Hey Desmond, you and just about everybody else forgets that Fields didn't have two of his three best receivers against Northwestern and against Indiana he led the team to a 35-7 halftime score and it wasn't him who gave up 28 points in the second half.

The NFL scouts see his leadership and he is an amazing athlete and if some of the teams drafting early pass on him they will regret it when he goes to a much better team like the Colts for example and gets to sit a bit behind Rivers with that OL and skill players and top tier defense and Frank Reich as his coach and play caller. It's not the first contract it's the second one. Lawrence is going to Jets or Jags and is going to take a beating, might not even make it to a 2nd contract, Darnold drafted #3 and Jets are moving on.

He lit clemson up last year. Had one interception that was his fault. Olave broke route and that caused the last one. Trevor Lawrence had 8 interceptions in the first half of last season against unranked defenses and no one batted an eye.

He didn’t light up Clemson but he did throw for 300 and a score. He threw for more yards than Lawrence. Heck most of Lawrence passing yards were all cause of dump offs to Etienne. Ohio state D had him harassed and confused all game. He had that one huge run and that’s it.
Fields also had a dropped TD and of course olave running the wrong route at the end.

He struggles with the simple stuff. He has so much potential but at this point in his college career he shouldn’t struggle with underneath coverage like he has. Still the 2nd best QB in the draft class IMO. However I could see some teams coveting Zach Wilson over him too.

Fields is the real deal, but he’s also human and all humans have off days now and then. Great hitting sometimes experience hitting slumps, does that mean he’s not a great hitter, just like Trevor Lawrence struggled out of the gate last year; didn’t hear anyone say he dropping in his draft position, not to mention his abysmal performance in the national championship game against LSU, just shows you he’s human and all of have struggles, but it doesn’t mean that there’s not greatness still to come. J. Fields is the real DEAL, PERIOD!!!

Talking heads love to disregard all of the facts until they’re relevant. Fields isn’t a concern. He’s always held the ball too long but now that he’s played with a pandemic-filled roster and had to establish rapport with new players he’s gonna make more mistakes. This season he’s trying to put the team on his back, sometimes it results in him doing too much
He doesn't have the talent from last year. He's not as good as the hype. He was a good high school qb that could run around and make plays. He did same at OSU last yr. But when faced w a legit D.....
On the offensive side they might be better in some ways. They have better receiving cure this year and a very good line. The position less talented is our running back group. He’s struggled twice in his whole career and you think he’d trash smh Trevor has struggled too. Every single player has had acouple bad games. He’s a good as the hype bruh
