I’m honestly kind of skeptical with Justin fields as an NFL QB. He’s got extraordinary talent, but also has some pretty big flaws! He rarely ever goes through progressions, Hold onto the ball too long and tends to lock onto one receiver too much! NFL defenses
will eat him up alive, if he doesn’t change that! I’m not saying that he can’t change things around though. Also, if you look at The recent timeline of Ohio State QBs playing in the NFL, it has looked absolutely horrendous! Most recently Dwayne Haskins, a guy with loads of talent but didn’t do anything! Cordell Jones and JT Barrett, never Heard anything from them! And then most importantly Terrell Pryor! A guy who really has a very similar game to Justin fields, and was a massive bust! This really leads me to believe that Ohio State is a QB System school. Very, very skeptical...

Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields have been considered the # 1 and #2 players in the country since high school, depending on who you prefer the most. In my opinion, they are clearly still the 1 and 2 best overall players. Don't know why Trevor is being considered better as the draft approaches when it's obvious that Justin can make every throw that Trevor can, is more athletic, and runs in the ballpark of 4.4 speed on a good day. The very 1st meeting between the two made it clear that Fields could match Lawrence score for score. Its beyond me why people felt that this would change this year. Before this Sugar Bowl, both possessed only 1 career loss, and they are both now 1-1 head to head, with Fields taking the lead in career wins to losses. Lawrence lead his team to a Natty in his 1st year even though his numbers wasn't good enough to be a Heisman finalist. Fields became a Heisman trophy runner-up in his 1st year as a starter. Neither of these things happen that often but, can you really weigh one over the other?. They is no way there should be any gap between these players. No one projected in the top 10 has come close to accomplishing what these two players have. accomplished in the past two seasons.

He needs some work in some areas yes, but to come out of college with the tools he already has is extremely rare and that is why Trevor is getting the hype. I wish they would get someone on the show like George Whitfield to explain this to him. Justin is great. He played amazing and is showing he has really good potential at the next level but he is not on the same level as Trevor. And talking about discounting records against the big boys for Trevor, Patrick Mahomes starting record at Texas Tech was 13-17. The OSU offense is set up for Fields to make very few reads and then scramble. It is not an offense that will translate to the pro level (see previous OSU QB's in the NFL). Hes not the best at presnap reads and his accuracy is good but not on the level of Trevor. Now all of that said, Fields definitely has the tools to become a great NFL quarterback.
