The new editing style definitely represents Emma’s headspace and mood. They borrow from still life and Tend to shoot Emma at a distance, rather than in a hand-held vlog style. and while there’s humour, the removal of silly video distortions definitely makes it seem drier, calmer and slice of life. Emma’s new videos feel like foggy weather.

I've literally had that exact conversation with my mom about the weather and productivity. I feel like when it's sunny outside, I'm supposed to be doing all these different things which ends up making me feel bad if I dont achieve those unrealistic expectations BUT when it's cloudy the world feels so much calmer and I can do things at my own pace
Yes!! i also get super depressed in the summer because there's all these expectations for summer time, like to be doing tons of stuff and having fun with friends. I'm always so glad when its over

if you're looking for a change, i think moving to somewhere like seattle would be good for you! downtown seattle is kinda like LA where there is alot of city life and stuff, but on the outskirts its really calm and refreshing (?) it is a lot foggier and overcast but in the summer there is still sunshine. based on your recent videos and also podcast episodes it kinda seems like you're trapped in LA (which can be toxic and not good for your mental health and stuff) but I am just a viewer and don't know what life is like for you outside of social media. nonetheless, if you're looking to move, consider washington :)

Try it! It’s incredibly liberating. I would start at the beach first. You feel less like a zoo animal as everyone is busy doing their own thing to notice. You can also distract yourself with reading, tanning or swimming. I had this mindset before but when I hit 23 I stopped giving a F lmao
