Carl Fredricksen trains Dug at home when he gets a phone call and answers it to hear that it is from Ms. Meyers, an elder who lives at the nursing home, and Alpha (now named Beta) who declares his love for his new home. After Dug has a conversation with Beta, Carl speaks with Ms. Meyers again and agrees to something, only to immediately regret it after hanging up the phone. Carl reveals to Dug that he just agreed to go on a date with her. He is nervous as he has not been with anyone since Ellie passed away and does not know what to do. Dug makes suggestions on what to do, most of which involves dog related things. Carl decides to go out and get some things to prepare for his date.
Carl buys numerous boxes of chocolate and tries to get some flowers from his garden. He has a practice dance with Dug as well as a practice dinner afterwards. Carl then dyes his hair black, which confuses Dug. When Carl attempts to call Ms. Meyers to call off the date, Dug wrestles the phone away from him, destroying it in the process, and tells Carl that he should go on the date and not worry as Ms. Meyers will love him. Carl relaxes and gets himself ready. Dug then offers to go along as backup and Carl agrees. Before leaving, Carl speaks to Ellie's photo and tells her that he is going on a new adventure, and that she will always be his girl. - 음악

@@popsingerstar Absolutely true the same way if I were to pass away I would want my wife to learn to love again now I don't mean Emily after I die then I'm gonna haunt her but if I find out 4567 years after I pass away That she's dating somebody new you will be guaranteed that I will do whatever I can to make that relationship work and I will destroy anybody that gets in the way of her happiness
I’m proud that they’re showing this side of love. Sometimes the person you love leaves before your time comes. It doesn’t mean you love the previous person any less, you’re just sharing that love with another person. I’m sure Ellie wouldn’t want him to feel lonely and unloved for the rest of his life.

And all the people getting butt hurt about what he's doing haven't really watched the movie you know the whole message of moving on living your life and learning that you need to grow app and actually be there for other people Carl literally says you will always be my girl Ellie so I really doubt he's gonna automatically go to the jewelry store to put a ring on this gross finger just after this video ends plus we don't know what they actually do And like I am estable before he is a literal adult but he does is not of our dam business
i was kinda worry that knowing how disney is, it was gonna be absolute trash. it's not really off the walls amazing like the movie but it's not something terrible they made and as a short film, it doesnt overstayed the welcome. it's concise and have a beautiful message too.
do you even bother understand why people are pissed when it was announced? dude moving on is not something like carl going "welp let's go find another" seconds after the movie ended. if this was half assed and carl going on a dating spree, people would not like it. it's not really that deep and i dunno why you have a tantrum about a character like he is an actual person.🤔@@sammywilliam8156

I agree, Even though Carl's heart will always belong to Ellie. She most likely would've wanted him to move on, And at Carl's age it might seem a little too late for that. But the truth is you're never too old to find love again.
She left a note in a adventure book, it say "Thanks For The Adventures, You Can Now Finds A New One -Ellie"

This was a pretty enjoyable short film, And in my opinion a fitting conclusion to the UP franchise!

This came out on the same time slot that Dad stated that I’m the kind of guy that doesn’t learn from mistakes! It came out last June!
This movie is so odd to me im not saying the concept is bad its totally normal as iv seen cases from my family too
The thing i find odd is that the type of character they showed carl to be in the movie "up" made an impression that he was so fixated and in love with ellie even to go as far as to complete their list. That it seemed like he couldn't love anyone else just ellie and her alone and the completing their dream was his way of moving on. And now that this came up it seems kinda odd to me

This is fine I guess but I feel like Carl loved and always will love ellie and him moving on and dating another lady doesn’t make sense and undermines the whole reason Up happened in the first place 😭😭
But wasnt the main message of life that you always have to keep living? No matter whats happened or what situation you're in, you have to find new adventures. I see this as him finding a new adventure like Ellie always wanted
