Emma is a very similar age to me and I recently felt this shift similar to her content.. there is a sense of peace, an appreciation of little daily rituals, a softness.. everybody thinks the teenage years are so wild and crazy but when you get to a certain time I think it really calms

2021 was the year of realizing things for you, and I love that. the self reflection and self awareness I see in your recent content is so impressive for a 20 year old. im 25 and I only started to have these skills recently. if you have a therapist and im sure they are very proud of you! Whenever you have fresh herbs that are gonna go bad, put them in a dehydrator or the oven on low for a few hours. Throw them in a glass jar or a baggie and BOOM dried herbs. Dehydrators are good for excess fruit too. Add them to granola, yogurt, cereal, or a ton of other foods **Obvi Emma wont see this, but if anyone else watching has the same aversion to buying fresh herbs cause they go to waste.

I go to film school and emma's edits absolutely blow my mind. I dont even know if its intentional but the way she edits her talking so it briefly does not line up and emma in the future is talking over emma in the present without her mouth moving. It's hypnotic and entrancing. Also that shot of the cortado with the slice of light in the background at 2:42 deserves an oscar.

I see people describe Emma’s new approach to things as softer, more peaceful, more calm. Truly I think it’s those things, but that sounds so languid and passive to me! To me, this approach to things seems vibrant! More seeing, more precise, more clear, more murky! Either way it goes, it seems so deliberate and powerful!

Hey Emma! As a barista, I’d suggest not shaking/moving your warming pitcher as much when you’re steaming your milk. Start with the steaming wand at the bottom of your pitcher, and then slowly move the pitcher away until you hear a soft hissing sound sort of like paper ripping. Hold it there for about 3 seconds, or up to 8 if you want something closer to cappuccino foam. Your cortado looked amazing today, you are definitely a barista in the making!

her vlogs give me “video diaries of the last person on earth” vibes but in a comforting, nostalgic way

I love to see the shift in Emma’s videos (with thumbnails, titles ect.) from big letters and challenges and kind of video ideas (like STAYING IN MY HOUSE FOR 24 HOURS) to more calm and ”idealess” titles and thumbnails. One word, picture and no idea what the video is about, but all the videos are so enjoyable and entertaining and calming, so you don’t have to worry wether or not you’ll watch the whole video.
Emma’s videos don’t make me insecure of my daily life and simplistic daily rituals what most don’t appreciate or mention, she instead makes me more inspired to do these. She appreciates. She doesn’t have anything in particular to do, like as she said that she doesn’t need to run an errand (or does but it’s just getting gas and sometimes going to the grocery store) like these aesthetic vloggers do, getting their nails done and getting haircuts. It’s (for me) unrealistic and makes me feel broke or lazy, not getting my nails done monthly and getting my hair cut and dyed every few months. Emma doesn’t either, and I love her for that.
