- HBO Max's ‘Sex and The City’ revival, ‘And Just Like That,’ has released its first footage. The new teaser features Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis as well as an intimate scene between Carrie and Big, played by Chris Noth. Former ‘Sex and The City’ star Kim Cattrall will not be returning for the show, but there are new faces joining the cast including Sara Ramirez, Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury and Karen Pittman. Earlier this month, Pittman spoke to ET about what to expect in the revival.

I am glad to see a diversity on tv now, but I also see a lot of it not being genuine. You can see the hypocrisy from many companies that are including people of color, just trying to be part of the “ in crowd “ . . I’m like “ just don’t “ 😝

Sorry to bring this up, but I just heard that Willie a.k.a. Stanford died three days ago! ... Pancreatic cancer. Things went very fast. How horrible for his family and friends to loose that lovely man at only 57, yet alone for his son, who's still underaged, if I remember correctly. Rest in peace. 🕊️

You mean NY wasn't diverse back in the 90s or the makers particularly didn't want it that way back then ???
It's more realistic to keep SATC as it was and just admit that not all friends groups are diverse, rather than slapping some people of color in the show just for the sake of doing it. Maybe the writers didn't to add POC to the show as main characters because they were not in the novel by Candice Bushnell which was based on her real life. If you happen to watch RHONY Candice Bushnell's was on the show at a dinner party in the Hampton's, it was not a diverse group of people. It was wealthy white people. lmao. It would be better if HBO to just found some excellent novels with a more diverse characters, to reflect current times and create a new and fresh great show about nyc with a different group. instead of beating a dead horse with SATC. imo. :)

"The show promises to be very reflective of the diverse and inclusive nature of New York City today." Makes it seem like diversity in NYC is recent development when really, it was the representation that was lacking.
What was lacking? It was a show about 4 white women...EVERYTHING doesn't have to be about Race . Was Family matters, what's happening, Sanford and son, the Cosby show, about white people? So over the pandering and virtue signaling

If this is the same concept like the show, with it being all about Carrie, then they haven't "grow(n) up" at all. In your 50s, you should be wise and not showing the same issues you had in your 30s. Not excited about this. They should have left this show alone...js

There was a lot to like and a lot not to like. Miranda’s storyline really bothered me because it totally destroyed her character’s ending in the first movie, when Steve had cheated on her, they separated for a while, then the two of them each realized that they wanted to work it and they met on the Brooklyn bridge - happy ending. For her to end up hating her life, her marriage, and becoming an alcoholic was just…a real bummer. 🙁

She and Smith went their separate ways in the last movie. That story line was completed.
They did try to bring Kim back. She said 'no'.

Has anyone seen this? I’m watching it now on HBO Max. She used this platform to express how so righteous she was/is over Kim Canttrall. Either she is really desperate for her forgiveness. Or she feels overwhelmingly guilty. Wrong play! They should have said she relocated to London & left it at that! You can feel the hate.

The original series is one of my favorite shows ever so I'm looking forward for this reboot but I want to point out something a bit off subject, I always hear about inclusion in American productions but hardly ever hear of any native American representation in the whole entertainment industry which is strange being them the original hosts in that country, and please enlight me if i'm wrong but I really hope that changes in the future.
Because if you've been to America you'll realize how much the construction of the USA has destroyed so much Native Americans population to be point they have become the minority of the minority in their own stolen country.
The have native Americans in the reboot of Dexter New Blood.

While I absolutely loved the role of Samantha Jones, I am excited to see the hew characters and what they bring to the table that's ew and fresh. I have a feeling it could be even better.
It was a moment in time that can't be rebooted and the movies were terrible, things should be left as they were because they were perfect and can only go downhill.

Apparently Sarah Jessica Parker was not very nice to Kim Cattrall during the filming of Sex and the City. Knowing this I feel that some are glorifying this bully.
That’s hear say. No one knows what went on there. They were all terrific at their jobs and I will miss Samantha immensely, but that doesn’t stop me from welcoming the other 3 back with open arms! I can’t believe SJP would be a bully to a co star of her show. She’s been a pro since she was a child.

NYC is diverse superficially but you’d be surprised how racially homogeneous it actually is at the core, especially when it comes to class.

So their doing a revival of a beloved show and changing the entire dynamic of it for 10 episodes after 20+years?? What is MPK thinking giving us 10 episode of a different dynamic storyline. Where does this leave the viewers well as a viewer let me say this IM CONFUSED MPK!!! What in earth were you thinking, unless your trying for a new extended series I see no point in doing any of the new characters and storylines of people the audience do not know for the sake of diversity. Just my opinion only.

Too many reveals. Definitely not keen on any of the new faces. Despite that intentionally chosen scene in clip, the character of Samantha will be missed by SATC fans in this version. That’s for sure!

I have read that some people are bothered by the fact that these actresses are looking and are in fact older. It is what it is and you out there that have an issue with 'Boomers being portrayed in movies then you will have to endure our stories a bit longer because we are one of the most densely populated generations. For those anti-'Boomers I was under the impression you were an inclusive bunch that march for acceptance and cancel anyone who isn't being fair to humankind, however, throw a few over 50 actresses in a movie and the witch hunt begins!
They're too worried about "checking the boxes" to make things right! Ridiculous! I can't help but wonder that it sounds like that was the only reason why they did this!!

Here we go w/token minorities again. Let’s hope it doesn’t ruin the original flavor of the series. Which was diverse, by the way. Dr Robert Leeds(very hot/handsome black character), Stanford (much loved gay friendly) Smith (hot 15 year younger boyfriend to Samantha), etc. If these new characters appear “forced” to meet some political agenda, it won’t work. Audiences will sense this and lose interest. No matter their ethnic backgrounds.
Looking forward to seeing Samantha stoke another big city heatwave!
This was the best show in it's day, BUT THAT DAY HAS LONG GONE. I imagine they re-boot old shows because they run out of new ideas? Or that they think they can replicate the days of old when this show was in it's PRIME! But alas, the re-boots never work. And nobody wants to see Cynthia Nixon with gray hair and pretending to be straight. Sorry, SATC re-boot is not going to fly!! I have no interest at all, and I was a loyal fan for years.

I loved this show but I wasn't crazy about the movies. Hopefully they can bring in more LGBTQ+ characters and storylines in the revival.
First movie was pretty great really, felt like a true extension of the show. Second movie felt very...out of place.
