The first time I heard this was 11 years ago. I cried because of a situation I was in, and was battling with alcoholism as a poor coping mechanism. But when I watched the video I sobbed, uncontrollably from my soul... friends used to joke I was like Cupid, because I used to set people up on dates and match people well enough that a lot of my friends ended up marrying the blind dates I set up. I was happy for them, but also shattered in a way, because it’s so hard to see everyone else happy with people you matched them with, when the choice you’ve made literally makes you feel like you’re drowning every day, and nobody sees the pain you’re in. This video still makes me cry.

Going into 2023 and this is still one of his best songs 🫶

I will never forget that i was listening to this song when i was depressed and thinking to commit suicide. It’s been 6 years and i’m just thinking how many incredibles memories and life opportunities i would have missed.Stay strong everything will be alright

why does ed sheerans voice feel like home

i can still vividly remember how it felt to hear this song for the first time. i used to listen to this constantly. i re-discovered it for myself after so long just yesterday. now, at age 26, a week before my wedding, i’m listening to this masterpiece again. the pain that i get when i was a teenager listening to this isn’t the same I feel now hearing it in 2023. Time really does change a lot. Many of the emotions this songs evokes for me now are the same but… somehow very different. I love that. I love Es Sheeran.

My theory of the story behind this is...

but they instead fell in love in someone else
she wondered and shot anyone around. she did go to the party to find someone..but since all of her attempts were failed she just go home and stab her self instead cause she thought that the only one who would love her is her self..and at the ending, the arrow disappeared because the love found her instead of her finding love.
