The rumors circulated after the two talked about their past mutual crush on one another during the 'Friends' reunion special that aired on HBO Max. During the joint interview with her ‘Morning Show’ co-star Reese Witherspoon, the 54-year-old actress addresses those rumors and also reacts to their recent Emmy nominations for the special. Reese, who guest-starred on the iconic sitcom, chimes in to share the impact ‘Friends’ had on her life. Saying you had a crush on someone while in your 20s doesn't mean you'd date that person in your 40s. How many people have you had a crush on that you wouldn't date today? They had a crush on each other very early in the show; however, nothing ever became of their mutual attraction. Eventually they settled into being coworkers for 8 more years and that relationship developed into a deep and meaningful friendship. It makes a lot of sense that she'd find dating rumors "buzzare" if they are based on a crush from 20 years ago.

I perfectly understand being a fan but you have to look at the reality, what happened in the reunion was about the past not today so now they are certainly a lot of friends and I think in the interview he meant that for her it is as if he were a brother 😊

Even their characters came to very non-public non-married relations, but deep each other private adoration IMHO. Everything might be. But what is important for us, as fans, we strongly should not intrude suggest them anything IF we really wish them real happy private sacred relations, despite "it is not" or "yes, it is". Would you show your private life for huge public attention? Constant paparazzi hunt and awkward situations with inadequate fans? I guess, no.
