The fact that Emma made a 12 minute video narrating her soup making experience and it was still stimulating is astounding

This film style that Emma has begun to utilize is so peaceful. Her journey from more up beat and choppy videos to more documentary style has been so mature and impressive. This new style of hers is why we have been able to maintain interest in her videos as we grow up, as we have grown Emma’s slower, more zoomed and fluid filming style has grown too. We have all begun to feel a sense of nostalgia and comfort with her videos and I’m loving it.

I rewatch Emma’s last 20 vlogs all the time, the content is so easy, calming and beautiful to me 🤍

Someone said she’s an incredibly private person pretending to be an open book and I can’t stop thinking about that

This is an incredibly beautiful candid video. I imagine her putting out videos like this must be nerve-wracking but I totally loved it. The honesty, straightforwardness of it kept me watching all the way through.

I think the reason why watching Emma is so calming is because she doesn’t try to be hype. She just is, and it makes me feel like it’s okay to just be. And that’s enough

this is the most entertaining sht ive ever watched. Emma's voice is just so calming and i never thought i would be THIS interested in soups.

I hope this isn't annoying to say, BUT be soooo careful blending really hot liquids, they expand and the blender can literally explode. If you open the little pour vent on the top you should be fine. Also, the soup looks phenom, 10/10, will be trying.

there was something extra comforting and peaceful about this video with showing how you were trying to formulate this recipe-free soup while also talking about the trials and errors of learning to cook. i loved it

I am happy you have discovered the joy in cooking. With fresh ingredients, experiment and care, the food we make ourselves can be absolutely amazing. Indeed, there are diversions that don't work out perfectly, but those are the lessons.

I don't know why but this video literally made my eyes tear up. I'm going tru a depressive episode and living by yourself can make cooking seem like a whole ordeal. For me it feels impossible. But seeing Emma cooking and sharing her inspirational and joy, made me feel so happy and comforted. Inspired as well! I think I'm going to cook something for myself today, as an act of self love :) hope everyone has a good day today, and thank u Emma for making my day so much better 🥰

FOR ANYONE WONDERING WHERE EMMA IS⬇️⁉️
Emma talked about it in her podcast (Anything Goes) that she feels burnt out by the amount of pressure she has to make weekly videos. She’s been doing KRplus consistently since she was 16 …which is quite a long time if you ask me. The pressure has taken a toll on her mental health (depression & anxiety) and till she feels there’s a way to deal with KRplus in a more healthier way (without putting so much pressure on herself and feeling like she needs to record all the time) she is taking time off. Whether it takes days, weeks, months, years. This is understandable. It happens to a lot of KRplusrs where the pressure takes a huge toll on their mental health. She talked about always feeling like she needed to be happy so her viewers would be happy. That if she was sad or depressed she would cause her viewers to as well feel the same. Or how she would as well have to look good or look a certain way for her videos. But when it comes to her podcast she feels more comfortable being honest about her mental health, more vulnerable, she doesn’t have to look good to be on camera, how she could do it from the comfort of her own bed. She basically didn’t want to feel like she was lying about her happiness & mental health by acting like everything was okay on camera. Nor did she want to record her low times and makes us feel sad.
I think it’s best we support her decision, DO NOT pressure her to come back soon, she needs this. Allow her to heal, take her time, and focus on her. She is still doing her podcasts (Anything Goes) and working on her Coffee Business. The best we could do is show her love and support her.
Thank you for taking a break Emma, you need it. Do not rush the healing process, and do not worry about us. True supporters will understand. Mental health always comes first. 🤍

I am just happy that she is one of those rich kiddies that actually uses the giant kitchen she has..so many dim influencers flex with their luxury apartments but never cook in these fancy kitchens, while so many people who love cooking sit in micro apartments.

you know what i realized from this video? It really showed how our thoughts Really can devour us, especially if those thought are negative. When Emma was talking about how nervous she was about the potatoes and peas not being cooked well enough, but in the video she was just calm..? Like she was verbally speaking about what was going on in her mind, and that really got into her but if she hadn’t spoken about it, we would just think shes cooking calmly…. Idk where im going with this but ugh life’s crazy.

I don't normally comment under KRplus videos but I thought this one deserves an exception: this video was so wholesome and as someone who just recently moved abroad to live alone for the very first time I too now have this newfound love for food and cooking. It's been a rocky road and making mistakes is easy and demoralising but improving is so satisfying and the excitement mentioned in the video is very much so felt by me too. I found this video so lovely, relaxing, calming and warm. Idk how to describe it. It truly calmed me down and put a genuine smile on my face. This was a very beautiful little snippet of what adulting has felt like for me and I loved it. I really did.

Parmesan has VERY low lactose content so typically lactose intolerant people can eat it and be okay... also try boiling the rind of the parmesan in the soup it gives such a good cheesy flavor! also you could try blending the peas and also make that part of the base of the soup to make it greener and give it a thicker texture.

It’s actually crazy being one of the people that have been here since her first few videos. I remember watching her school routine when she was 16 and I’ve been subbed ever since. I remember when she had 200k subs. When only me and my friend knew about her and we kept it on the DL so the whole school wouldn’t be talking about her. But eventually she blew up and we were like WOAH

Hear me out Emma. Peel the potatoes. Keeping the skin on is fine for frying, roasting and baking but not necessarily soups because it gives it an earthy flavour. Make more broth liquid this time and put the potatoes in the broth so it can absorb the flavour and the starch can thicken the broth. Take out potatoes 3/4 of the way done and put broth in blender. Add a couple of potatoes (and peas if you want) in the blender with the broth and then blend. This will give the broth more body. Add broth back into pot, add your almost done potatoes that you took out earlier, and add your peas and cook until peas and potatoes are done.

I love how Emma rates these dishes. Like I do that in my head probably but her saying it out loud is everything lol

this video shouldn't have been as hilarious as it was. Her editing and dry humor is unmatched!

The soup looks delicious and I’m proud of you for making it. Just a suggestion being that I am a chef, you might consider these things to make the soup base look more green. First, training like a quarter cup of the peas that you were putting in the soup into the blender and blending it. If it’s still not green enough, you might add a leaf or two of baby spinach. This will add color without competing with the flavor of the basil, shallot and garlic.

Hey Emma, I just finished listening to your most recent podcast episode and wanted to come here and tell you something. I’ve been watching your videos since day one. And since then, I’ve always felt like a parent watching my daughters channel. And just like parents have to realize with kids is that nothing will last forever. What I mean by that is this channel has always felt like a chapter of you. And no matter how long this chapter lasts, everyone who watches your videos will be here and remember you always when it’s over. What I am trying to say is that you need to take as much time as you need for yourself, even if that means never returning to KRplus. We all love and adore you and are so incredibly proud of the successful woman you have become and will continue to be. So Emma, please focus on things that are fulfilling right now, because what’s important is that you are proud of what you are doing. And if you are proud of your creations, then we will obviously love them because they are a reflection of you.

I keep coming back to watch this amazing masterpiece of a vlog/soup based short film and I can't believe I haven't tried making the $17 basel potato peas soup yet. Will comeback to leave my review when I do so.
