Every season since Mac left UNC lost at least 5 games a season except the 2015 season. This season UNC went 8 - 4 and a trip to a new years bowl. UNC beat State and Duke again this year. UNC had a great season.

A&M has played pretty much 3rd string players all season. I can't believe they did as good as they did

Is Monds only a junior. If he is then he might return. If not Haynes King is the starter for next year. And he is faster and has a great arm. Football intelligents is rated as high as the NFL. So he is very good.

Best sports announcers I have ever experienced on an Aggie game. I would love to see them on every Aggie game. I enjoyed their detailed knowledge of each player on both sides of the ball. Normally, you hear a high level of negativity for one of the 2 teams. They acknowledged the strong points for each team with no mention of weakness. It was an extremely enjoyable game for me. These guys know football. Thank you!
Right? They were impartial and had good knowledge of both teams. Play-by-play announcers, if they are this good, make watching the game much more fun
I personally loved the announcer from the South Carolina game. never knew what he was gonna say. like when Mond ran for like a 10 yard TD and the announcer said "oh he hit em with the okie doke sauce"... it was stupid but it had me laughing

the play-by-play announcer called it early in the game ... they said NC was doing a great job of staying with A&M but it’s in the second half when A&M pulls away once opponents aren’t able to keep it up.

That’s not really what happened. TAMU scored the go ahead TD with 3 min left in the game. That doesn’t sound like UNC wasn’t “able to keep up”.
A&M only had one real “blowout” and that was against South Carolina. Their MO is to wear you down for 3 quarters and pull away late in the 4th.

@@Sethsters A&M blew out Arkansas as well. We were up 42-17 going into the 4th. In the fourth we decided to play real conservative and get a few of our backups some playing time.
Also, that Tennessee game wasn't even as close as the score showed.
So Instead of losing to Bama they win a bowl game and will probably be ranked #3... good for A&M

This was a fun one to watch. I went into it not really having a rooting interest, but once we got that shot of Dazz Newsome staring into the camera and peacocking, I was TAMU all the way.
Dazz was just trying to get his name out there. He had a much better Junior season. His NFL stock fell off a cliff. He needed to have a bigger game.

Yeah totally agree, the reason SEC’s schools records aren’t very good is because they have to play some of these teams: 1 Alabama, 5 Texas A&M, 7 Florida, 8 Georgia, and despite a down season, the defending national champs LSU, who without doubt will be back in playoff consideration sometime in the next 3 years

Not an A&M fan, and definitely not a Jimbo Fisher fan, but kudos to the Aggies for a helluva season. Having played a full SEC schedule and only losing to Bama, the Aggies should have been the 4th team in the playoff.
Could not agree any more. Aggies only played teams in their division, and they are clearly in the hardest division. 3 out of the 4 teams ranked ahead of them going into the bowls didn't even have to play a hard division because of this Covid. Seriously Aggies got absolutely robbed from a Championship game imo. They'll end up ranked #3 at the end of all this but they got robbed, hard to even debate it. SMH... College needs to go to a playoff system, it's the only way to prevent teams like this from being completely scammed. Sad to see

Everybody wants to bring up UNCs opt outs but doesnt want to talk about A&M missing their top 2 WRs, starting CB, LB, and DE.
and it was completely predictable. A&M wins by 14, double the spread, against a hungry hungry talented team that ND beat by the exact same margin. yet the haters try to take it away from them. yet another decisive win with only loss to Alabama in week 2 (clearly the best in the nation), and their regular season opponents winning upsets in bowl games, is still not enough for them. It will never be enough for those haters. The SEC is 6-2 in bowl games so far (2 or 3 of them being "upsets"). The ACC is 0-6. and last year the SEC was 8-2. The haters are in jealous denial.

@@robertjones7595 Florida was missing the best tight end in the country and their whole receiving core. With them there the game is much closer, but the way Oklahoma has been playing I still think they win in a shoot out if both squads are healthy. Oklahoma in my opinion was the best bet to give Alabama a game in the playoffs. We've struggled with high powered offenses and that's exactly what they are. Oklahoma certainly would've did better then Notre dame.

To all of the NC excuse makers saying 4 players opted out: A&M had 6 starters on offense and defense opt-out before the season began, and you lost to the 3rd string A&M freshman running back. Think about that while you stew over your 14 point loss.
UNC lost 4,000 yards of their offensive production immediately prior to the game. No one expected Carolina to keep up with Texas A&M because of that. The game was a lot closer than the final score shows. It was a fun game to watch.

Congrats UNC on completing the ACCs stellar bowl run of 0 - 6, while TAMU completed the dominant SECs bowl campaign with a 6-2 record.

@Dr. Hyde the Werewolf both our rbs went over 1100 yards and Carter was averaging 8 yds per carry, Williams had a lg best 22 combines rushing and receiving tds. Also missing Diyami Brown who was our #1 wr and our best lb in Chazz Surratt. Just as you said one guy can be “the difference” 3 of our difference makers on offense didn’t play neither did our best lb who coulda stopped some of those big runs late in the 4th 🤷🏽♂️

Imagine having to go a whole year only playing against each other. Alabama is different animal but in general most teams were way better than their records showed in the SEC
Kentucky, Miss State, and Ole Miss had impressive wins.
I know we ended up giving up 41 points, but what a game from our defense for the first 55 minutes of this game. We are now getting all 11 starters back from this game, plus bringing in some stud recruits from the 2021 class. Very bright future in Chapel Hill.
That Tyree Johnson sack looked a lot like Myles Garrett bending the edge.
It’s tough that both of our stud RBs opted out on this game. We’ll always be left wondering what could have been if they decided to play. It would be cool to see a rematch next year without the crucial opt outs.

Anyone has suggestions on preventing players from opting out?
They get scholarships to play football but doesn't play all of them. They should be required to play all if getting an education for free. They bailed out on their teams and not right.

Alabama gave up a garbage time touchdown with 56 seconds left, also judging by how Alabama has played all year, they took their foot off the gas and coasted starting in like the middle of the 3rd. Knowing Alabama, the score could’ve easily been 41-7 Bama if they would’ve kept trying.

- Defense had at times playing 5-7 true FR on defense (especially the back 4)

I look forward to UNC creeping closer to Clemson. That being said, for the most part I kind of view the players you mentioned as opting out to be fairly interchangeable on most teams, and UNC likes to spread things around enough that I'm not sure it mattered that much. If a team can't win without its No. 1 receiver or a top back, it doesn't really have a passing or running game.
@@AJHart-eg1ys I'd agree to all but the RB's. They change the dynamic of the game for UNC. Look at A&M tonight and you can tell that it opens up the offense when you can consistently run the ball effectively. Not having either back in the game or even just one back with at least a half of season's worth of experience really hurt.

A@M in my opinion would have been a 7 point favorite over Notre Dame. I think they should have but. If they lost in the playoffs it would have hurt their ranking. So with this win tonight A@M should finish either no. 3 or 4 in the nation. Unless they squeeze Oklahoma ahead of A@M.
