The Engadget classification of the different BCI technologies is a bit off, as BrainGate is definitly invasive in the same way as Neuralink. It uses the Utah array which has up to 96 needles that penetrate the cortex up to 1.5 mm.

@@brendywatson Nicolelis with his group was first. They did that years ago. Neuralink's system is based on Nicoleli's work. NeuroRestore did that last year. This is nothing new. It is just hype because Space Karen's company did it and because Space Karen gave so cool (empty) promises, what it can do.

If a man of 60yr age,what he has learnt for 60yr,,, when he would die,then his brain would stored and then it put/implant in a New born baby, so that,this baby already get a 60yr Brain,so that Baby don't need to learn again that things(which is stored in that 60yeared Brain)... So that, after grow up that Baby don't need to learn that things, and he/she would learn New things.. So when he/she would die in 60yr age,but his/her brain would be 120yr.. Then continuously go on, so that we could hyper-advance within few decades/years...
So that after 100yr, my/our grand children will get 200 yeared Brain at 60yr age...

To describe Elon as "the world's most prolific hype architect" is about what I'd expect from a dude with fingernails painted different colors.

Because the dude is a snake oil salesman. Charges people 12k for level 5 self driving that he promised all the way back in 2013, and it has yet to come to fruition. Cybertruck years late, and still hasn't even really released outside of a handful (less than 100 trucks). Responsible for hundreds of animal deaths. Destroyed Twitter's value. In 2011 said he'd put a man on Mars in 10 years. Remember the robot he unveiled and said it would be available "next year" and everyone will have one. Tesla's have poor construction and QC, and there have been over 200 Tesla fires, 80 of which resulted in deaths. Contrast to the 70s and the Pinto was responsible for 27 fire deaths over the course of 7 years, people have been talking about this for 50 years. Ford paid dearly for that both in reputation and nearly a billion dollars in loses from recalling all Pintos. Literally blood on his hands, and he has zero accountability. Not to mention all the govt subsidies his companies have received. Could really go on and on. The media doesn't have to make him look bad, just do some research and you'll see he does a pretty good job of it himself.

@@RobC1999 I mean it's true, Elon musk does build hype - he is his own advert for most of his stuff. On a sidenote though Elon has a tendency to say something will happen soon and then it doesn't happen.
Nigo and Virgil abloh are more hype architects.
So, just to be clear, you have no new information to share, you are just summarizing the past research by other groups and retweeting what Elon Musk posted.
