narrating what's happening to him
The Nether fortress achievement not showing up for a bit might just be a delay issue but it could also be a matter of what's actually considered the fortress and what isn't? Because the achievement only popped up once Dream set foot on the middle part of the fortress, not the platform. I haven't tested the theory, but maybe the game doesn't entirely register the platform as the fortress like it does the main tunnels? Because the achievement is specific to entering the fortress, not stepping on nether brick [because you can make nether brick yourself] so the platform might be out of range of the region that gives the achievement.
That or it's just delayed lol

any platform made of the fortress brick that’s connected to the fortress actually triggers the achievement, as shown in a few other of dream’s videos, so i think it was just some lag (which happens with achievements/advancements sometimes because it’s one more thing for the software to register)

What we (I) learned:
1. manhunt has a grace period where, if Dream were to be killed really early on, they reset and try again on a new world
2. the cobblestone table was a result of multiple thought processes being involved in a multi-car pileup.
3. there's even more luck involved than what we notice.
Always figured there would be a grace period where if they get him too fast, no point in using the video.
As Dream said though, that puts him at an advantage making ballsy plays, and make for insane content like surviving the TNT with a god apple.

Now every time i watch a new manhunt, I'll know he can't die in the first few minutes or so, because otherwise this wouldn't be a video. So now it won't be anywhere near as intense. Sad.
There's actually one video, I think it's the Speedrunner vs 3 Hunters GRAND FINALE (I'm not sure), where at the beggining he says something like: minecraft speedruner vs 3 hunters grand finale, no more rematches, "no redos", this is it. So I kinda realized about the grace period thingy. And also as Dream said, I also heard it from one of his livestreams.
@@dusknco It's less he can't die, and more of he can't be killed. They can still wound him and he can still take damage. Which makes for interesting plays later on. Though, I too would one day like to see a montage of failed (successful?) manhunts.

hitmen is just running manhunt is actually doing something instead just looking at a man running is kinda boring but still cool to watch but manhunt 100% better

The reason why at 12:48 it didn't trigger right away is because if I recall, most advancements that detect the player based on location such as biomes, structures specifically. They do a check about every 20 ticks in game to actually check if the player is in those locations. Since the "inside" of hte fortress is only one block tall on the top of those rooms, you probrably jumped at the right moment before the check was made, delaying it. Server lag can also causes the check to make it inconsistent

The hunters could’ve said something like “Cyan Wool” and Dream would’ve had like 421 thoughts in his mind to beat them.
The fact that Dream picked up on George saying "my flint and steel broke" and devised this master plot based on that is absolutely insane. Only Dream would do this.

He was really lucky. Later in the video he runs into this broken nether portals in the surface and opens a chest in it. The chest had like 3 things in it, and that included two flint and steel in a perfect condition right next to each other. That means that both or at least one of those flint and steel were from them, and they decided to leave it there for extra inventory space.

About that unknown health status you mentioned to be one of the most interesting parts of this Manhunt series I as viewer can confirm that. Obviously everyone of you are highly skilled in PVP which makes thinking processes quite funny in my opinion. The more skilled a player gets the more they think about their attack approaches and stuff like that which is of course a key reason why you are that good. So there comes my mind in here. Imagine someone would be just good at landing good hits at the enemy without thinking too much about armor, health (even their own one) and so on, I would think this person would be much more of a threat in Manhunt than your hunters are now. Basically a mad man berserk like player. I really think this would be the perfect counter to you.

antfrost is really quiet, but he's really smart. his playing style is aggressive but also calculative. his desert temple kamikaze was ingenious, and it would've worked if dream didn't have the god apple(s). his bed strat in the nether was extremely powerful, and it really tested dream. he was my favorite hunter in the whole manhunt, and now that he streams on twitch, i get to see him a lot more.
*EDIT* : in the end, ant kept dying bc of how aggressively he played. his aggression balances the carefulness of the other hunters and creates a good balance.
I like how he rivals Dream and catches him off guard with risky plays. The rest of the hunters don't take many risks and watch until the moment strikes. Ant goes in completely and takes the first step to attack but is also cautious about his plays. A very good addition to the manhunt indeed.

to me he's like the only hunter who has truly understood the whole spirit of the manhunt: kill Dream, no matter what.
like it makes sense playing safe cause you don't wanna lose your stuff etc, but with how much time Dream spends usually in the Nether alone, you could gather a lot of extra resourses and prepare backup armor etc, set your respawn point anywhere you want, AND (but this is arguable) take risks even in fight. I elaborate
They do not know his health and he doesn't know theirs, but they can die, while he cannot, and they are also four against one.
Imagine the scenario: something big just happened, and there are all 5 of them in a closed space; Dream could be low, maybe 3 hearts, maybe 4, maybe 6 or 8, they do not know, but for what they know it could be all of them (and not really you could analyze a bit the situation and what happened and take a small guess), and the chance that he is low is there and shouldn't be ignored under any circumstance. We've seen dozen of times Dream taking out all hunters while on 2-3 hearts just because he was smart and taking advantage of their natural ignorance about his health.. but again they are four, and Dream shamelessly admits that he cannot kill all four of them when they are all together against him, thus (in my opinion) it wouldn't be that bad of an idea trying to actually deal damage to him, but like full 100% commit to hit like you were SURE he was extremely low. Cause the odds are very simple: either he is, and then he's dead, or he isn't and you probably die, but sure you dealt some damage to him and there are still three other people there to kill him.
idk I'd probably be a bad hunter but I don't see this need of playing it super safe and also them being so afraid of just fighting him. Like the only real fight (like a fight where they do not spend 70% of the time running away) we ever got was in this video when Sapnap 1v1ed Dream but only because he had max prot on his armor which sound ridiculous..
yes he got destroyed theorically in that duel by Dream, since Dream hit him like 4 times with a crit and he was only able to hit Dream I think once, but that was him alone against him, think about how different that would be if there were 4 of them, fighting him like death machines that had nothing to lose.
I'm just very glad we get to see Antfrost being part of these manhunts cause it really changes the whole story
Now that this video explained things for me to understand, I didn't actually thought that it was Ant due to his voice being so low that I can't hear it very well and just thought that it might be Sapnap as their voice can be very similar for some cases but yes, he actually did very clever as a hunter and I could only feel bad for him being the tank as well as taking the place as the sacrifice for the other hunters to play in 😂😂 I have seen other plays where I laugh at Ant as he's always being abused by those who surrounds him such as the dragon throwing him away in the end whereas Dream swings his swords beneath the dragon and other moments where he just keeps dying at risks 🤣

I like how if Dream's health was capped at 9 hearts instead of 10, he would have lost every single manhunt.
Not necessarily true, due to the butterfly effect, he would’ve killed the hunters more often. You’d need a bit by bit breakdown to really tell.

Possibly, it's also possible that he would be that much more careful to account for the change. If he died at one heart, and somehow forgot that every time, that would be true. Of course, he would win less, given that it would be quite the disadvantage.

Manhunt tip: Did you know that if you eat a gapple, there is a waiting time for the effect, meaning you can just hold the gapple for as fast as you can so even if you don't have full health, you can still make them think you REALLY ate the gapple while you still have the one you "Fake" eated.
