I don’t care what anyone says, she’s a hero for putting her son before herself, and she carried Glee
I feel a parent shouldn't be considered a hero for saving their child. but in these days with how many absentee and abusive parents their are, being a decent parent is rare and ones who will do the ultimate this are heros. i wish the world was in a place where this was the normal and not considered heroic. Because for me the ideal of a hero should someone who puts their life on their line for strangers not those close to them.

It's never the case that you are able to do something that requires so much more energy and then when it comes to something requiring less somehow she is unable to do it. It's like saying you have enough energy to carry 300 pounds of rice up 20 steps and then you can't even carry 50 pounds up. Secondly she could have easily used the kids vest on herself and held onto the kid to gather enough energy and then swim back to the boat. The most plausible case is that the initial statement from the kid who said that the mom jumped off the boat without her vest and disappeared. I think they need to look into issues with her ex or ex's. It seems like the most plausible scenario

I wish news outlets would stop playing that clip of "If I Die Young" in every video. It's unnecessarily heartbreaking and kind of takes away from the fact that she sung it for Cory--not as some eerie sign or prophecy.

It’s so heartbreaking and hard to imagine her last moments trying to save her son and probably knowing she won’t make it but also praying he would be safe and found before anything happens to him.
It’s especially sad too that this might have been prevented with that life jacket that was on board. I’ve also thought about her last thoughts. It’s quite scary. Park your car and less than 3 hours later, your gone. Imagine her son alone on the boat waiting too. It’s so sad.

It's so eerie how 7 years prior of the day that Cory died she was found and on that episode of glee when she sang that song "if I die young" she sings "sink me in the river." So tragic really. The whole situation is just heartbreaking.

She died with honor and distinction in saving her son’s life at the cost of her own, there’s no greater love than those whom lay down their lives for others and she did, Naya chose to save her son at the risk of her life and I honor that and greatly respect that. Naya Rivera died a hero and with the utmost character, unwavering faithfulness that saved her son’s life.
I mean this in no way to insult her or disrespect her, she certainly is a hero. However most parents would do the exact same thing for their child. Any parent who wouldn't shouldn't be a parent.
I honestly feel like her son may have fallen off so she immediately jumped out of the boat to rescue Josie. Which would explain why the boat was never anchored and why she didn't wear a life vest. Probably didn't have the time to. She may have desperately helped him get on the boat and didn't have enough energy to get herself on the it.

Seeing Naha sing ‘landslide’ brings tears to my eyes. That rendition was the most memorable scene from the show for me. My heart is really heavy. There was so much more to give.
I hate all these conspiracy theories that insensitive people make. Didn’t it even occur to you guys that she might have had saved dear Josie from drowning as the little boy might have accidentally slipped from the boat??? That’s the only possible and sensible reason I can think of given that the boat was not anchored and she didn’t have a life vest. She must have panicked and jump right into the water to save her son, forgetting altogether wearing a life vest for herself and anchoring the boat.
What are the conspiracy theories? It is pretty clear that something happened that she drifted of and eventually didn’t have the energy to keep herself a float. Some people just don’t have the decency to leave things be.

While trying to keep up with the news about Naya's disappearance, I found myself re-watching some of "Santana's" best Glee scenes and performances. Even in the midst of this tragedy, I still found myself both laughing, (as she delivered the funniest lines with wit and comedic timing,) tearing up during her emotional scenes with such believability and just generally in awe of her during her performances.❤️Which is a testament to her God given talent.
She lost her life, tragically, yet in the way that most mom's would choose to--by saving the most precious thing in the world to her-- her young son.

This was a hard one for me. I’ve cried a lot these last few days. She was my favorite on Glee. It’s extremely heartbreaking how she died and the fact that she exhausted every last bit of energy she had left to save her son is indescribable. I think she might have gotten cold shock when she saved her son, she passed out, and her son couldn’t do anything. She was so amazing, especially the part she played in glee, Santana and Brittany helped so many people come out and be proud of who they are. She won’t be forgotten

1. Cory died July 13, 2013 and Naya was broken because she and Cory were really close friends.
2. Naya's body was found July 13, 2020, which was very upsetting to her friends and family & she died risking her life for her child

I swear every time I rewatch Glee, I cry more and more- rewatched the seasons after Cory and just finished the last episode again today from another rewatch. We don’t appreciate people enough until they are gone.

She did so much for so many... her work on glee has undoubtedly helped so many young people. And she was a fantastic mother

That last clip of her singing "If I Die Young" is haunting. She did a wonderful job with it, but i still can't wrap my head around the fact that she's no longer here with us.
And she sacrificed herself to save her son. It's heartbreaking to know that he's going to have to live without his mom for the rest of his life. 😭

2 years later and this still feels so unreal. She should still be here. She still had her whole life ahead of her 💔 I don’t know what happens to us when we die, but I hope that she is not alone or scared or just floating in darkness I hope whatever happened to her soul she’s happy and peaceful. she’s an angel now🥺 she is god, she is nature, she is the grass she is the trees she is the sky she’s everything and she is everywhere. Naya was such a big part of me discovering myself. Santana and Britney in Glee really guided me along my young teen years and led me to accepting myself. I still cant believe she’s gone. I don’t think I’m going to stop crying.

I honestly don’t like Glee but she was such an amazing woman, she died a hero she saved her baby boy. It shows that if a legend dies they are still going to be remembered as a hero.

Just so heartbroken from the loss of such a tremendously gifted and lovely person. We prayed and hoped that there was a chance she had survived. My deep sympathy to her dear son, her family and friends. We will never forget you, incredible Naya!

I can't explain how much hard this is to me. She was my favorite person on Glee, and her character help me so much in so many ways then i follow in love for the actress. I follow her on the instagram, and for so long i see her like she was the most beautiful woman in the world. All my love, and respect for this amazing person. With all my love, Rest in peace Naya.
