Man, that trumpet! They should use trumpet more often. Jus' sayin'. It just fits so perfectly. Haunting, yet beautiful
agree!
Anyone know what key the trumpets in. Wanna get a trumpet hsut for this 🤣
👌🏾
The Trumpet Parts made this Song !
The twinned warbling of the trumpet and guitar reminds me of what my anxiety feels like. So gorgeous and eerie.
gave me goosebumps
100%
Their live performances are always so spot on 👌🏻🤘🏻
I feel like they always have better live performance mixes than when they record in the studio. Would love a remastered wildlife. Like they did for the the first record.
Either way, killer performance!
I actually haven’t heard a great live performance of husonville MI 1956
i love la dispute so much.
my ex passed away last year and today marks one year since the last pictures of her were taken there at her sisters wedding. she looks so beautiful and its impossible to tell how broken she was inside.
I feel very sorry for you and for her
I'm sending virtual hugs to you and hope you get well 💛💛💛💛💛
I wish I was able to express my love for this band as eloquently as Jordan writes
Can’t stop listening. That trumpet is real menacing
I've got goosebumps when trumpet part starts
The yelled emotion-laden vocals over the warbling of the trumpet. Oh, man. It perfectly conveys the underlying grief of the song.
i used to have severe anxiety. I swear the first part of the trumpet is exaclty what my panic attacks "sounded like". the first time i heard this song i cried. The feeling of trying to hold the panic and it coming back and hit you right in the head. That's what it sounds like to me. Thank you for this song
I saw them play in a strip mall in Camarillo, CA years ago and it was easily one of the best shows I've ever been to. Love these dudes and this newest one is great
dude I was there too! crushed up front but well worth it
One of the tightest bands going
This live recording is so much more feel as the original album record. Amazing work, amazing studio 🙏🏻
One of my favorite LD breakdowns
@Tom Myers La Dispute
They have been my favorite band for many years, since their first release and they still are, I adore their music, adore their energy. Nothing touches me like it!
didn't expect this trumpet. best shit I heard in a while, can't wait for the next show
Maybe it's just me, but I love the mix on this. It seems like the bass pops way more than the album version.
i loved this more than the original. you are 100% right
Same here! The vocals are so much clearer too. I like the new album but I find the mix hurts the real potency that I’m used to with la disputes albums.
I've listened to this on my TV, my phone, my phone with earphones, my PC with headphones and my PC with speakers and sub and I have to recommend wearing a good pair of headphones his voice really comes into the foreground, beautiful
Sounds so melancholic 😪
i dont like the trumpet normally, but this.. this is just on a whole nother level. it fits so perfectly. insanely beautifull
Am I crazy but do the vocals sound way clearer on these live tracks 💕 That was my biggest issue on the new album, I just felt his vocals were way too buried.
that´s Will Yip for you
@@valeriacastaneda8308 the video was engineered by Will Yip...
@@_ethanmc Nah it's definitely a Will Yip thing. I love his engineering for the instruments, but honest to god, his vocal mixing has ruined a few albums for me.
I 100% agree. The last two albums the vocals have been mixed too low for me. I prefer the mix on Wildlife.
@@strangebirdsir That was a perfect mix between vocals and all the instruments imo. Really surprised when I first heard the latest album since when they first released Fulton Street as their single, the mixing was fine.
Una joyita💕
Lifetimes live to die
For a moment in the turnaround
I was waiting in the car in drive
Watched you hurry on across the parking lot
Image of your life in your mind fades
And I could see an anxious strength in you
Brave the borne pain
Leaning by front door on your cell phone
Summer at the convalescent home
"Kill me by surprise, "
You said, "I don't want to stay alive
To watch the words go first like hers"
Lifetimes live to die
Lifetimes live to die
In the winter on the porch
In the window of the door
I watch in the kitchen with your notebook open
Frozen in the cold when I come back with wine
At the end of every long night
Take a moment you need to just breathe
Whole days in treatment plants
Aphasic patients, apraxia of speech
Weeks and months go by like this
We function on routines
We sleep, we eat, we read
We eat, we drink, we sleep
We keep her picture on the fridge
I keep a rabbit toy for kids
You give me strength to fix myself
I gave you tokens, toys, and gifts to help you grieve
You said, "Kill me by surprise, " again
"I don't want to stay alive
To watch the words go first like hers"
Winter, we huddled in anger
Spring, sadness sinking in
Summer, accept all departures
Then autumn, start again
Winter, we huddled in anger
Spring, sadness sinking in
Summer, accept all departures
Then autumn, start again
I drove around for hours
For gifts to help you heal
Memories we parted once the seasons of our grief
Rhodonite for stress relief
Promethazine for sleep
A rabbit toy for children
My deep condolences
Rhodonite for stress
Promethazine for sleep
A rabbit toy for kids
My deep condolences
Lifetimes live to die
so, so good
Hope to see you guys live again. You will always be my favorite band and speak to my soul. I wish I had this song when I lost my mom, it fits so perfectly
I was quite ecstatic about a La Dispute song with a (dedicated) trumpet part that I can play to. A year later and I still really appreciate the release of this studio live version. I do like the incorporation of the horn in this song.
Soooo amazing. I want nothing more in this world than to see them live
Omfg here from spotify to share the song. And.. videos. Thanks so much guys
MASTERPIECE
Great song. Immense album. What a band!
They're just so good. I've seen them live a few times and they always blow me away.
Thank you for this masterpiece
Sublime
So cool seeing Anays with them!
Sooo beautiful I swear 😩
Unbelievable stuff
Saw them shortly after this album dropped and it was just perfect. Can't wait for another La Dispute tour!
amazing!!!
So much love for this band - truly unique and interesting
Amazing! Just as always 😏
Amazing
Damn I love this thanks for uploading
Well done La Dispute
😍
Wa na. Ania na akung pinakadabest nga banda na sad! Orait.
💗💗💗
The trumpet parts were some pretty clever arrangement; the bright blare acts as a halfway point between the reserved melancholy of the guitar and the intense grief of the vocals. I also like that the singer uses subtle variations in pitch that, if sung, would nearly produce a functional (though simple) melody. All in all, this song is perfect.
Shut up dude, lmao
@@peniletouch why
Theses lives make me think that I didn't enjoy Panorama as I should have been.
This is good
Los amo mucho

great!) vocal tembre like vocalist of Rise Against
1:24 That fucking windows noise makes this entire session amazing
i just found out about this band today and i'm ashamed with myself why i didn't find them earlier
Wish they had done the rest of the album like this.
the album is stunning as it is. and it was recorded in this very room with the same producer. it’s their exact vision for what they all wanted it to be
Soooo fucking good
Mano, vsf, os cara são pika demais
Demais
Summer - accept all Departures
Is that a Royer ribbon on the horns? Nice.
Trumpet reminds me of Zelda twilight princess chasing skull kid in faron woods.
they sound better in studio live that in the album
The 14 people that disliked this I pray you understand
I pray they never do. Tragedy is a heavy hitter.

🍑🍑🤤🙏🏻
Placebo vocals be like
But when he shouts reminds me to Tim Mcilrath of Rise Against
What are placebo vocals?
Fish vocals from the band placebo
Wish they would work things out with Kevin to come back instead of settling for this session guitarist dude that doesn’t match LD’s energy or aesthetic...
they love working with him and that's all that matters. and who cares about aesthetics in music? this is one band that is 100 percent not about image remotely
Am I the only one who heard the N word in there? Like I know they didn't say it but...
who cares its just a word anyways
You must have confused anger with the N word I assume.
@@EdwardCletusKasidy no, I'm not upset about it
@@freeyourmind9997 nah. not "just a word" at all bro🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
@@taylorh4480 it literally is just a word. Save me the spiel about slavery, it’s frankly just sad at this point.
2:21 did he just make a racial slur?
