Im a die hard OSU fan but i believe dabo when he says its got nothing to do with the buckeyes and hes right games should matter, obviously this year is a 1 time thing but i agree 6 games isnt enough and its because playing more obviously has more upside, OSU is just not jelling on offense or defense and its because of not being able to play enough games.

If you only play 6 Games and everyone else around you played 10 Games that means they played 40% more of a season that should mean something. Ohio State should not be in the Top 4 because it Penalized all the teams who played more games. If Every Data Point counts then why didn't they count this year..

I can’t argue against him having a minimum threshold for the top 10. But he also does a lot of talking so it makes it hard to root for him. He has a great story too.
Not sure why all of a sudden everyone dislikes him. Everyone loved him for being the underdog coach beating bama, then all of a sudden everyone dislikes him after Clemson beat Ohio state last year. Maybe there is just a lot more Ohio state fans then I thought, although I do wish he stopped discrediting Ohio state, it’s getting repetitive!
@@alexh9363 people don’t like a loud big dog. You don’t have to do all that barking. Most great coaches don’t have as big of personalities. Plus he loves to talk his talk but want to shut up the players. I can go for that.

Ohio State has become the ultimate villain of college football through circumstances, not by anything they have done. They didn't ask to be delayed until other teams had already played half a season. They didn't ask to have 3 games cancelled due to Covid. And 2 of them weren't even their decision. They didn't force themselves into the Big Ten championship controversially. They didn't pay the committee to put them in the playoff. All of this was out of their control. Yet they are getting the blame.
Exactly it’s not our fault one opponent of ours has Covid issues and another claimed to but really ducked us like we started later
They have been gifted a couple of playoffs in 2014 and 2016 though

Ohio state doesn't know what would have happened if they had played 11 more games someone could have gotten hurt or sick or even lost a game you can't assume that you would have won to just played 6 games yall don't qualify
They played two games with tons of guys out because of sickness. And while injuries can happen, more games would also allow them to work out their issues on the field. The point is, we really don’t know what would’ve happened with more games.
Ohio State also had Dobbins drop two passes that would have been touchdowns, a roughing the kicker, and the targeting call. That was all worth 22 points. Ohio State cannot shoot themselves in the foot on Friday.

I’m an Ohio State fan and I agree except for the targeting call which was questionable and the catch fumble return touchdown but we shot ourselves in the foot in the red zone with only coming away with field goals but Clemson won and it is what it is

Agreed. When I'm coaching a team (youth etc) I tell them do not leave it in the hands of the refs, umpires.

Dabo handed a cfp victory then the following yr handed his own ast.
As a fan of BYU I like where he's coming from. But, the college football fan in me wants the BEST teams in the playoff. And now we know Ohio St belonged where they were ranked.
But they only played 6 games. All of the other teams played more than 10 games and so their players got injured. Alabama has 2 top players that can't play in the championship because they played all of their games and OSU has most all of their players because they didn't get injured from playing a lot.

@Jason B. he missed 2 games where as ohio state missed 3 so they are comparative, but the underlying fundamental argument is not to punish because of the disease but dabo only thinks its ok to punish other programs because of an infectious disease. overall just a gross stance to take.

@Raging Rich - Fair points. It wasn’t your choice. It was the Big 10’s choice. But they could’ve started earlier, but they didn’t. In starting late, things were going to happen like games not be played because of Covid. I look at it like this. Do we penalize a team for only playing six games, or do we reward a team for playing 11 games? I tend to lean toward the latter. Fact of the matter is Ohio State very well could’ve won the remaining games, but that’s why you play the game. You never know until you play the game who’s going to win that game. So I tend to lean in the same camp as Dabo on this one.
OSU is probably worse than Coastal Carolina, but both are better than Clemson now.
