The way they showed it is silly, but chips actually do make a great firestarter. They're full of oil and burn for a long enough time to start other kindling around them.
Yes! You can also open a beer with paper... But it's still dumb because there are so many other things that are easier to use; a lighter, a key, or just a counter top and your hand. But I digress.

When I was a student in elementary school in China, all schools had to abolish physical punishment due to child protection law being changed to modern standards. So teachers had established other forms of punishment such as writing a word 1000 times or writing your name 1000 times. And guess what, the hack that glues 2 pens together has saved my little soul. And, in fact, I glued 4 pens together at maximum to cheat the punishment and it later became a popular technique used by children in my school when they get punished to write meaningless stuff.
I had that punishment as a kid too. Parents made me wrote "I will respect my parents " 1000 times. Long story short, it didn't instill respect

Why use sellotape? Just make paper maché, It's much faster and more effective
Even when they show a life hack that’s actually possible like opening a bottle with a tightly folded paper, they do it so wrong they have to fake it. It’s doable, but completely impossible if you do it the way they were holding it.
How do you do it properly?
@@hollystar311 you basically just keep folding it until you physically cant anymore and then you use the "v" of the fold to push under the lip of the cap and pray it works
@@hollystar311 side note: instead of wasting time on the paper, just find a ledge to anything (ive done counters, benches, coolers, tables, etc), hook the underside of the cap on it and slam down on the top to pop it off.
@@unfriendlyghost Yeah, dont do it this way. It works, sure, but there is a real chance to take the upper glas "ring" thingy of the bottle off. That means sharp edges and potentially shards in your drink.
Just use any kind of lever. Spoon, knife, ruler, folded paper...

I'm an engineering student. In my engineering college some dude's dad bought him expensive gloves that were supposed to allow him to use his phone while wearing the gloves. They didn't work. I bought regular wool gloves for about a dollar and a half (100 rupees) and used the foil to get my phone to work with it.

Chips are a great fire starter because of all the oil in them. The last time I went camping, I needed to start a fire to cook on in the rain. All
the wood was wet but using chips i was able to get a fire going hot enough to dry off twigs to get the fire started.

I went to school in the 90's and I had a CD player wired up that way (headphones up my sleeve) The trick is finding wired headphone that are designed to curl around the back of the ear, THEN there's a C-shaped "Clip" to hold the earphone on the cuff, and always match the hoodie color to the headphone color... THEN the trick is you really can't use it for lectures but it's perfect for when you're suposed to be doing homework, I was listening to punk rock all through highschool.
