DeVonta is easily the best football player in the college game this year. He deserves it!
The last 3 Heisman winners were QBs that transferred from where they originally signed. Jones and Trask waited their turn and are now Heisman finalist.

If the SEC deemed Devontae Smith as the best athlete in the SEC then it's a waste to include Trask and Jones as Heisman finalist since they lost a "mini heisman" award.

Najee reminds me of Eric Dickerson. I think Davante earns this recognition this year..
Any of the QB's would be a deserving choice, but the fans and voters have gotten same-ol'-same-ol' "QB fatigue." Thus Devonta stands out as a refreshing contrast and change to that. But it's no big deal one way or the other - like so many others ("beauty" contests for example) - this award is only theoretical and not actual. The Pitts guy is a monster as well, for example. But seeing somebody as humble as Devonta win it is just icing on the cake for Bama fans. TL will be laughing all the way to the bank and will quickly get over it.

Kyle Trask.....he did MUCH more with far less than the other candidates. His whole trajectory is just so incredible. He deserves it.
No he didn't. He had plenty of offensive weapons; just as much as Alabama and Clemson. And he still managed to lose 3 games. Mac Jones won his games. Jones and Smith are more deserving; but Smith will win it!

Devonta is the greatest athlete in this group, and what he's doing burning so many great DBs is just so rare. He's clearly the best receiver in the country, and I'd like to see him win it.

I've been more impressed by Mac Jones' play this year than DeVonta Smith or Trevor Lawrence. So what if Mac Jones has 'powerful weapons' around him? They're only able to be his 'weapons' in the first place because Mac is getting the ball to them in tight passing windows and in perfect stride. Mac Jones is being undervalued for two reasons :
*•* Alabama's prolonged success has people dismissing him as a "system QB" who'd otherwise be nothing without Steve Sarkisian
*•* He's a traditional dropback passer in an age of flashy dual threat QBs
Five years ago he would've been valued more, but after a decade defined by Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel, Baker Mayfield, Tua, and Joe Burrow, the only QBs the media are capable of paying attention to nowadays are the ones who run a 4.5 in the 40 yd dash

No team that has multiple “Heisman Finalists” should win the award. Who is actually the best one. Doesn’t one make the other better and give them the stats? Choose the guy with least amount of talent around him but has helped his team excel: Trask, Lawrence then the Bama guys.
It should be Trevor Lawrence because without him the team would not have accomplished what they have or made it that far Alabama have multiple Stars so you lose one of them you gain another one you gain another one and another one like the Heisman is for the one that puts the team together and without that one it can't be a team

Lawrence is definitely the most deserving. He's contributed by far the most to his team, and he's consistently been the most dominant player in college football.
