I'm actually happy for the girl who volunteer on the show, she looks quite happy to have some makeup tip, people helping her, and building in a way her confident. She was extremely beautiful when she smile and even after the result. But kinda disappoint me a bit when they Photoshop her, she looks different, like EVERY ulzzang girl you can Google [ some are different but they mostly they all look a like anyway]. And I find her quite beautiful, cute and more confident after the result, but when we were at the photoshop part, felt like either an encouragement for surgery to look like what they did to her, or forcing an image on to her. Honestly I would encourage any girls to embrace themselves WITH or WITHOUT makeup. And we're all beautiful in our own type of beauty.
honestly, the "vainness" of any culture is the same. people get judged based on attractiveness EVERYWHERE. the only thing different about korea is they're more honest about their looks and strive to level that ground through various ways. also, how is this any less vain than watching a makeup tutorial or a makeover show in america???? the answer is they're korean. good job proving yourselves racists
this makes me sad, because not only do they laugh at that girl, but they destroy her self-image. They take away her ability to take pride in herself and to love her natural self. If they want to make girls feel beautiful, they shouldn't tear down parts of them, but boost them up!

does anyone else feel like the girl in the middle should put a little less tear liner/white shimmer? i know that aegyo sal is pretty(and i like it too) but they way she does it makes it look like she's squinting really hard, plus her extended eyeliner wing adds to it. it's bothering me so much Dx and the girl in the peach shirt usually looks pretty but the downward wing doesn't really match her eyes :/
i'm shocked how the "pretty" girls think that they are much mooore pretty than the "ugly" girls. i mean they do photoshop which is totally okay for me but they change their face shape completely and they're proud of it.. how?!?
I think the point of photoshopping is just to tell her what parts she need to fix and how she will look like after fixing it, there's nothing wrong with it..

Just because they point out her flaws or do Photoshop doesn't necessarily mean that its a bad thing in Korea. It's their culture! Everywhere else has their own beauty standards but it doesn't mean that it's necessarily wrong.
astar012 I know Korean beauty standards very well. Do not misunderstand me, I like the style, but there are things that even his own doctors considered dangerous. They have an obsession with having Western features, be insanely thin and that is not right. I think this program diminishes self-esteem of women ... they are perfect as they are.
Why do you even bother photoshopping when they don't look SLIGHTLY like you do? Just use a picture of someone else, they all look the same in the end of editing the picture anyway lol
